Useless

Placed order on Saturday, not knowing location was closed. Money immediately taken from my account. Attempted to reach out to customer service, there is none, had to leave my issue as feedback. Money eventually put back in account. Takes several days to get response from feedback. No point in having a mobile app if it does not know when a location is closed.

Amazing

I downloaded the app and got my order right away. It’s so much better then waiting in line, the coffee is amazing very fresh and great food for such good prices. By far my favorite coffee shop in NYC. Highly recommend downloading the app makes finding location much easier and it’s very simple to use.

It’s 2023 - let me use Apple Pay in app

Decided to try this place out because of the inexpensive price listed on the sign outside. 2.50 for anything? As long as you pay in app? I was sold. If you pay at the counter and order in-store, it’s 3.75. I set up the account on the app which was cumbersome to start with. Didn’t have my credit card with me because in 2023 I should be able to pay with Apple Pay. App won’t let you order and pay in app without adding a balance but you have to manually enter your credit card details. I then had to order in the store and the baristas wouldn’t honor the in app price for a first time customer. Terrible customer service. Deleting app and never coming here again.

Super buggy/mostly useless

Good coffee and great prices (cheaper when use the app), but an awful app (rating is just on the app). I repeatedly get an error message that I don’t have an internet connection when I go to select a location (despite definitely having internet). Every once in a while it will start working, and then the app gets updated and it happens again. Please fix so I can enjoy your coffee again!

Best coffee shop

I love their coffee, pretty much the best and can’t beat the value. The app needs improvements. It should allow me to save my most frequented store, as it is time consuming to mark the store each time. Overall, thank you for bringing true Italian quality coffee at prices slightly higher than a bodega drip.

Sizes and flavours no longer available

Before we could choose different coffee sizes and flavours for our coffees but now for some reason these are not available. Now you don't know what size your coffee is gonna be and can't add extra espresso shot either. Please, fix this

Unable to add card or request customer help

Tried for over 30 min to add different cards with no success. Tried to use the form in the app to tell them I couldn’t add a card and the form didn’t even work. I downloaded and redownloaded twice and logged out and logged in several times and it still hasn’t work. Extremely frustrating

Sizes being removed are a let down.

I was fine with the $0.50 price hike for the new year. What happened recently in the past month or so was that I noticed on my normal order of a Large Cappuccino, the size option wasnt available anymore. Tried in some other drinks and it looks like some still have the option. Just kinda let down by this as I really just needed the 1 large for the day caffeine wise. App works great for everything else, just wish they would mention all of the price / item changes to the menu in the updates.

Great app, needs updates

I’ve made Matto my go-to cafe thanks to its affordability. However, the app definitely needs some upgrades, like favoriting your main cafe so you don’t have to scroll to find yours before every order, ordering your drink to go or for the cafe (I find it awkward getting my drink from the pick up window only to sit inside), paying with Apple Pay, and greater rewards options. Maybe even a referral? I’ll continue being a Matto customer even without the app upgrades, but it would be nice too.

The customer service feature in app doesn’t work

So I’m writing it here. “ Hello. I emailed in may and never heard back. I have a credit hanging in my account. I moved from NY and there’s no way for me to shop with this app any more :( Could I get reimbursement of the credit back to my card? Thank you.”
