Excellent!

I like that this app has the feel of an exploration and adventure. Not everything is apparent at first, but if you take some time and explore, there are incredible "sights" (and insights) hidden within.

Glitches & Outdated

I really want to use this and the bone POMT… but the software hasn’t been updated in a few years. The bone POMT is completely unusable. This is an amazing model to use in the classroom, hopefully the apps can be updated ASAP so they’re usable.

A good start - not enough detail

I got bored after 1 minute of use. The concept is great but it felt underdeveloped. There is not enough detail on the several layers. As an example, only red blood cells are seen during blood flow. The cytoplasm is awfully lacking detail. This app is a good intro for someone the age of 4, such as my daughter who already knew the contents presented. The automatic panning should be removed from the application; don't make it the default operational mode. It is inconvenient to hold the iPad flat to prevent the automatic panning. Keep working on it. It is a great concept, just prematurely released.

Awesome!!

Finally, biological elements and processes in words that I can actually understand, and interactive pics!! Thank you! This is great. In the next version, I would like to see more detail in the descriptions of things, although I know how hard it is to condense this material without it getting confusing. maybe with additional pictures or the ability to zoom in on other items and processes (for example, the process of DNA transcription and translation). Super awesome! :)

Amazing and beautiful

This is serious app. The download takes a while. I installed it on an iPhone 5 without problem. Got me psyched but the screensiwe does not do the app justice. I also ran it on an old iPad. Much easier to interact with the ux. however I cannot go deeper than the skin without crashing. Not sure what's happening. This is frustrating.

Developer needs to update app

First message you get on opening. This app hasn't been updated in 4 years and the last updates were merely language fixes. Not worth $2 - not enough info and graphics are dated.

flashy but empty

I purchased this app for my iPod a few days ago, wondering if I might be able to recommend it to my high school biology students. I was very disappointed. Some of the pictures are good, but despite the advertising, it is not really a game and the actual science content is quite limited. You get a brief pop up window of factoids when you click on some cell structures, but this does not occur for all structures. The so called animations consist of sparkling and wiggling images that give no sense of process or of relationships among the organelles. You can exhaust the full range and content of the app in approximately 10 minutes. I can not recommend it to my students or to anyone else. The only good news? It only cost a dollar. It might be of some use if it received a massive upgrade, both of graphics and of information, hence my title - flashy but empty.

Woefully disappointing app

I teach high school biology and chemistry and purchased this app. It is mind-boggling in terms of slow loading and sluggish behavior. And, once started, it is not clear what the user is supposed to do. After the third time of waiting several minutes for it load, I deleted it. I wish I could rate this with negative stars to offset the five-star ratings that I believe are bogus.

Pretty Good

I love this app, I just wish it could zoom in on red blood cells.
