Thrilled IMAILG is back in on track!

I find IMAILG is my favorite email app. I especially like that you can search for a specific mail; search for all instances of that mail; then Select All and easily file them. Over the the past year the app hasn’t worked well consistently. I wasn’t able to access developer support to address the problem. Well … recently the developer has been very responsive ~~ the app works beautifully. Yay!

Best gmail app

I was using the iPhone mail feature to receive my emails but I noticed it didn't have features like instant push and the appearance was just dull. I decided to look for a gmail app and found this one. Overall it's a great app and the push feature is really fast!!! I like the choices of ringtone alerts and whenever you receive a new email it notifies just like receiving a text message and you can set a time to disable push alerts around your schedule. No one likes the midnight or 4 am emails. It is $1.99 for a year of push or $3.99 through 2011. It would have gave it a perfect 5 stars BUT you have to pay $1.99 to use the zoom and pinch ability which should be free and the icon is kind of ugly. I hope they change it to maybe an envelop with a "G" in it. Bottom line i spent a total of $4.00 to get the BEST GMAIL APP and i replaced my old email icon with this one. I hope this review helps you out.

Immediate Push.

I had a job where receiving emails as quick as possible was essential. I picked up my shifts through a google group my job set up for us to cover each other's absences. This system worked great, but only if you got those emails first. 80 sets of anxious fingers were waiting with baited breath for a chance to tap reply and, even though I have my fancy smart phone and even though I waste a ton of battery pushing my notifications, I still never seemed to get the emails quick enough and therefore never got the shifts. With this app and the push for a year add on I bought- I am always the first. When I open those emails they say "sent 0 minutes ago" I get all the good shifts now. I could not be more satisfied. Yes there are minor bugs, but I just use my regular mail app that came on my phone for whatever this one can't handle (which isn't much) What I bought it for it does flawlessly. Thank you iMailG.

Had to revert back to old version

Last two versions have been awful! I reverted back two versions to 7.6.2, I believe it is and I love this app again! Thank goodness I held onto the older version because I would've stopped using this app otherwise. I didn't like the new interface and it became very slow, I hated the yellow banner that said what account I was logged into almost every time I entered the app - I only have one account configured so having that pop up was completely unnecessary and annoying. It wasn't registering my read emails and I kept having to refresh or it would just randomly unmark a message as read at random. The fade in effect was another feature that I found unnecessary and just seemed to make it feel even more slow. I was, thankfully, able to get rid of all of these issues by reverting the app. It works great the way it is, does everything I need it to do and I don't plan on updating again. If it ain't broke...

Update: I used to not like it. Now I do!

There are a lot of things involved with this app. The thing I didn't get at first was everything is there. You just have to realize how to use it. Like any good apple product. It's not difficult you just have to understand how to use it. This is a very well thought out app. It accomplishes a lot of functions that google should have and that's saying a lot. The developer is out in front of everyone with this app. You really should try it, then buy it. After exploring all the functions and features this app has traded places with my mail icon at the bottom of my screen. That's the best compliment I can give. The ONLY problem I can see is the push notifications. They charge for this service. And it ain't cheap. I am a pretty tough reviewer and very rarely give 5 stars but this app deserves it save for one problem, push. Give us push or AT LEAST a badge telling us about new mail and I would say 5 stars all the way! Great job!

Very Few Push Notifications

No one ever replies to my emails for one thing. Second, I rarely get push notifications. The emails come to the app but no ringtone! I paid for this app so this is very frustrating!

Great Gmail App

I first purchased Gmail Push which worked pretty well but iGmail works much better. iGmail is more expensive but for email which I use so much it is worth the price. iGmail and Gmail Push both do offline messages and push well. Gmail Push has a bug that brings up a dialog box every time you move the cursor and this was really annoying. iGmail does not have this bug. As well iGmail has an on screen display that jumps to the top or bottom of the page, back or forward very easily. Works well with Google Apps too. Overall I am very happy with the app. I wish Google could release a version themselves, rather than the web versions plus push that all of these third parties are doing -it would have offline search, a deep cache of messages for offline reading or viewing, and would load faster than these HTML5 versions. Is that what is available on Andr0id? Until that happens this one works well for me.

App good, support awful

The app itself is good, but support is non-existent. Emails aren’t answered, and webpage is of limited help. I’ve used this for years, but time to dump it. Save your $.

Images are not displaying

For a while now, images do not display in iMailG but they do in other email apps. How do I fix this?

Won’t log in to Gmail error

All attempts to use this app to read email are now met with an error that “this browser is unable to log into Gmail due to lack of JavaScript” or something to that effect. In other words, the app seems to have died. Used it for nearly a decade before it died. :-(
