My favorite

I have been through so many finance apps I could cry thinking about it. I got this one a couple of years ago, and keep coming back to it whenever I try a new angle. I should stop trying new angles. I am terrible with money, so I’ve been desperate to find anything that could help. Every other app I’ve tried had too many things for me to juggle and balance, and those options just made it harder for me to keep things straight, or keep to my limits. They’d also kill my motivation long enough to cause bad setbacks. This app is so easy to use, easy to keep up with, has plenty of options (but you don’t have to use them all to keep everything going)…I just love it! I hope it can keep being updated with the major iOS updates, or I’m not even kidding when I say I’ll probably have a bit of a mental breakdown for a few days.

Great app with superb support

I started with the Myaccount$ lite and was not sure I would like it. I was overthinking it. I had used Quicken forever and wanted something simple. I forgot to think simple as I started to use it. I almost gave up. But thanks to the developer Chris I remembered it was simple and not Quicken. That was over 3 months ago and I am still using it. I updated to Pro version and was not able to back up from lite version. I reached out to Chris and again he came thru with a fix. Thank you for making an app I don’t have to think to use and going above and beyond with customer support.

Great Application Great Support

I moved from another application to MyAccount Pro. When trying to import all of data I ran into an import error. I sent an email for help, thinking that I would not get an response, will I was total WRONG. Chris responded back within an hour, pointed out the issues and directed me to the file format document for importing. From the document I was able to write a conversation application to import my data.Great document and even better support.

Great App

Like others have mentioned, I previously had PocketMoney for 10+ years and when it changed ownership I was forced to change. After much looking and trying other apps I finally found this app and it works great! Easy layout, easy to enter reoccurring bills and/or payroll. Nice calendar view. Great customer service with owner! The only suggestions I would make is to show the reoccurring items in the current view of the account that it’s entered for so that it shows the future cast of the account in the account register rather than having to use the “build” feature in “FutureCast”. It would be nice to look at your register and see those items so you can easily see what your financial outlook is. You might be able to show them greyed out while the current and past days were in regular color. And for those who don’t want to see the future transactions, maybe you could have a toggle to turn them off in your user option section?!?Also, a help section would help 😀 I only gave (4) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ due to the missing above recommended items but if added I could easily change to a (5+) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating cuz this app has great potential! Great Job Chris, keep up the great work!

Simplicity is key

I love this app I've been using it for years. It helps me stay on track with my money goals. I truly enjoy how simple it is and user friendly. Though something I would personally like to see is and additional break down within the categories report by vendor. Or also being able to edit the existing categories instead of having to create new ones.** thank you for letting me know how to edit this makes it even better.

Love it!

I used another app (pocket money) for 10+ years. I purchased the pro version of their app to have access to everything. They changed the app 100% in an update and we couldn’t revert back to the old better version (and the app we PAID for) we had to deal with this awful update and the fact they wanted to now charge a subscription to use an app I already paid for. Ripoff! THIS APP IS MAGIC. It’s EXACTLY what I need. It’s simple and easy to use. The only suggestion I have it to put together a little help section on how some features work like saving payee info (found how to save this when I was entering a payee I use often and thought, there has to be a way to save this and there is but had to search a little for it) or what certain buttons do so I don’t have to find out by pressing it and hoping for the best. Please don’t get rid of this app. It’s perfect and has SAVED me. Thank you!!!

Exactly what I need

You’d think it would be easy to find an app to replace a pen and paper check register, but it’s not. I probably tried 10 before I stumbled on this one which gives me just what I need, no more, no less. This latest version is well worth the $3 it costs besides the fact that supporting the developer with a few bucks is just the decent thing to do. Now I want to talk about customer service. SUPERB! I hit a few bumps with the new version, emailed Chris via the App Store, and he got back to me within a couple of hours. You couldn’t ask for better.

Best of the checkbook apps

I love this app. Does things others do, just better. First off it’s not all bogged down with charts, diagrams, budgets, planning, and other junk I never use. Has a running balance. I like to have my balance next to every transaction rather than totals at the top of the page. One of the things I really like is the recurring payments page. The biggest thing it doesn’t automatically add things without you setting it. The other thing I like is you can select bills to see how your balance is affected. It uses your current balance and then you pick and choose which payments you are looking to pay. This is handy when your finances are tight and it makes it so simple to see if you have enough money to pay everything, or, you can juggle around and see which you can cover now without going over. Great feature. I like the watch app too. Doesn’t have a complication but it sits quietly in the dock and updates regularly, or quickly if you do it manually. All in all this is the best checking app around. Update: Added a Home Screen widget that shows the balance of your chosen account from the app. Updates instantly, and the widget opens to the app, that means you can move the app icon off your Home Screen into the library and free up Home Screen space. Just keeps getting better and better because the developer is so responsive.

Perfect app

I have been looking everywhere for an app that uses a roundup feature. Until now I have been manually doing the round up and figuring the amounts myself and transferring between the accounts. So far I am loving it,but still trying to get it set up. So far the only problem o am having is that when you add money if you do t click on the - or + before hitting done it will revert back to - I which there was an option for income.

Great App, Great Support

Update; I am having to leave this app due to being unable to export a backup. I emailed the developer several months ago and he made an attempt at repairing but never resolved the problem. I still believe this is a good app but I cannot live with this issue. Reducing from five stars to three.I was a Pocketmoney user until the developer destroyed it. Then purchased and tried to use several other apps that I was just not happy with. I finally found this app that is simple and easy to use. The first thing I noticed was that the developer had numerous recent updates which means he is involved. I then had a suggestion for the app and emailed the developer, Chris Wagner, with my suggestions. To my surprise he answered me within hours! He made the changes I suggested also. Since then I have emailed him few more times and always get a quick response. So, if you are looking for an easy, simple way to keep up with your finances with a developer that listens to you and wants to help you then this is it. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this app.
