Description

Musical Dictator allows you to play any piece of music instantly by dictating the notes directly into your ears! No music sheet! No music theory!

No ear training! Play any song! Play any instrument! You just need to look at your musical instrument and the notes will be sung to you! Musical Dictator makes your musical life easier by performing the following: - The note name and octave are sung - Only one note is played at a time - Note duration and rests are simplified In this way, you have a more intimate connection with your musical instrument instead of having to frequently switch your attention between music sheets and your hand placement. Moreover, this freedom from reading music notes allows you to concentrate on your finger positions as well as memorize fingering patterns. Notes are sung using solfège notes (Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti) instead of ABC notation as solfege notes help the ears to better hear pitch relationships and intervals. The app also shows the notes to be played on a keyboard for reference purposes. The app comes with 20 in-built music pieces. You may also load your own MIDI files. MIDI files are automatically converted to a format appropriate for note dictation by removing their complexity. Therefore, it is advisable to import simple MIDI files so that much music is not lost during the conversion. To enjoy a more interactive session, you may plug in your MIDI musical instrument and the app waits for you to play the correct notes. It is recommended to use headphones or earphones so that the notes sung by the app are not obscured by the sound of your musical instrument. This app may be used for both monophonic (single-note) instruments such as the saxophone, trumpet, trombone and human voice, as well as polyphonic instruments such as the piano, guitar and violin.
