It looks good, but calculations are wrong!

I purchased this app to have a handy astrology app on my phone. I was excited to see that they support Secondary progressions and Solar Arcs, among other things like transits and synastry. The feature list is long, graphic are okay. The problem is it is useless when most of the calculations are wrong:The natal chart calculations are good, including the Ascendant and Desc axis. However, when you calculate Secondary progressions (with the same info as the birth chart, which current date , time being the same as birth time) the calculations are horribly wrong. The Ascendant moves more than 3 signs in 30 years? No method of progression (Naibod in RA, SA in Long ect) does this. When asked about this, the developer took almost 5 days to get back and their explanation was that 'it works, just use the same info as the natal chart', which is what I did.All in all, if you are just looking for a basic app which calculated natal charts accurately, this might be your kinda app. However, if you are into advanced astrology, this WON't help you.P.S: Note to developer: It is spelled as 'Ayanamsa', not 'ANAYAMSA' as the app says. Ayanamsa is a sanskrit word meaning 'The arc that describes the increasing gap between the tropical and sidereal zodiacs'Thank you!

new update data entry is tricky

The new update looks AMAZING but it crashes when i try to enter data - am i doing something wrong??UPDATE : i deleted and reinstalled and now it seems to be working...

Kairon is now basically useless

I used to LOVE this app. My last review was three stars only because they never updated it. Well, now they've overhauled everything. I lost all my saved charts because I have my apps set to automatically download. On top of that, it's SUPER glitchy. I've seen aspects that should say approaching listed as separating, unclickable links because they're mapped wrong (idk how to say this technically, but one link's space will overlap another link and you can't click the one you need because of said overlap), every time you click between the chart and aspects the orbs reset to a very high degree, the planets and points are listed in a weird order on the aspects chart, etc. I could go on and on about how disappointed I am in this because I seriously use to use this app and only this app. Now I have to find another one because this is the opposite of user-friendly.

Nice start!!!

Best astrology app I own. Better than "Centaur Astrology" which does not do biwheels or progressed charts. Beter than "Astrologo" and "iphemeris". At first I did not know how to change the settings, but an incredible costumer support team was quick to respond. Settings are to be changed from outside the app in the global settings in the iPhone. Keep up the good work!!!

Very handy app

It took a little getting used to, but it does everything that is advertised accurately. The latest update fixed the only problem I had with the program. For the features, the price seems reasonable. Five stars from me.

Kairon

This is an excellent astrology program for experienced astrologers. As the author states in the description of the program, it will not teach you astrology and has no interpretive text, hence the category is lifestyle, instead of entertainment. I would like to see an expanded version for the ipad showing the degrees of the signs in the charts, which could be accomodated by the ipad's larger screen, but again, I believe this is an excellent program for it's intended audience, and I thank the author for bringing this app to the iphone/ipod touch/ipad community.

Brilliant, real astrology software

This is the only software on the iPhone that draws authentic charts for astrological purposes. All the other so-called astrology software is either sun0sign astrology or ephemerides and orreries with a few extra features. This one is the real thing - astrologers, this is will draw proper charts for any location, with the ability to progress, return and show transits, even firdaria, plus it draws double-ring wheels - and this is only version 1! Can you imagine what follows? Kairon is actually a Mac astrology program and users of that will know the programmer knows his stuff down to traditional rulerships, so this will probably become a powerful tool. The Mac version is unconventional in its design, making features hard to find and use, and this appears to be a problem with the iPhone version as well which is why it only gets 4 stars. So: brilliant features, software design needs work to make accessible and intuitive, but if you're any ways serious about astrology this is a absolutely must must must buy.

An excellent program, well worth its price. Every serious student of astrology should have it on her/his iphone/ipad. Especially all the options, the ability to choose different methods quickly and the simple beauty of the design are to be mentioned as advantages of this app

Powerful

This is the most powerful chart generating app available through the app store. It is capable of producing star charts for virtually any time in virtually any location. This app is best for those with general to advanced knowledge of astrology, and is also a great tool for the novice who has reference materials at his or her disposal. Nothing better available (not that anything better could be!). If you're looking for an astrology app, this should be your first pick.

Fast and helpful customer support

5 stars for that! Kairon is not without a few imperfections; it is challenging to find some locales in the atlas. I found that after tweaking Kairon the way I wanted in Settings, it didn't take effect until after a hard reboot. It will take awhile to master it. But nothing else comes close to what Kairon does on mobile devices.

Kairon will not do any interpretations for you, nor will it teach you astrology. ************************************************ Kairon can be very individually configured, or it can be used with the standard settings as is. All settings take immediate effect and are no longer outside of the app like in previous versions. ************************************************ Features: Self updating atlas, that will go with every update of the iOS itself. 26 house systems 29 Anayamsas 23 Aspects plus parallel Kairon contains the Ephemeris data for - Sun - Moon - Mercury - Venus - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn - Uranus - Neptune - Pluto - true and mean Nodes.

Additionally you have the following Asteroids and Objects built in: - True and Mean Lilith - Chiron - Pholus - Nessus - Lilith (Asteroid) - Ceres - Pallas - Juno - Vesta - Isis - Quaoar - Sedna - Vulcan - Part of Fortune - Part of Spirit - Vertex - and more, including Eris, Witte's planets and many asteroids... You can cast your charts from the years 1200 - 2399 for all the above objects.
