User Reviews for Mech Battle - Robots War Game

Fun game, great service

Relatively new to the game, but not gaming. A few mechanics I feel could be improved such as spawning locations and better tutorial explanations. Otherwise, a lot of fun to play. That being said, total 5 stars for the awesome in-game support. While having a problem upgrading a Mech (aforementioned tutorial conflict), I reached out in global chat for help. Many of the chat community immediately replied to assist, and then within minutes Dev. Robert was on helping me out. The prompt and efficient “digital” hands-on service was fantastic. He quickly identified the issue and resolved my problem. I see a lot of comments complimenting the devs for their attention and responses to player requests and feedback, and I can attest to their excellence in this. A really great experience after playing numerous amount of games seeing players being ignored by game staff.

Good... but issues

First I have to say I like and play this all the time. It’s far better than the other Mech game that is very much pay-to-play. Even if you pay with this game you only get access to the improved mechs faster, and those aren’t overpowered. My big issues are...1. Aiming is awful. Sometimes the auto-aim works, sometimes not. There is no way to tell where you need to aim to get a lock sometimes. Then when you do lock on and loose it you can’t manually aim. The aim issue seems to be worse as of last update.2. There hasn’t been a significant update in more than a year. No new maps. No new mechs. No new weapons. Nothing.3. The communication system is garbage. People like Apexboy spam public chat constantly (reporting players spamming should be an option), direct messages get missed because of this, and the inbox always shows there are 7 mail messages (we should be label to mark them read).4. It has a reporting system for hackers and cheats, but they don’t pay attention to the reports. A couple of the problems are players constantly disconnecting and player hiding in location not intended to be ( inside walls and scenery), but no matter how often these players are reported no action is taken. A person who has 3000 disconnects should not still be playing. If these issues were fixed I’d easily rate this game as 5 stars, but as of now these easily correctable issues are really annoying.

All Atlas & Zerk hangers kind of ruins it

Edit: everyone just plays with the same Mech and it’s starting to not be about fun anymore. I still like the game and play it everyday but just one or 2 game because I can’t go a round without someone being stationary with 5 of the same mechs with the same weapon layout..it’s just idk man. If the devs see this review what do you guys think about making it to where you can’t have multiple of the same Mech? I’ve been a long time player of War Robots way before they got bought out and was very disappointed with their constant changes and pay2win gig and stopped playing since October 2017. THIS GAME!! Mech Battle!! Has won me over a million times! It gives me that nostalgia feeling but with something new and fast paced. The graphics are good and they give us the option for better performance or visuals and it doesn’t drain my battery or make it hot after long hours or play (or at least as hot as WR did during a single game). I don’t know what else to say I’ve had played this game every chance I get, the only thing I would recommend they had is a lock on and that’s bout it.

Honestly, best mobile app I’ve played

Mech Battle is by far the best Mech game I have played (compared to War Robots and Battle of Titans) and the best mobile game I’ve ever played. It’s a breath of fresh air that goes against the “spend money to win” type of system. A well balanced, fast paced game. Emphasis on fast paced, battles often times can last 5-7minutes. Maps are generally smaller, which makes the game a lot more action packed! I quit Xbox about 2 months ago, Mech Battles is the only game I play nowadays, and on weekends I’ll spend the majority of my time on it. I recommend this game to anyone who has free time and is looking for a way to spend it and is looking for a fun community. Being a gamer for decades, I have found that The Devs, unlike many other games, not just other Mech games, are very involved in the community and listen to what we say for the most part. You can’t make everyone happy, that’s just a lesson of life. They are, by far, the best Devs I have ever witnessed in a video game. Many players invested all their time into 1 or 2 overpowered weapons so as soon as they were put on an equal playing field, they started reviewing negatively against the game. My advice to any new players picking up Mech Battle, invest into a variety of weapons! Changes will be coming, that’s inevitable, the better prepared you are, the better off you’ll be! Hope to see you guys on the battlefield!

Amazing game. The issues

Well for starters (who may be thinking of downloading the game)the controls and the tutorial are very very simple and easy to learn the mechs are fitting to each rank you go through one of the only downsides is the higher rank mechs COST ALOT (not real money btw) for example I’m on rank 15 and on rank 16 you gut a lot of stuff including getting the atlas the best Mech in the game(in my opinion) it costs 5000 platinum witch is way to much and the ultimate crate isn’t that reliable. So I’ve been saving my platinum for over 2 months since rank 13 and I only have around 3000so it’s almost making you pay for platinum with real money so developers if you could lower the price of higher ranking mechs just a little (especially the ones that cost platinum) that would be great still 5 stars though

A Wonderful FPP/TPP Mech Shooter

This has been the first time that I’ve really been motivated to write a review for a game, but I think it’s necessary. This app provides a fantastic blend of quick action with strategic point-capture. In my humble opinion the AI need a slight nerf, as their aim is perfect 100% of the time. As I enjoy using light robots and running around my opponent, I find this frustrating. The only other thing I find frustrating is the unguided rockets having full aim support. Due to the fact they have a slow traverse speed, they are ineffective on moving targets. A change I would recommend to this would be vertical aim support only. However, I will say that these are a drawback to an otherwise fantastic game! I could see this app going on for years to come. My thanks to the Dev crew on keeping this thing up and running and to the ever-growing player base that has helped me understand and grow in this game!

Very Fun, Couple of Issues

(UpdateD). Overall, this is a great game. Fun. Entertaining. Great graphics. Free. You do have the opportunity to spend money to purchase goodies (new mechs, new weapons, etc.), and as a nod to the developers, I did so. I don’t mind people making an honest dollar off of their effort, and this developer deserves a payday. They are responsive and updates come rapid fire. Spawning mechanic is suckish. You can be in a heated battle with one or more opposing mechs and an AI mech will invariably spawn directly behind you, putting you and in the crossfire and scrapping your mech. This doesn’t seem to be a glitch but rather is a feature, intentionally put there by the developer, since it happens multiple times in every match. Lesson: watch your back. Early stages are fun. Matchmaking is mostly fair (level 1 players don’t take the field against level 20+), and you CAN play with no cost. Download it and enjoy blasting other players to pinwheeling chunks of debris. Spend a few bucks for goodies (in support of the developers). Just watch your back…the AIs will be spawning on your 6…constantly.

This Is The Best One

After playing multiple build your robots player vs player type games, I’ve come back to Mech Battle without any hesitation or regret. 4v4 is the right number for exciting gameplay. The platform itself runs very smoothly even with questionable data connections. The build costs, time vs reward, and game power balance are all better than the others. The build options themselves are just right; less complex and painstaking compared to games like War Robots, where the builds get so complex and expensive that “pay to win” becomes a huge factor. At the end of the day all the other mech games become arduous and unrewarding. Mech Battle is intrinsically more fun because the gameplay never fails to get your heart pumping.

Not a true competitor for War Robots (or even BoT)

Maps are smaller, less players in each match, and games end very quickly. I don’t really prefer this as it makes the winning team seem to be a coin toss. (Less time to play means matches are more unpredictable, and you have less control over the ending, due to things happening so quickly)Drop-in location seems to be random. There is 4v4 team battles (with beacons) and 8 player FFA. Cannot choose which mode(happens at random). The randomness of the drop-in locations hinders teamwork and strategy to a vast degree.Game is not equipped with any ‘lock-on’ button. So you must keep crosshairs on enemy to see their health. This is very aggravating, especially when enemies are clumped together.Currency seems to be in vast supply, but I haven’t played long enough to see if it gets worse overtime (which is usually the case). But skins for the mechs seem to be unreasonable. The one thing this game has that others don’t, is the ability to switch from 3rd person, to 1st person, to over-head view. This is very cool and gives a totally different perspective of the battle. Unfortunately, this is the only feature that other competing Mech games don’t offer.Overall, I am not impressed in any way and will be going back to War Robots. This game doesn’t have anything to truly offer me that I can’t find in a different Mech game, other than the camera angles, and that’s not enough to be a deal-maker.

kiddie war robots & 1 drawback & 1 major problem!

the best thing here is option of other camera views & has some cool graphics but everything else about this game is average. mech battle is now in the mix with battle of titans, mech wars, war robots, robot warfare, world of warfare robots, & tanks vs robots. mech wars & battle of titans are currently the 2 best mech games. i'd place this game 4th, right behind war robots (it kinda seems like a kiddie version of war robots).one drawback - all stats on weapons seems to be 100m but it's not clearly stated on what weapons ranges are. but in a match i've been hit by some weapons beyond 100m. if the range for all weapons is truly 100m then the problem would be that a lighter bot has less of a chance against a heavier bot because you can't try long range. there's less strategy in use of weapons.one major bad thing! i started playing this game about a week ago & i just updated the game. immediately i lost my whole inventory! i'm not sure if this has to do with me never signing-in but i never had a problem with this with any of the other mech games & not even with any other game for that matter. you shouldn't have to sign-in to keep your inventory, the update should recognize everything you have & just make the necessary changes to the game. this could be a deal breaker if this problem isn't fixed for future updates. so newcomers beware!
