Wonderful; a few suggestions

This app is fantastic. I paid for the premium almost immediately because it’s so lovely. The design is absolutely beautiful and the functionality is almost perfect. I would like a “tab” button in the hot bar (for indenting paragraphs) because I use the app for novel writing. It would also be wonderful to be able to switch the articles between a chronological view and a manually sorted view. :D

So lovely.

I'm giving this five stars. I don't care what bad things anyone has to say. This app is so lovely. It's like when someone insults an kind granpa. This app has helped me through thick and thin, with depression. Depression kinda gotta in the way of me writing down my thoughts. But I enjoy this app even though it does pain me to write sometimes. It is easy to use and I have nothing bad to say about it. Usually all apps have quirks. But not this one. Much love and appreciation. <3

GREAT

I don't know what it is about this app, but it's really calms me. I'm a story writer, and to prep my stories I write them on this app. Of course I don't have the premium, because I'm poor but j want to get it because I want to make more stories, but since I use the app to wrote stories I end up pasting it and reusing the story so it pretty good. And I like the swiping to next article to the next. I love the app over all.

Really like it

I really like this app. It is very clean, organized and stylish in the most simplistic way! I do ask for one thing if possible...next time, can you please try to add a side menu to see all the stories and articles listed? I think that will make it easier for me to select which story I want to be in and find articles that I wrote in the past....anyway, I really recommend this to everyone!

The Only Thing Missing. . .

One of my favorite apps, and arguably the best diary/journaling app. With the 1-time buy of premium instead of a subscription model, and what it offers, it really shows the developers also care for more than just money.The only thing missing from this near-perfect package is an option for the theme of the app to automatically follow the system’s theme, switching between dark and light just as the phone does.That’s all.

Trivial Update and Now Privacy Intrusions

THE INSULT: Waiting ten months for a trivial update that added a few fonts while basic functionality goes ignored, such as font formatting (requested repeatedly). THE INJURY: Turns out the developer is using third-party crashlytics, etc. to collect “anonymized” user data such as OS and session duration—presumptively and presumptuously, i.e., without my permission. A good program initially, but the anemic update history and privacy intrusions have hurt it. Will be looking for a replacement with better functionality, more committed and responsive development, and zero privacy incursions.

Love this app! I’m writing again!

(TLDR @ bottom!) I love, love this app! I’d been trying to find a writing app for a really long time. I stumbled upon PenCake and fell in love! 1. No ads! Like what??2. Easy to use 3. You can write for hours and hours 4. The free version gives you so much and you can work with it Thanks to PenCake, I’m actually writing and making progress. I’ve had the app for a while now, and finally got the premium. Personally, I wouldn’t pay 5.99 for an app, but here’s why I did. 1. One time payment2. Unlimited stories3. Night mode 4. More things to come, yay5. And the biggest reason I did it: TO SUPPORT THE APP!! TLDR? I love this app. Free, easy to use, no ads. Premium gives you more writing chances, is a one time payment, and supports this awesome app. Thanks PenCake! 😊

the one-time purchase premium version is the best app for writing poetry*

if you write poems but don't always feel like turning on your computer or digging for a notebook, especially if you’re in bed or on your lunch break or even in the bathroom, this app is the easiest way to write or revise on poems. Very easy to change font size to make various line lengths work.there aren’t a lot of options to mess with indents, spacing, or alignment — unfortunately — but for early drafts this is perfectly serviceable *I’m sure one of those word processor apps & attaching a keyboard would be the “best” way to write poems on a phone, but at that point it defeats the point of the phone’s convenience”

Great design to get right to it

This is the first app that gets the “feel” of writing from its design. I could see an argument for a better search system, but then it would feel like all the other note apps. This is not for high-yield writing - go to $crivner for that. This is more casual and that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.

Personally, best notes app i've ever used

I downloaded the app recently, and this is the most relief i've felt in so long. I've been looking for a note-taking / journaling app for months that actually makes me want to use it; pleasing to the eye, simple and elegant-ish format, and easy to use. This is everything I want it to be, and the layout of having different "stories" with articles under each, and then each story having its own page that can be easily reached by swiping, it's literally a dream. I have nothing but praise for it. The design, format, and concept, it all gives me such a calming feeling and doesn't create any of the anxiety and pressure i've felt trying to use other notes or journaling apps. I don't know if what I'm trying to express comes through the way I want it, because reading this again it sounds overdramatic, but i'm just so grateful i've found an app that doesn't make me feel obligated or overwhelmed. I've never ever found one that I've been able to stand for longer than a week. Whatever. This app is great. Good job!!
