Great app

Althought it's in the first phase, it's a great idea. I'm using the paper version as well as this app on my iPad and loving it. Developers very responsive to questions and suggestions. Their attitude shows a real interest in not only this program but in your being able to use it to improve your planning with a real gospel focus.

Great app!

Overall this is a great app, but I do have a suggestion. I already subscribe to the physical copy of the journal and was curious if a discount could be offered for each subscription level from monthly to the lifetime purchase. Also, it would be neat if you could snap a document photo in the app from the physical pages in order to keep a digital record of the physical copy. For the ability to store something long term like this in an app directly connected to my physical journal, I’d go ahead and snag the lifetime membership. However, lifetime is a bit out of my price range at the moment. Possibly the ability to pay a monthly installment plan on the LifeJournal website towards the lifetime option would be great. Looking forward to using this app more than just today. Keep up the good work!

Needs work

It’s really just a simple to do list at this point. There’s no option to set push reminders on tasks. The notes section doesn’t have any options for text formatting such as something simple like bullet points, bold, underline, etc. Part of the appeal of a digital planner is that I don’t have to go out of my way to look at what’s next on the list. I would love for it to send reminders. Not a fan of the layout. Wish I could add more details to the tasks. Hopefully they add some of these basic features soon or else I can’t see this working for me.

Incredible for my Quiet Time!

Wow! I’m loving using LifeJournal for my quiet time and morning routine with the Lord. The app is very clean and easy to use and the team has already been releasing updates almost every week! They really want this to be a community driven app with us helping provide the features we want :) I currently use it for my journaling, thankfulness, prayer lists, Bible study and sermon notes. It really is great to see a Christian app so well designed and a team that really cares to make the best Christian app possible. Highly recommend!!!

Great Digital Journal

These folks have a great product here! Looking over this app they are really making what they desire to create as good habits and focus into this app. They have expressed only wanting to make it better and right out of the gates they have delivered a great product! Appreciate the thought and work involved.

Simple app for the Christian Life

This is clearly a work of love, an app looking to integrate the activities every Christian should be practicing into their daily routine. They are also very active in taking community feedback into account. The routine tracker is built around Christian activities and works very well on that account. The to-do functionality is a bit simple for my personal tastes, but may be just what some others are looking for.

Good start but...

This is a neat concept and glad that you are getting out there. The thing is your pricing. You need to look at your competition and find a sweet spot. People are financially exhausted with subscriptions, so pricing is important. For me, I am invested in DayOne for many reasons. One in particular is that I can get a book printed. Also, the price is small. Again, do some market research and see where it takes you. Good luck!

The App I Have Needed & Wanted For A Long Time

I have been using this app on my iPhone and iPad Pro for about a week and I have finally found the app I have needed for a long time. I wanted an app that was an all-in-one solution for tasks, journal, prayer, etc. Others have tried and failed but this one succeeds. They have already released updates to make the app better and I cannot wait to see what else they bring to the app!

Seems to be a well developed app

I’ve been using it a bit here and there, but I do have one suggestion. I switch between my iPhone and iPad regularly (don’t always carry my iPad everywhere). It would be nice if there was sync between devices through iCloud account. If I write up sermon notes on my iPad and want to recall something on my iPhone. Or if I quickly jot down a prayer request while out and about, and then want to see that on my iPad later during my study time.

Reminders?

Great app! I think a couple of minor improvements would take it to the next level. One of those would be reminders. Is there a possibility to be able to set reminders and create date-specific events? (i.e. an integrated Calendar). Another suggestion is to add the Bible app button that is also in the Bible Study section to the sermon notes section.

Description

Clarify and focus who you are created and called to be using LifeJournal. LifeJournal is a beautifully designed Christian journal and planner app to help you organize your day, accomplish your goals, and grow in your faith. Our prayer for the LifeJournal (Gospel focused) community is that God would use this tool to bring direction and order to what is very often a chaotic and scattered day.

We are unapologetic in our belief that goal setting and productivity are not separate from or at odds with spiritual disciplines. Instead, they work hand-in-hand, and the LifeJournal app is a catalyst to facilitate that. Our faith and our good works should live in the same space. LifeJournal is built to be a place to go to for your quiet time, bible study, thankfulness, sermon notes, prayer, journaling and use throughout your day for simple to-do lists, and tracking your daily routines. The thankfulness area is just a quick place to start each day recognizing how God has blessed you or what you are grateful for that day. - Colossians 3:15 Journaling is something we all know we should do, and often just don’t find the time to include it in our quiet time or morning routine. LifeJournal makes journaling simple and provides resources to help you find easy ways to effectively journal. The daily routines are broken into morning, daily, and evening - giving you a chance to organize your day into sections and see progress through out each and every day. With LifeJournal you are also able to use the audio to text dictation feature and journal or create prayer journals by speaking into the app - this can even be done (safely) while driving down the road when there just isn’t time in the morning to sit down and journal your thoughts. The prayer section gives you the option for a long form prayer (prayer journal) or a quick prayer list to go through each day. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 The sermon notes section gives you a specific place to keep notes on sermons or podcasts so you can go back and reflect on them later. Taking notes while listening has been shown to increase retention of new themes, lessons or concepts taught. The LifeJournal Bible Study section allows you to select a chapter and verse to study, and then take notes while quickly flipping back and forth between LifeJournal and one of the most popular Bible apps. Our Free 7-Day Trial Gives You Full Access to LifeJournal: • Create a habit of thankfulness • Keep a consistent journal • Write out a prayer journal and track prayer lists • Take sermon notes • Simplify your to-do lists What do people use LifeJournal for? • Journaling • Prayer Journal • Prayer Lists • Bible Study • Sermon or Podcast Notes • Thankfulness • To-Do Lists • Daily Routines and Habits LifeJournal Subscription Pricing and Terms: LifeJournal offers auto-renewing subscription or a one-time “Lifetime” purchase of the app: LifeJournal Annual: $59.99 per year (after 7-day free trial) LifeJournal Monthly: $7.99 per month (after 7-day free trial) LifeJournal Lifetime: $299 (one-time purchase) These prices are for US customers.
