Good app if you know what your doing!!!

I have been in advanced Jyotish -vedic sidereal astrology school since 2012 studying and Ayurveda. This APP can be tricky IF the calculations are set incorrectly or if TIME ZONE IF wrong and a "beginner" isn't going to know this most likely or see the inaccuracy! i know how to make the proper adjustments & Immediately, I am able to tell when a chart is incorrect by talking to a client! -- not everyone -especially beginners- or non-educated people use this app will not understand = the consequences are that they charts will be incorrect and they won't realize it! or they don't know how to adjust it! must must have a time of birth or the entire charts & Varga charts will be INCORRECT! if people don't know how to read Chandra lugna - a moon chart or a Sun chart - well then that creates a problem too - is what it is - sometimes there is a small variation in accuracy -i then use my expensive Jyotish software to compare (small variations in the DEGREES can throw off the Nakshatras & padas too) beginners 'should not' rely on this app - that's my professional opinion

Amazing app

The best Jyotish app on the store. Lots of functionality and with the recent backups update you won't lose any of your charts. Tropical and Sidereal capability. This is a great little app for Jyotish on the go! One thing I would recommend is an automated time zone input. It's a little bit hassle to go into another app or to the internet to check whether daylight savings time was on or off in the months where it varies, but that's my only complaint. Wonderful program

Amazing with Room for Improvement

I think one of the best parts of this app is the simplicity. My only recommendations are in the event information tabs to include english meaning like navami tithi being the 9th day of the moons half-cycle. I constantly have to google non-english terms. The other option would be to introduce colors! It would be great if I could change the color scheme of the app like lime green and pink, or maroon and black theme. Apple is accepting that consumers love the dark easy-on-the-eyes themes and I hope this app follows soon.

Was great when it worked

I agree with all the reviewer's move had issues with the app crashing after opening. I love the app when I was able to use it, but now it no longer opens without closing immediately. I lost all my data. Did everything I could to restore the program but nothing seems to work. I'd be happy to invest something for these guys to fix it, but peers the programmers of lost interest

Would Be Better with FAQs

I’m just starting to study Vedic astrology after years of using Western astrology. While this app has many fantastic features (ephemeris, multiple options for houses, dasas, etc) and I’m very glad I bought it, I’m confused about some things: 1. Why are planets displayed in one house but listed in a different house on the Planet page? How am I supposed to understand that? Where is the planet? Where it’s shown or where it’s listed? 2. Navamsa and other charts show multiple houses with several Roman numerals, indicating houses (?)—but no sign info. What?!!!! Which house is which? Why does one “square” get three Roman numerals? Huh? What are the SIGNS? Three Roman numerals and one little Arabic numeral is extremely confusing. 3. No Ascendant info is listed anywhere. 4. No FAQs to help me understand anything as a newbie. I’m going to other sources and books for help, but can find no explanation anywhere for what the multiple Roman numerals per chart squares mean—so I can’t understand what sign anything is in on any chart except D1.5. Different ascendants given in other apps—even using the same house system, etc. Why?

Dashas are wrong

Originally, I loved this app but over the past approximately two years I've noticed that it gets the Vimshottari dashas wrong. They're off by a good bit. the maha dashas are more or less correct but the antar dashas tend to be inaccurate. So this app is useful for most of the other metrics but wrong for dashas, so it's utility is greatly diminished. As most readers know, dashas are the key piece of jyotish that greatly increases the accuracy of jyotish versus other types of astrological systems. Please fix it! I bought this app when it first came out and helped them to fix various portions. And it was free. But now I don't use it very much.

Wonderful App!

I live this app so much, just wish there were an iMac desktop version. I also have Parashara's light, but in many ways I prefer this one even at such an inexpensive price. It is easy to navigate visually, very accessible. Although it doesn't include interpretations, I prefer that so that I can focus on honing my skills and using my own sources for interpretation. Best of all, this is the most affordable software to be able to calculate Sidereal Nakshatras with a Tropical Zodiac, which Parashara's light does not allow. So if you're someone who also follows that camp or has read Ernst Willhelm or Vic Dicara's work and want to explore those calculations, this is a great app to get started! There had been one instance where the ascendant was off which I realized after comparing to Parashara's Light and other softwares. This was only one out of many charts and what I realized was that the birthday was on the first day of Daylight Savings Time. Considering the affordability of the software, I don't mind that it missed that small 1-hour mistake. I simply adjusted the time zone settings and all worked perfectly.

Near Perfect, VERY Worth it

I was looking for an easier way to check my Dashas on my phone and bought this app on impulse, but I promise you it’s extremely worth it. Every page is pretty minimalist aesthetic, so any screenshots I take are easily readable. Functionality is maybe 8/10. I wish there were more Ayanamsas to choose from, and also a Dark Theme toggle.

Incredible

Why does this app have a 2 star rating? Not only is this the BEST Vedic astrology app on the App Store, this is one of the best pieces of Vedic astrology software, period.Vedic Astrology software tends to really lag behind, it's not mainstream enough. But this a fairly advanced, clean and smooth application. Sure, there are better programs out there... But few (if any) applications of a higher quality than this if you want to shell out less than $300. A lot of people seem to be experiencing glitches, I haven't experienced them yet but even if I did I can't imagine that dropping my review down any lower than 4 stars.Tell me... Where else can you calculate D10, D11, D24 charts for 10$?It even comes preloaded with the charts of a handful of celebrities!

Bug crash

I love this app! Easy to use and so much more than I know how to use but it's not intimidating. However, there is one annoying bug crash. It happens when I select my chart, then go down to click the shadbala button. It closed the app then returns to "Here & Now" chart... it happens with my chart the most. I have had to do it over and over but does the same thing. But..... if you first click on any other button from the bottom menu then I can click shadbala and it will work... other than that irritant, it's really a great app I'm glad I purchased it.
