iOS paint
I used to hate MS Paint, but recently I’ve realized maybe why they don’t add new features—sometimes you just need a basic editor. You have to admit, if you have a Windows computer, you have used MS paint at some point in time.If you just need to draw up a quick diagram without pulling out a fancy image editor, this is perfect.No layers, no anti-aliasing, no high-def tools.Perfect in its simplicity.
Great app with suggestions to make it better
This is a very well done adaptation of ms paint on iOS. It's getting there, and what's nice is that it's always updating and the developers are very responsive to the reviews. I have my own thoughts on what could make this app better:-Having a gallery that allows users to copy and paste between images would be nice and also have connectivity to Files.-and having more of the features on the desktop version of ms paint I would like because then it would make this app feel more ms paint.-having layers that you can export, while not true to the spirit of ms paint, would be good for those animating on an iPad who want to attempt ms paint style animations that were popular a decade ago -I don't really like the mouse buttons that allow you to draw. While the touch function makes it better I feel that just drawing with a stylus being the left click and panning and zooming being touch functions and also keeping the right click button for its intended functions would be nice-rotating the canvas would be good too
Amazing app!!
WOW! I love this app, this app is just like MS paint and this is exactly what I wanted because I was never able to get MS paint on the iPad and I didn't have a computer, but until I saw this and downloaded it, it really changed my life. Whoever made this app, thank you so much! But on the other hand, I do have a tensy little problem..I don't like how I always have to click the mouse buttons whenever I need to draw, can you change that and make a better solution for it please? Pros and Cons
Note: I was using an Apple Pencil on an IPad Pro (what, a 10 inch I think?)Cons:You can’t turn it horizontal. You must draw in portrait.Lifting your writing tool must be done straight up. If the tool slants you will add a mark/make your line crooked. Without the adjust boxes along the line, you can’t move it. Have to redraw line.“UNDO” button is located within the three bar menu. Personally, I need a lot of undo.Pros:Free creative tool with a familiar, almost nostalgic design. I find MediBang Paint and others to be confusing. Sorry, I’m dumb.Did I mention it’s free? Can’t go wrong with that. If you don’t like it, just uninstall.Works easily with the updated Notability app. Can easily copy and paste back and forth. Awesome.
Undo & Redo
I've seen other people comment on this, and I would also like to request that the undo & redo buttons are made better accessible. This app is obviously not intended for serious graphic design and more for fun doodles, and I love the overall layout (I have been looking for an MS paint substitute for a while), but my experience is definitely limited with how tedious it is to open the settings every time I want to undo, which is very frequent. Please fix this, if so I can see myself using this app a lot more in the future!
Some Ideas!!
A magnificent app, gotta say, it’s pretty much exactly like an MS Paint made for mobile!! Though I would agree with a lot of the other reviews, there are some features that could be added to make this an even greater experience!!!-Layers, it’s a must in any digital art app!-Rotating Canvas, again, a must! It’s easier for most artists to rotate the canvas to be able to work better!-Export to gallery feature! I noticed I couldn’t really save my work into my photo gallery straight away, so it would be appreciated if we could be able to do so!!-Transparent background, it’d also be a blessing to have a transparent background feature too!!!-And finally, not necessary, but I believe it would also help a lot if we were able to use the app in landscape mode!! I use an iPad for this app, and it’s uncomfortable having to keep it upright to draw!!!Please consider adding some of these features in the future!!! Again, love the app a ton!! Keep up the great work!!!
Excellent reimagining of a classic
Simple, straightforward. Nothing you haven't seen before, but everything you love about MS Paint. My only suggestions would be to add the black & white mode from MS Paint that turns the color palette into halftones, and also a way to make the color palette always visible. Besides that, everything is faithful to the original in the best way possible. Thank you so much for this app and I look forward to supporting its development!
Exactly what I needed
I had a picture I needed to splice together. Two halves of you will. No other app I could find could do this. I was thinking to myself “ I used to be able to do this so easy with windows paint back in the day. “ I searched the App Store and found Paint 98 and was thrilled. It took a little while to remember how to do it and to traverse the app and it’s abilities but ultimately I did it and I am thrilled!!!
It’s an MS paint clone :)
Other than MS paint, I’ve never found an app with that special “secondary color” functionality, and farther the “replace primary color with secondary color when using the eraser” feature that works so well for sprite recoloring. This app has got it though!However, it doesn’t seem like you can add multiple images from your photos to the same canvas, which is disappointing, and the undo button is in a rather unwieldy spot.
Pretty good.
Pretty much the best image editor and drawing tool on the app store, theres just a problem since the multiple canvas update that it decides to just randomly break and crash every time i open it until i uninstall the app and reinstall it. It also happened for me when the update first came out, and it doesnt seem to matter if i have one or multiple, it just decides to happen.Really wish it would be fixed.
