Waste of money

This app is a joke. Crashes often. And the functionality is weak. Creating a task is simple, but cannot have sub tasks. Tasks and summaries are the same thing with a different icon. If you don't log into drop box you have to force quit the app. The screen has invisible borders, so when in landscape if you move your project too far left or right and/or down or up it will disappear... Forever.Seems like they just wanted their name in the app marketplace... No quality whatsoever in this product. 1 star because I like the background of the app at the main screen.

For the price tough to beat...

I aw able to whip out timeline for small project involving 3 subs and multiple tasks in about 15 minutes and I have never used a gantt chart before. It would be nice to have some online instructions for us beginners and what would be great is if when adding resources you could just import from your contacts. But for $6 it is tough to complain.

Very good project planning tool, recommend

Very good project management tool. You can enter tasks much like in Microsoft project. You can easily move the tasks around, assign dependencies and start, duration for each task. You can see how your project looks on the Gantt chart. Very good tool, highly recommend. I had a question to the developer and it was answered within half an hour and my problem was resolved.

Works great!

I'm creating projects in GanttProject on my iMac and importing them into iPad Project Planner HD through Dropbox. Then I modify projects in Project Planner HD, and export back to GanttProject via Dropbox. Everything looks fine. so far I'm very pleased with this app. I just wish I could zoom in to see things easier. I see they have that on their to-do list with a high priority. So, I look forward to that.I was so glad to find this app, as GanttProject is a java app, and I don't think there is anyway to run a java app on an iPad.

Still not ready yet

I wrote a review of the version 1.1 and voiced concerns regarding instability and awkward data entry. Here is my review of Version 1.1.1The author has fixed the app crash which occurs after deleting empty new task. Also data entry into "Duration" is much responsive. However, this version still has several serious bugs:1. In adding New Task, either Summary or Milestones, it's impossible to enter data to "Allocation" 2. In Preferences, if one edit and delete a Role, the apps will crash every times. Minor issue: in Preferences, if you add a new Role, it will not appear until you close the Preferences and reopen it.3. In Resource, you can ONLY delete a resource but NOT edit Allocations or add/change a Resource

Good App!

I was thinking in an iPad App similar to Microsoft Project to keep tracking on projects but in an easy way. Even Microsoft Project is very comprehensive tool regarding Project Management, this particular App satisfy the basics of Project Management, is very easy to use and one can have full visibility and control of the schedule, advances of overall activities, etc. Moreover, the Gantt chart can be exported for edition outside the iPad if needed, resource allocations can be made and it can be viewed the load across the Project's duration even labor costs can be entered (but not yet automatically calculated in activities), very handy and when it comes to present advances or an snapshot of the overall Project's execution as the whole Gantt chart can be exported and shared via email in PDF format. I want to highlight this App shows according to the schedule defined the respective active task and its advance in a quick summary. I recommend it.

A lot of hype.

I needed a program today, so I purchased this instead of downloading a free limited program. I opened the program and it is all grayed out and II can’t see any titles. The project screen is white but it won’t accept the dates and the calendar doesn’t work.I got on here and wrote to app support and they said that they would get back in a few days.I feel totally ripped off.I’ll never buy another app that doesn’t have a free trial period.

Awful Waste

I have been looking for any type of Gantt chart type program for my ipad2 as I have been able to Utilize this to run a 12mil dollar project with the use of my IPAD2. So since I can not buy MS PROJECT or Schedule track etc for the ipad I bought this one, and honestly it is the worst program by far.A Gantt chart is suppose to be able to be modified according to activities new and old, this does not give the end user the ability to add tasks//summary to the list after it is created. So if a Change occurs that you need to schedule in between a already set item, well your screwed, Secondly, there is no way to Just print the actual chart without the other pages, and that is a waste, all I care about seeing is the chart. Next, there is no way to go in and select certain tasks and link them either to start early, late or hell just link them without confining them to a task, so no sub-sub tasks can be added. I wasted my money with this and now I continue looking for something that will work, that can do the project scheduling I need to complete.

Bugs in program, decent project organizer

Bugs in program where it dumps out after deleting a task or starting a new project. Please fix this bug for the ipad version. It is not affecting the iPhone version. If you like the Gantt chart, this is a good program for you to use.

Project Manager

Overall, this is a good app. Good for basic task tracking and note taking. Reason for only three stars is when Exporting as a PDF, if not are too long, the program cuts the notes out to fit in box, even though there is more then enough space to include them. A nice feature would be if it helped budget your costs out. Good app for basic planning, but not for full fledge Project Manangement.
