Waste of money

It connects but there is an 18 second lag before it comes up on the computer!

Unusable

Loud buzzing when using this for a mic. Glad it wasn't expensive because it did not work as advertised.

mediocre at best

Get the other program they offer for $4 instead. In setting this up with Ventrilo, I did get it to work. Much finagling and reboot required after downloading their software on my computer. The latency is at least moderately unbearable, while the sound quality is decent, this version does not include the driver for the headphone speakers. They charge $4 for that version of the program. I have to say that if you want to try this, try that one because the feedback loop between saying something, your speakers playing it out loud and then the clear and crisp echo 3-4 times is absolutely unbearable, even in an otherwise silent room. I'd use headphones to remove the feedback from the loop, but they would cover the microphone... in the headphones I'm already using. Complete and utter fail. I don't understand why they even offer this program, when it only includes half the functionality. I guess to screw you out of an extra $2 when you have to buy the $4 anyways to do what you initially wanted.

Another bad review

Installed the PocketControl app on my Mac, and installed the PocketAudio (Microphone) app on my iPod touch. The apps automatically found each other and connected. Very slick. Then I used Rogue Amoeba’s LineIn app to listen to the audio being streamed from the iPod - it was awful! Buzzy, choppy, and laggy. Playing with the audio quality options in the iPod app didn’t help. Compared to the built-in mic on my MacBook, PocketAudio is completely unusable.I may try fooling with it more later. If I get better results, I’ll update this review. Meanwhile, if anyone has had good results, please let us know.

Worthless app

What a waste of money, this app does not even work. You can connect it to your computer but you can not get your voice inside the computer. They would have to pay me to use this app, worst app ever!

It works well for me!

I'm using this app for the iPad 3rd generation and a high spec 64bit windows 7 computer. The installation was easy, and it works as advertised. The app opens and closes quickly, looks nice, and above all, it works like a charm. When using it for VOIP services, there is a 3 second delay from when you speak until the person hears, which takes a bit of getting used to, other than that, the app works as advertised and is well worth the money.

Works perfectly!

Not sure another other reviewers' problems, this app works just as advertised for me. I launch the application on my computer (Windows 7 64-bit) and the app on my phone automatically connects and is recognized as a microphone. The sound quality is perfect, but has an ~3 second delay. Worth the $2 if you don't have a microphone and don't mind a bit of delay.

Good, but room for improvement

This app works as advertised. While other reviewers have pointed out the delay (typically 2 seconds) between speaking and receipt, the developer also points this out as a limitation. This could be improved by offering bluetooth communication as an option; as it is, this works over WiFi only.I use Camtasia to remove the audio delay when I'm making recordings, so it's no big deal to me.Another limitation is that it only works when the device is unlocked. Thus the screen is lit and the touch-screen is live the entire time you're using it. You have to be VERY careful of stray finger touches, and you will waste extra power keeping the screen bright. Having the app continue to relay sound when locked would be a huge improvement! Finally, an in-app volume control would be awesome.
