Awesome when it’s not freezing up
This is an awesome app when it’s not freezing up, that is the only difficulty I’ve had with it lately😒BUT other than that it’s very easy to use. Lots of different ways to be reminded. You can enter many different types of medications, different times and days of the week. So user friendly! I’ve downloaded four other types of similar apps and this one beats them hands down! 😁(Minus 1 star only because it keeps freezing up)
Simple, useful, and charming
There should be more apps like this, especially for medical related tasks and tracking. It’s exactly what I need: a simple reminder and tracker for meds, that provides a harder to ignore reminder if I miss checking off a medication at the time I need to take it. It’s offers just enough customization without having so many bells and whistles that it’s overwhelming and complicated. And on top of all that, it’s weirdly charming - I’m not typically into cute apps, but the encouragement (and barking) is endearing.
What a great app should be!
This app does exactly what it says, and it does it simply, and well. I needed something to remind me to take my meds, as well as let me know later that I actually did it when the doubt set in. I don’t need an app that also tries to do 10,000 other health related functions that my other apps already overlap. While this app doesn’t work on Apple Watch, as others have said, the alerts DO come through on the watch, which is good enough to remind me. That being said, I’d love to see the developer expand the app to full functionality on the watch... at least to get the alert AND mark it taken. I do believe that would be worth paying for. Keep up the good work!
Needs DST adjustment!!
This app has been perfect and super user friendly, however it doesn’t adjust for the DST time change, so it doesn’t matter what time you enter it’s entered in the app as an hour earlier. So, if you have anything to take after 10:59 p.m. there’s no way to add that reminder because even entering it past the midnight marker doesn’t adjust it. This is based on EST. That really needs some adjusting because other than that fluke it would be a great app. So, for the entire “fall-back winter time” season I don’t have any late night reminder, which is my most important medication. Hopefully it’s back to normal come mid-March.
Cute, simple, rare single-purpose app
If you’re the kind of person who needs a reminder to take your meds, chances are you’re also the kind of person who doesn’t want or need to be bogged down by dozens of features, bells and whistles, and general junk. Max knows its job and does that job well. I do think the app is a little bit under-developed, and I hope the devs can expand on its functionality somewhat. One thing I wish you could do is mark meds as taken for previous days. I take one pill at bedtime and sometimes that ends up being past midnight, so I can’t mark it as taken for that day. It would also be nice to toggle the call reminders on and off for each medication; I want Max to give me a ring for my morning meds but not late at night. But these are small complaints— I’m overall very happy with my virtual service dog! 😊
Just what I need
I love the simplicity of this app. Just exactly what I need to take my medications, each with different daily quantities and times. It relieves me of the burden of trying to remember or the annoyance of multiple alarms on my phone. Almost even better is that I don’t have to second guess myself whether i took something or not. And marking it taken could not be simpler. The reminder call is so handy (and cute!). I am so glad I found this app. ♥️ In a world where ‘more’ seems to be better, the laser focus on its purpose is what makes it so special. Thank you for recognizing this need.

I never rate apps, but here we are. This app is ideal. The ‘call’ feature is ingenious and effective, the interface is uncomplicated, the ability to customize your avatar friend / icon ingenious, and it doesn’t ask for intrusive, private data. You can add as little or as much detail as YOU want. A nickname, not your name. A generic drug name, or just ‘morning meds’. And an easy chart to view your time stamps of taking meds. Perfect. Developer. 1. Kudos. 2. Give option to tip in app. Or at least a link.
Best, simplest, and most effective pill reminder!
I downloaded three different pill reminders, including two others with in-app purchases. The other two are far more complex and more annoying to set up. I just wanted to be reminded when it was time to take my medications! I love it that if I don’t respond to the first reminder, Max calls me on the telephone five minutes later and barks at me. (Or meows or chirps at you I presume, depending on the character you choose). Thank you Max. I’m your new fan.
Simple
I loved the simplicity of the format to add medicine. I like the theme of a dog. I could never get the notifications to work, I never got an audible alarm, accept one time when I had my AirPods in. I sent an email to the developer but did not get a response. I really wanted to like this app. I have switched to Pill Reminder. The amount of information you can provide and use is impressive. It will not only remind you to take your pills, it will remind you to reorder when you’re low. Extremely customizable, lots of options for alarms, including a baby laugh. Who doesn’t like the sound of babies laughing?
Fun and Easy to Use
This app is simple and fun. It works great for reminding you to take your meds. I set this app up for my kids and senior parents because of how easy it is to use. I take 5 different medications a day myself and absolutely love it. The call reminder is the best feature of this app. The app will call you 8 minutes after you forget to mark your medicine as taken. If you answer the call it’s just some cute barking from Max. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thanks Max! 🐶
