For those of you who want Eritrean Tigryina, this is not it. This is Tigray Tigryina! The description is very misleading! If you are an Eritrean kid, ask your parents to help you download the right own with Eritrean Tigryina! The Eritrean words and pronunciations don’t match at all. For example the app states for the word now it is, “ሕዚ” this is wrong. It it supposed to be “ሕጂ” So for parents and children please make sure to look over the apps your are downloading for this exact reason. 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
This app helped me a lot in learning tigrinya for my trip to Ethiopia.
Tigrinya, also spelt Tigrigna, is spoken in Ethiopia as an official working language and in Eritrea as the national language. There is also a large Tigrinya speaking population in Israel, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and other countries. It is closely related to Amharic, spoken in Ethiopia, and Tigre, spoken in Eritrea, and is distantly related to other Semitic languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.
