not an ad, but an updating news/review window.. anyway: this is THE BEST

the previous reviewer didn't understand what they were seeing there: it is simply a changing window that previously had a REVIEW ME option, and now sometimes recommends other developer apps; Oceanhouse Media gives us some of then set apps anywhere, and to call them unethical is a joke! Grow up, and keep enjoying this terrific, classic Joshua potty learning title: fun, humorous, respectful, smart, delightful, evergreen.. We love it!!

Classic story

I've been reading the printed version of this book with my son for over a year. The app is a nice adaptation of the same story. It would be nice to have more sound effects...a flushing sound, meowing for the cat, etc although my son thinks it's great to keep tapping the "poo poo" and have the little boy repeat the word. I thought the potty song was a little hokey....but it's turned out to be a big hit in our house now and we all find ourselves singing it.

Unethical developer

They say the most recent update was minor bug fixes. That's a lie, what they did was insert an ad so that when your child is using this app the first thing they are confronted with is a link to take them to the app store to buy more of their programs.I would expect something like that from a free app but when you've already paid the full price for an app you shouldn't have to click through ads, especially one designed for kids.

A longtime 'reader'

My mom told me she used to read this book to me as a kid. It's nice to see it updated for the iPad and iPhone. A couple if interesting features have been added to go along with the original story.

Grandson Didint Like It!

I Purchased this app for my 2 year old grandson that just started potty training. We used the read to us option. At first he was very interested in the story and was laughing. When we got to the part where he actually used the potty, my grandson said "that's gross" and didn't want to go any further. He was pointing at the app everytime he got on the iPad and said "no potty boy, that's gross" I ended up deleting the since it was upsetting him just to see it there. This didn't work for us. Waste of money.

I have seen better

I actually like some of the other apps better! The potty in this book DOES NOT look NOTHING like any of the kid pottys or even the real potty not even remotely close! It looks like a flower pot with a handle or something even my 2year old looked at me really confused as to why he was going in that thing. I am already having a hard time with potty training and this just made it worse!!! So glad I got it on sale for 99 cents because it was not worth it At ALL!!!! I can't not express how much of a waste this was.

Well done.

I've purchased most of the Dr Seuss apps from Oceanhouse and have been very pleased. I have a 2 year old boy and was about to buy him the Once Upon A Potty book and saw this app today. It's great for $3. The "potty song" leaves something to be desired, but the job they did on the book itself is very good.

Fantastic transfer of classic book to App

My son is potty learning and this app helps him understand the transition out of diapers and his body's parts. The artwork is beautiful yet simple and the content is fun and engaging. Even my 5 year old daughter enjoys playing with this with her little brother. We read it everyday!!

Great Book

My son loves this book, we borrowed it from the library a few weeks ago and I was so happy to find it for the iPad! He sits on his potty (28 months old) and I read it to him, he loves to answer the questions they ask about the present. After we started reading this he had to go get everyone to show them that he went in the potty!

Potty training review

The story is great but I think I was looking for Joshua’s grandma to get him an actual mini potty, not something that looks like a pitcher...seeing Joshua with an actual potty makes a world of difference....other than that the story is ok.
