Wonderful. Tutorial enclosed. Read on!
Device takes micro usb common charger. First charge device for at least an hour. Download app.Don’t open app yet. To operate:1) Slide off magnetic cap to turn on device. There are no buttons to push. *Blue flashing light means WiFi is available or connecting or connected. Not sure which. *2) go to settings on your phone. You’ll see your wifi networks update to show “MzScope etc etc”, click that. Your device will connect. No password needed. 3) Open app. Press big start button. 4) picture should appear. Point camera at your hand and slowly move in and out to focus it until you see your skin lines clearly. 5) explore buttons and preferences.6) replace lid to turn off. Reconnect to whatever internet source you were using before. Remember if there’s no picture, your device is possibly not charged, connected to the wifi, or you need to go to settings and click on apps, then MZSCOPE, then “force stop”. If this doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling. It will definitely work. Way way worth the money.
App malfunction
I bought this device about an year ago and I only used it one time. It has been in the box practically brand new and I got it out last night to use it and there is no light coming on the device only the red light when I charge it. It is not showing up on wifi and I tried everything. The cap is off. I also deleted app off my iPhone and put back on and still nothing showing up on wifi. Because of this issue I can’t even use the device.

This is the coolest thing ever. The camera connects to the app effortlessly if you follow the instructions. I would first charge the device fully before use. Then open the wifi settings on your phone and connect to the device name MZscope, then turn off privacy for the MZscope wifi connection and lastly open the app. Waiting to open the app after connecting to wifi seems to be an important step. Once the app was open I pressed the big start button in the app and it worked instantly. Great product. Not sure what the bad reviews are about because it was so easy🤷🏽♀️
Works great!
Worked fine on my iPhone XR, I read another review that said to turn off the privacy of this wifi and did that right off the back, had no issues connecting, not sure if that mattered or not. Very cool device and great quality camera. Want to use this to look in my engine bay now!
App works great
Not sure why others were having issues, but it seems as though they fixed whatever bug there was. Just download the app, open the cap, then connect to device via wifi (“MZ Endoscope”), then go back to the app and press “START.” Pretty much follow the directions and you’ll be fine.
I‘m not having any issues like the others
We were using the scope and I connected to the WiFi on the scope. I started it and it worked! I‘m not sure how the other people are having trouble, maybe they didn’t take the cap off or something. Anyways thank you for developing the App also could you make something on the app just in case people are having trouble?

I’m happy i found something i can use to now unclog my ears and be able to see helps a lot.As for the issue i heard from others about the video not showing up, mainly for Iphone since thats what i have, i troubleshooted and found the fix, and if it worked for me it should for you.When you take the cap off the device which turns it on and you select it in your WiFi settings, you have to also go into the wifi settings for that device and deselect the Private Address(it’s automatically turned on for wifi networks) and then the camera video shows up on the app because by deselecting it you freed up the security blocking the app from connecting to the device properly(ie the video function etc...)

It’s helped so much & if i hadn’t read your review I was about to just Chuck it & give up out of my frustration!!!! So I thank you again for the tip!
It worked then didn’t but it’s fixed
This works very well for cleaning out the kids ears. I can’t see like I used to do it’s been a super handy tool. I was so upset because it quit working, the visual wouldn’t show up, there was just a yellow round screen in the app. Someone else mentioned security setting but I just uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it works perfectly again!
Not working on my iPhone
I have an iPhone and iOS 14. The app installs, the blue light flashes slowly Indicating that Wi-Fi is connected, but there is no communication, or at least there is no picture coming from the device whether recording or not or whatever. I’ll wait a few days to see if the developer updates the app to be compatible with iOS 14, if that doesn’t happen I will return it for credit. Really, Bluetooth would’ve been a better technology for this.
