Excellent App works 99.9% of the time.

I love this app it’s so easy to use now I could remote start my minivan also unlock / lock open / close each sliding door and lift gate by remote cell phone app the device works on 5G network anywhere in the world, I was in the Dominican Republic and my car was in NY for a moth and I would remote start my minivan once a week , I would also open the sliding doors and lift gate for my son remotely when ever he needed to take any tools or anything out, I also installed this unit my self on my 2019 Toyota Sienna and installation was a breeze it took me 45 minutes to install it since the installation instructions were specifically for my vehicle the display of the app shows 24/7 status interior car temperature and most importantly Battery voltage..

Latest software killed all functionality

This app is great when it works. Unfortunately a software update came through that killed the functionality of the telematic device. (Feb 2021)Get a fix please!!!Update: contacted product support and they were able to resolve the software update that was pushed to the telematic device. App was not the issue but good customer service was able to resolve the issue. This is a 5 star app when everything works.

Great & easy to use

Update August 2020: Still works great. Went ahead and got the 3 year plan. Any developments on Siri support or Apples digital key? Vehicle: 2017 Jeep Wrangler with MPC Remote Start & MPC Smartphone app moduleDevice: iPhone XS Max IOS 13.2.2Had some issues with my initial installation of my MPC Smartphone app module when I tried to register it in the app. Something happened and I wasn’t able to interface with my Jeep. I could only use the GPS function to locate the Jeep however I was unable to unlock/lock the doors or start it. Turned out it wasn’t an issue with this app. The modules I had required “relearning”. I contacted MPC and they responded within 24 hrs so I could reprogram them. Once I did that everything worked flawlessly.Additional features. It would be much better if this app supported HomeKit and had a widget shortcut. Wondering if future release is in work?!

Great product

Love this product. I am always second guessing whether or not I locked my car and this gives me piece of mind. I’ve put a lot of money and hard work into my car so this is definitely a great addition. I wish this app had more functions and a cooler look to it though. As I’ve seen in other comments, it would be nice if you could add a custom photo for your car. When is the next major update being released?

Great app

As others have said, works like a charm every time when the cellular box is property installed (at least 3 inches away from any metal surface and with the proper orientation). The length of the link cable can be prohibitive of a proper install, depending on where you install the main remote install unit. I cut and extended the link wires to ensure a proper install (no issues).I really wish there was an Apple Watch compatible version as this would be very convenient. Hopefully that’s coming soon!

Works great but....

I install these regularly. I’ve installed around 15 in the past month. On DEI remote start platforms the run time is perfect on Fortin it reports the wrong run time. For instance when the remote start unit is set for 15 minutes it shows like 31 when it starts after a few to several minutes the run time corrects itself. Wonder if this an app problem? Units I installed last year worked perfect on both remote start platforms. Please advise

Very Happy...get it professionally installed.

I tried to install it myself and was about to bang my head into a wall. So what I did was I took my Fortin and MyCar device to a car stereo installer and well, works perfect ever since. I wish they would add an iOS widget and Siri Shortcuts. That would make this device perfect! I lock my keys in my car in a lot of the times on purpose and just lock it and unlock it with the app.

App works with properly installed systems

I think this app is getting a bad reputation not because of the app itself but because of the installation of the receiver in the car. The receiver has to be mounted with a certain side facing upward and away from metal objects. I installed mine myself and originally did not have it installed in the correct manner. Mine like many of the bad reviews here worked very sporadically. I thought the problem was in the app. After bad results for the first month or two I went back and redid the installation of the receiver per the instructions. I located it near the top of the dash, the correct side facing up and away from metal. This remote start system works 100% of the time now. If your system is working with limited success I can almost guarantee you receiver is installed improperly.

Poor customer service

I had this system put in a few years ago. It worked great until I was forced to purchase an “upgrade” so that I could keep using the app. I work in a building too far away from where my car is parked for a fob to work so they had me in a corner. I got the upgraded device and had the dealer where I purchased it put it in. It didn’t work long. I have tried everything they have told me to do. I even took it back to the installer and they checked everything out and said it was the app. The fob works fine. Customer service simply stops responding to you when they realize they sent you a defective product. I paid for three years to use this item. They have taken my money and are happy to ignore any issues with their product. It’s virtually useless to me at this point and winter where I live, which is why I have it in the first place. I cannot recommend this to anyone because they are only after your hard earned money and won’t back up their product. I’m guessing they control what reviews get posted about them as well since I have not seen my review anywhere

It works 95% time for me

I have been using this app for two years with “fortin” remote start module. I do have problem, but most of the time its accurate and responds to the commands. Every software or hardware do give problem sometime, so in this sense this app or hardware is not that bad. I can deal with 5% problem. I love it and i will definitely recommend it. It saves me lots of trouble, i can start, lock/unlock doors with visible confirmation and see the location of my car also can see the status of the car battery.
