Great app to easily learn the basic symbols. The app has you learn sections of the alphabet one section at a time. Each section lets you hear the proper pronunciation for each sylabol, and is structured for easy learning. This is the best app I found to learn to recognize/memorize the language symbols.
For a free app it is stellar: clean UI, well made, and functional. Works well as a learning tool and a reference for both Japanese syllabaries. The one thing that would make this app BETTER is a section (or two) with the Roman characters (roomaji) removed where hiragana can be directly compared to katakana. For example: display ć instead of 'a' and the answer would be ć¢. And vice versa. This would allow users to move beyond connecting the Japanese syllabic symbols to Roman lettering and instead begin connecting them to the actual syllables or sounds.
this is great for beginners but the hiragana and katakana in books like genki or other textbooks varies greatly from hand written to brush stroke and the font this app uses is the easiest to read which lead to many headaches when i realized tiny less clear and more practical fonts werent availible on this app. hopefully you can add a settings button with sliders for basic clear sans serif, serif and more complicated brush and hand written fonts and a randomize feature so that we can review on hard mode to test our actual knowledge. also a minor critique but id love if there was a way to review all the hiragana and katakana with all forms not just the base forms.
Clean and well made app handy for when you just can't remember what he is in katakana!!!!
Well designed learning tool, easy to use. Through drills, repetition, & tests, helps me learn quickly.
This app makes learning Kana so enjoyable. good UI, clean colours, clear pronunciation, and the repetition is the best idea in this app. It also reduce the random learning rate by testing before moving on to other characters set.Good job Developeršš»Thanks alot.š
Very, very good. It helps quite well.
I really enjoy testing myself on my way to reading the Japanese alphabet. I also enjoy watching Japanese anime and noticing the hiragana and katakana alphabet. Hunter X Hunter, That time I got reincarnated as a slime and By the Grace of God. I ām sure there are others, but these are the only anime Iāve found that donāt go to fast for me to read. After I watch one anime I go back to the āappā and test myself again. For just starting this is a good app to learn the Japanese alphabet and later you will notice you are learning whole words. Also the anime I mentioned are good to learn Kanji.
The best app so far Iāve downloaded to learn Lana in general (hiragana & Katakana) 10/10
Great app! Makes the repetition more enjoyable especially with katakana.āŗļø
