Good, but needs improvements

So far I’m having fun playing this game. I enjoy how the levels are laid out, however repetitive they are. I enjoy being able to select a different class if I want to. I love being able to explore inbetween chapters. Most importantly I love the absolute freedom you get. The game is by no means perfect though. One thing I think the game needs is a faster movement speed for the players. Maybe even a run button would work aswell. Another thing is that the story chapters can drag on for a while, so maybe making them not so boring or drag on for so long could help. But the biggest issue is the multiplayer restriction. You need to be 18+ in order to even access the online functionality. Most other games require lower ages than this game. Some games would make sense to have the online for 18+, but here it just doesn’t make sense. This is a lego game, known to be super family friendly, so why then is the online restriction for 18+? I doubt many adults will be playing this, so it just means that a lot of people can’t go online. I think a more fair number would be 13\14+ cause children would understand it then. If this issue was fixed, it would mean more people able to play online. PLEASE fix this problem, it doesn’t need to be 18+ for the online features.

Needs a lot of work.

Constantly crashes & freezes. I get usual errors saying someone else is using my Game Center account or that I’m not connected to the internet. You have to wait days even weeks just for a new rotation of clothes that you haven’t already bought. Which makes the game boring and repetitive. The pilot controls are trash. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve crashed into things because the joystick auto corrects to the center. The insignificant story can get done in a matter of hours. There’s a long delay when trying to run &/or evade after combat. Then there’s a certain time in the day where the entire event disappears. If you do your missions ASAP you won’t get rewarded with event XP. Offline mode is burden since you can’t race & all you can do is the same repetitive & boring maps. Compared to the other Lego Star Wars games, this one is the least worst. This game feel’s unfinished & lacks in longevity. I’m only a month deep into this game & it’s already burnt out. The relevant events are the only thing keeping this game alive.

Super fun but…

I love this game. I play it everyday and it is a great piece of work. Though it has its issues. The customization is good but wish i saw a little more diversity in pieces to buy but im sure that will come out more later on. One big thing is the hit detection and bounce back. The vehicle missions have terrible hit detection. Sometimes there is no way for me to hit anything but i somehow hit a wall or rock and die. Other times if i come close to one it says i hit it and bounces me across the screen and causes me to do. Its terrible. Same for the regular missions. If i die they spawn me right where i died with no spawn shield what so ever. So i span and have 1/3 of my health right off the bat from enemies. And another time i died and it brought me all the way back to the start in a public room. Its a great game just again has a couple fixes it needs with the hit detection and respawns. As well as how slow i run.

Leveling

Flight simulator could use fewer obstacles. It's already super AI; the player doesn't need to move L / R sticks much and just needs to hold R2 down (PS 4 controller). The crashes into asteroids are because there is no where to go. The biggest issue with this game is the PvP against other players. I'm wondering if this game is cross-platform in PvP because it doesn't match me well at all. I have a terrible experience in every PvP with other players due to my lower level or lag on the server. It's a good thing this game is "free". I'm also a little confused over why the blue bits max out for most of the game. It feels like for over 90% of the games, I receive blue bits, BUT, I'm "max'd out" and so at the end of each game I don't get them. The game controlling the blue bits and determining how many you can possess in total is bizarre and "disheartening" from a game perspective. It's like saying "really?" every time I finish a game and get told sorry, you're at max blue bits so you get uh, no blue bits at all until you've leveled up more. Hey RST! Can I have the 500 blue bit bonus even though the game says I already have 6K?

This game has no controls on random multiplayer.

In the Star Wars Castaways game on Arcade / Mac there is a problem with the Imperial battleground where even my max level game (Lvl 15 support) cannot fight. I lost 30 -minutes- due to another player that was overpowering everyone. Each time I accessed the game I got thrown out or was unable to play against anyone. I've uploaded a screenshot of the players involved. This game was enjoyable until tonight. Gameloft or Disney need to either pull this game or remove hostile users. In another incident about a week ago. a player was repeatedly allowed to invite random players and then leave AFK the game. Nothing in the game stopped them from abusing it. You need to put controls on this game where it is RANDOM MULTIPLAYER. This is a basic and expected necessity in 2023. I should not have to send a screenshot each and every time. Why doesn't this game have a Player ID and Data Center listed for it? Mac isn't iOS, but MacOS isn't an option in the dropdown menu. Random matchmaking is a risky business for all video games. Game loft knows better. Apple Arcade might be silent for now, but it’s a big problem if your game supports hostile AFK activities by not allowing users to report or block hostile players. I don’t recommend this game for kids on Arcade at this time. Get them a console that sends user activity to a bigger network that will attempt to stop hostile “players.”

The game is great!

I HIGHLY enjoy this game with all my heart! I am a die hard Star Wars fan through and through and have completely enjoyed this game! With that said my only gripe would be that it gets very monotonous to play the SAME levels Over and over and over and OVER!! It makes it hard to play for longer than an hour or two. I absolutely LOVE the vehicle Holosim but am DYING for a new level or two! I appreciate all your hard work that went into this game and I love it so much. Just a little more variety would be fantastic! Also I would like to take a second to say how AMAZING it would be if you also made a game like this that was Ghostbusters! We really REALLY need a LEGO Ghostbusters game!! Ok that is all! Thank you!!Update: Recently when I get into the game I get a notice that I need to log into my Game Center, however I’m already signed in and then it tells me that it cannot connect to the Hub!! My online stuff is messsed up and it’s not on my end because everything works in all my other games! 3 stars until it’s fixed!

Money glitch gets worse, makes game completely unbalanced

Hi dev team, I’ve been playing this game since launch, and I’ve noticed a consistent downward trend in the currency I can earn from replaying the observatory holosims, making me and I’m sure many others want to quit playing. To earn rewards and complete quests, players have to play the same levels over and over, and so it becomes very noticeable and frustrating when a holosim can earn up to 1.6K bits, and then after this new update, only about 800 bits. I am breaking every object, defeating every enemy, even the respawning ones, and choosing the highest corruption level every time, so I KNOW this massive decrease is real. This makes the game a lot less fun because the high prices of items begin to feel unreachable especially when we are used to almost double the bits per holosim. It is also frustrating because in these levels, many times an enemy, corrupted enemy, or object will actually not drop money at all, where PRIOR to this update they would. They may even appear to drop bits, but then vanish as soon as they touch the ground of the level, resulting in a completed 3 tier holosim earning 4-8 HUNDRED databits less than previously. This change may not be intentional, and I’m sure the disappearing bits are a glitch, but it is unplayable and we need this to be fixed to continue working to earn rewards and therefore playing at all.

I love Lego games

I have always loved Lego games. They make great jokes in the middle which always seem to relate to the movie in some fantastic way. This game is great for the most part. I like that you encourage multiplayer, have different kinds of missions, and even a story line campaign and weekly/daily quests (tasks). However, racing other players is very challenging and it appears often on those tasks. Players don’t seem to want to race whenever I log in (as is my experience) and therefore I am forced to not complete my daily/weekly tasks because I can’t get people to join. It would be great if there was a way to skip the challenge (more so with monthly), possibly like how you can flip the daily? Or a way to invite people to race. Or both even. Also, I had to look into how to do the brick collection challenge (web search). Even though it appears obvious, the first time I played this game it was not clear. (The color and shape shown on task, which is obvious in retrospect) Great game, all in all. 😁

Amazing Game!

I don’t usually write many reviews, but this game just needs one. A lot of the other reviews are just people saying their phones is too hot. I play this on an iPad Air 4th Generation (my phone can’t support it, so I understand those peoples’ frustration) but this game is fluid. I’ve rarely had it crash, and I’m already done with the quests, but I kind of want more. You should do something like with Sneaky Sasquatch, where after you complete the quest, it moves you onto another problem (an example would be that the holosims are acting weird and you need to figure out what the problem is), this would be an amazing addition to the game, and I can’t wait to see what else you guys do with this game. Keep up the hard work!

Really cute, solid game with some very odd design choices

I’ve been playing this daily since it came out and I really like a lot about it. There’s stuff to do around the main island, and both the flight instances and the fighting instances are fun (the latter much more so than the former). The game has four classes, and I have now unlocked all of them. This is where things get odd… three out of the four are ranged and one melee class. Two of the ranged classes get tossable aoe debuffs/attack that harm EVERYONE inside the effect radius. What?? I favor the force adept melee class and if I end up in a group with an agent or trooper class person that uses a skill like that half the difficulty is running a gauntlet around their attacks. I don’t mind the idea of friendly fire in principle, especially since dying carries next to no penalty in this game, but why is this an issue that with vast predominance only affects one class? To make matters worse the trooper class is what you start out as, so people brand new to the game really don’t know better and cast their grenades without an effort to avoid other players…At the VERY least make it fair and let me force push people that keep grenading me off ledges! (jk…. sort of…)
