My favorite

Have been using this app for about 5 years and like it best for ease of use and reliability. I use it mostly for shopping lists for stores. You can export lists to a new phone which is really handy. Thanks!

Hopeful and pretty well designed.

Ability to import lists and organize them is well done. I don't need or use the detail part of each item, but I suppose it would be nice for some people. I do wish that things that were checked off would drop to the bottom of the list, leaving you with just things that need to be completed. The menus are not wholly intuitive, but not outrageously complicated either.

Great database list!

Simple but has everything you will need! Easy to use. After MANY years of use it has never crashed or lost a single bit of data.

Takes some practice

I scoured the App Store looking for a nested checklist & found this 1. I really like it but it takes a little time to get used to. I kept forgetting how to add subtasks which, of course, took me longer to make my list. However, I did refer it to an associate of mine. Keep up the good work. 😀

Almost perfect - needs iCloud sync

Does just what's needed, without a lot of extra stuff that just gets in the way. But it has the extras that matter: ability to embed lists within other lists, set due date and priority, customize sorting and badge count. It lacks only one feature to earn 5 stars: it needs to sync between iPhone and iPad.Customer service is excellent--you always get an email response quickly. But I urge the developer to please consider adding iCloud syncing. I know you have concerns about stability, but lots of other apps are managing it.

The best List app available.

This is by far my favorite app. I'm obsessed with lists and this app helps me keep them all organized and updated. I've tried dozens of list apps but this one is by far the best. Without it, I would be lost.

Almost perfect

This app is almost perfect. I like its list-within-lists ability, interface, and customizable icons.I would like the ability to sort lists inside of lists at the top, before the items in that list.I would really, really like the ability to sync lists across all my devices wirelessly. Zenbe Lists does this and is nearly identical in every other way except nested lists.Also, iPad optimized version.Add those two things and this app is 5 stars instead of 4. Job well done.Updating my review: giving it five stars now because of how much I use it and how long I’ve used it. This app has gotten opened at least monthly for many years. Would still be nice if it synced (sank?) across devices. Thanks again to the developer!

One step short of perfect

Time and again I get lured off to another list program by the promise of cloud synchronization, a feature I find myself wanting or needing more every day. Enough to buy another app, go through the pain of moving over hundreds of items, and the learning curve of getting used to another list program, which is particularly hard since I live in my list every day, all day.But I keep finding myself back with List! for one reason or another. The biggest reasons are that List! never crashes on me, while other list programs which shall remain nameless not only crash but tend to lose all the changes I've made for a while before; and that other list programs always seem to be lacking some basic feature like copying/moving from list to list, or dragging items into order.Sure, they also sometimes have nice things like additional or customized fields, line coloring, subtotals and totals, item icons, media support, etc. and I certainly would use those things if I had them. But I don't need them to get by. The cloud synchronization option is the only thing I need that List! doesn't have.That lure will keep drawing me away, I'm sure. So I just hope that Secret Society gets that sync ability before any of the other list apps get reliability and a full suite of basic features. Here's hoping!

Wow!

Amazing! Took a bit of time initially to understand how things work, but it was a great investment! The app is actually simple to use when you see how it works. I like how app saves your place (when closed and reopened it goes right back to where you were), imports and exports text, has robust reminder options, capitalization options (nice!), option for expanding rows, search feature, etc. It was very reasonably priced and has a nice, noticeable icon. So glad I found this app! Thank you!

Liked it well enough, until...

Have used this for some time on my iPad and found it useful. But when my old iPad’s battery and available space revealed its age, I bought a new iPad. That’s when the problems with List! became apparent.Turns out there are a couple of serious flaws in import/export, largely because it uses email as the only transfer facility. UNSECURED email, it doesn’t encrypt so you won’t want to use it if you keep sensitive information in a list. And even when my information WASN’T sensitive, attempts to send in importable form failed. At this point I’m looking into using a backup utility to transfer the program’s data file via a PC. Major fail. If that doesn’t work, I’ll be looking for another utility and re-entering it all manually.
