Great App

I love the Partly Sunny weather app. Some of the awesome features about this app include: The app is easy for me to navigate through it, I have all of my family's out of town weather on one screen, The day-by-day graph is handy as it plots the high and low temps for my work week, The pollen count is helpful for my allergy needs, Try it, you will find that it is the most accurate weather app around. You won't be disappointed. The radar that has been added is a welcomed addition to me, especially when I am traveling.

New Favorite Weather App!

Partly Sunny is now my favorite weather app! The app design is sleek, easy to use and super intuitive. It features loads of customizable options that I can use depending on what my current needs are. Prior to this I was using another weather app almost exclusively, but after stumbling across Partly Sunny, I have changed my mind! One weekend while my family was visiting, we were supposed to do some outdoor sight seeing. The forecast on my previous weather app called for gloom and rain all weekend. Partly Sunny, however, gave a much more optimistic outlook. So we decided to take our chances and go with what PS forecasted. I’m very grateful we did because what PS predicted was far more accurate and we ended up being able to do everything outside that we wanted to do. Since then, I’ve never gone back to the old app. It seems that other apps show a more generalized “safe” prediction while PS isn’t afraid to report a more detailed and precise forecasts. Well worth the switch!

The BEST Weather App!

I loved this app so much, I was wary of doing the new big update. So I waited and read the reviews. Happily, my fears were unfounded. The app has lost nothing, and is even a bit better than the great app it was before. The best new feature for me is the combo “chance of precipitation/amount of precipitation” option… so great to have that!I’m getting the yearly subscription mainly to support the developer and the wonderful job he’s doing.

My favorite weather app

I’ve been using Partly Sunny since the beginning and it’s the first weather app that has combined a design I really like with thoughtful UX design and detailed data if I want it. I love the graphs and the happy little icons and being able to use the “feels like” temperature at a glance.I signed up for the yearly subscription so I can see yesterday’s weather and it’s been really helpful when I’m getting dressed in the morning. I’ve also used the time machine feature while packing for the holidays since I couldn’t remember how cold it was last year. Great timing for this update!

Very inaccurate

I have had this app for a few months now, and I think it is organized well with a great user interface. The main reason I need this app is for the 5 day forecast and the hourly forecast, and the app fails miserably in these two areas. For the 5 day, the app is accurate with same day temperatures, but jump ahead 2 days, and the app temperatures differs from my local television forecasts by 5 to 10 degrees! I can understand 2 or 3 degrees difference, but 10? I don’t know which forecast model the app uses, but it does not predict well. The same problem exists with the hourly forecast - the app tells you there is a low probability of rain, but outside it is pouring and the radar shows it will be around for quite some time.

Almost perfect, widget can be tweaked

I will start by saying that the app itself is beautiful and perfect 5/5. I have literally tried dozens of other weather apps and this one is by far the best. I love all the large in app icons for the weather and the hour by hour graph works very well. I also love how bold the icons look when you swipe up to wee the weekly forecast.However, a bit of criticism, I don't think that the clean, bold and beautiful icons translate well into the widget. Here are a few suggestions I have.1) While the hour by hour graph looks great in the app, on the widget it takes too much unnecessary room while the widget is expanded and leaves a lot unused wasted space. I feel like it could easily be condensed hight wise about 10-20%. This would allow for point 2.2) The weekly forecast icons are so easily visible and large/bold in the app but on the widget they are squeezed in on the bottom very tightly and are so small that its hard to see them. I feel like if the hourly graph on top was condensed it would allow more room for the weekly forecast icons on the bottom. This way the widgets icons would be proportional to the in app icons and the whole widget would feel just a bit cleaner and in sync with the app. But other than that I love the app, I just think the widget could be tweaked.

Best I’ve tried.

I’m pretty sure I’ve downloaded every single weather app that there is. I was looking for a replacement for “Today” that would take full advantage of the iPhone X screen. This is the best. The interface is simple, elegant, clean. It is easy to navigate and it puts everything I want at my fingertips. Highly recommend.

Just a pretty face

This app looks amazing, but the weather is ridiculously inaccurate! Temperature is frequently off and precipitation percentages are a joke. I have been taking screen shots of three weather apps over the last week and this one is, by far, the MOST-off of the three...by a lot. They say it uses Dark Sky for weather, but I just opened Dark Sky and it’s forecast is completely different than the one I am seeing in this app for the exact same location. I don’t care if it looks good...if the data and weather forecasts are wrong or bad, the app is useless.

Beautiful app, terrible weather forecasting

This is by far the best designed weather app. It’s beautiful and has all the information I want. The downside is in he forecast. It’s terrible for rain prediction. Sometimes other apps (weather channel and accuweather) will say 70 or 80% chance while this says 20%. They are correct and this is wrong. I still use this to check temperatures because it gives good “feels like” temp forecasts but it not my go to app anymore because I can’t rely on the precipitation numbers.

Gorgeous and easy to use! Two suggestions

This app is very thoughtfully designed and includes more weather info than you thought you’d want. A great experience and the widget is awesome! Two suggestions would be a change from light to dark themes automatically based on the time of day, and also iCloud sync to make managing locations easier between iPhone and iPad. Other than that, couldn’t be happier!
