How this work? I seem to be interesting of this app. Ask for my phone number that you call and check on me. One problem. Have you ever thought about deaf people who can’t hear the phone to check on us?? Will it detect where it crash at? Can they text me if I able to text back? If unable to text will they get contact the emergency to find me where it crash? Awaiting your reply. Thank you Tracey

Its a good idea

As a single person plus driving at night to get work this app really helpful if happens to me a car accidents. I hope not to have any car accident but never know when may happen. So I would like to thank you app developer I know this is a trial until March 31, 2020 after that you may charging us but it doesn’t show how much if not expensive I’ll think about.Thanks again.🙏

Great app but apparently glitches

I had the app report I was in a car accident when I was not and the app was not open on my phone and running so I got a call from the police asking where I was and if I was ok and that freak me out cause I feel like a resource was being taken away from someone who needs it more and during Covid that is not ok so please fixed but I guess I know it works now

Great feedback

When driving our mind is focused on just that, driving, hopefully. I don’t know about you but when I arrive at my destination, unless there’s something bad that happened, I don’t remember the moment to moment of the trip. How did I perform? Did I obey the rules and was I safe and courteous? How do I stack up with others?Open road tracks the moment to moment for five days and lets you know. I am proud of the rating they gave me. Here’s to driving safely for us all.

The app really works!

On my way home this morning from work a deer struck the side of my car and within 30 seconds the app called me and unfortunately I didn’t have any service when I answered and after they hung up a REAL caring person called me to make sure I was ok! I would recommend this app to anyone!

Tons of notifications, had to turn them off

Been using it a week and have received a ton of notifications. Safety scores, requests to rate, yada, yada, yada. There is no way in the app that I can find to tell it what you do and do not want to receive, so I just disabled all notifications for the app. I like the idea of the app but am absolutely not willing to put up with spam for it, sorry. Hopefully it will still work in the event of a crash with the notifications disabled. If not, I am no worse off than before I installed the app.

Feel Safer

Are used to have a car with On Star and felt very safe in the mountains. I sold my little sports car and I now have an older Chevy Suburban which suits my needs. The only bad thing was I miss the On Star Security. With open road I have that Security back. I’ve not had to use it thankfully, but I feel safe knowing someone will be notified if Something happens.Thank you Openroad!

Invaluable app with lots of potential

I’ve stress-tested many similar apps - they were either buggy, glitching or triggering false alarms and panicking my family, Open Road has proven to be a real game changer...if only I’d found this app sooner. Roughly six years ago, my partner and I were headed home after a long night working at a bar when we’d suddenly been involved in a near-fatal head-on collision with a wrong way drunk driver at speeds of ~70 MPH where I’d sustained multiple serious injuries and lost consciousness from my head striking the B-Pillar (where the seatbelt is located). My partner managed to walk away, but when I awakened, Both my legs were pinned which resulted in a mechanical extrication before being rushed to a level-1 trauma unit. I couldn’t reach my phone to dial 9-1-1, had I been alone in the car, things would have been different.

Willing to try it

Just d/l the app. Willing to try it. Only had been in 1 accident in Costa Rica when a gentleman rear-ended me but if this works the way it’s saying, then awesome. I’ll see if I can get my dad to d/l it too. But my one question is, will it know the difference btwn a car crash and if I took a crash while downhill mtn biking? I go downhilling in the summer and I do crash sometimes. Can’t always get to my phone in time but I want to make sure what will happen if I crash while bicycling downhill.

I’m glad I have it if a accident I know they are right there for me if I’m sick I just have to push a button I think everyone should have it it is just like having on star if I’m lost just push the button I like the idea they test my driving too I had a heavy foot know I know they are keeping track of my driving I’m doing a lot better and they know I’m home safe try it you can cancel anytime unless you are doing something wrong
