Keyboard need a lot of work

You need to copy the Samsung keyboard and how there’s respond because the number line the fifth line should never change it should stay numbers or unless you had a special symbol key and that’s what you need and put all the special characters on the keyboard key and the keyboard needs to be bigger. Check out AI type keyboard so you can see there and the ability to adjust the size of the keyboard and the keys.

Good features but buggy

I was very happy to finally have swipe shift features in a keyboard as well as a 5th row, but the autocorrect is still buggy and sometimes a back arrow mysteriously gets registered. I think the latest update made things a little worse, actually. The ability to assign whole phrases to keys is nice but I'd rather have shortcuts like the Apple keyboard. Importing those shortcuts would be great. when the bugs are worked out, this will be my go-to keyboard, but right now it's not really usable.

Oof, should've listened to the reviews

EDIT: Updated review for end of October new version - Still completely unusable. I bought this because I used to use it on my jail broken device, but this new official version is basically unusable. Like 40% of the time it registered that I hit a key other than the one I actually tapped, the cursor movement function got activated WAAAAY too easily even when set at the least sensitive preferences, it has a bug where every single letter has an underline beneath it on the keyboard, the unwanted word-suggestion line makes the already smaller keys again much smaller still, and more. Maybe this software will get better in time, but as of now I'd call it an Alpha version release.

Flawless 5-Row Keyboard for iPhone! 😃

iKeywi Bad Name - GREAT APP!!This App works as it should seamlessly. Despite OLD Negative Feedback Rating, I took a chance. Basic easy instructions; WITH a 5 second video for integration for iOS on your iPhone or iPad. You would have to be a moron not to understand. I am using this on a iPhone 6 iOS 10.3.2. Save yourself some time by switching between keyboard screens all the time, searching for the numbers, ampersand & comma's. Did I mention this is customizable so you can use it to suit your typing style needs 🙃! So my 5th row has @ ; ?:/"! Those are some of the thing I use the most & hate switching between screens to find them!! It does take getting used to.. I must write that. We are like trained pigs at this point. LOL! The other downside is the SPELL CHECKER leaves a lot to be desired at this time.. However, I do read by the developer they are working on this. Fingers crossed 🤞 5 ✨ Stars

Not there yet, but….

I used iKeywi on previous iPhones and iPads, and this “will be” my go-to keyboard when the bugs are worked out. All I want from an alternative keyboard is a customizable 5th row and “swipe selection” of the cursor. However, this app isn’t there yet. When I typed “This year is 2014.”, it’s autocorrect sometimes has a weird mind of its own and autocorrects to “Thijs years us 20A4.” Also, about half the time I try to type “2014”, when I hit the “1” a different keyboard comes up; this sometimes happens with other keys too. When the bugs are worked out, THIS WILL BE THE ONE!!! It has served me well on previous iPhones and I can’t wait for this to be fixed!

✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦I understand the concept the developer was going for with this customizable keyboard. Basically, do you have a few emoji, symbols or short phrases you type all the time that you're sick of typing out or searching for on a key map? Boom, then program a key on the iKeywi! Set it and forget it! To be honest, the idea is pretty unique. I look for stuff like this so my patience is longer than the typical user. Maybe this was a new iOS devs "first keyboard" project. Think of that way. If that's the case, it's fantastic! I'm keeping it. I'm not near done messing with it. Now I can type my diamond divider without switching keyboards or doing a copy/paste from another app! ✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦

Needs some work

Pretty good so far, and i got just for access to numbers and the swipe cursor... BUT it would benefit with a little better tap tracking e.g., it seems to miss strokes when typing is any faster than "slow". It would also benfit from a feedback sound, unless i miss the setup to get the sound to work. That way you knwo you hit the keys.P.s. I actually ended up typing this review using default ipad keyboard because ikeywi was giving white text on white background = invisible!! Another bug!

This is the best feature of iOS8!!!

I love this app. I have used it for years back when you had to do special things to use a keyboard extension on iOS. A 5 row keyboard makes perfect sense on the taller iPhone 6 & 5s.Still not sure how to do keyboard customization (only had this approved version ~1 day) but as customization was a main feature of the old iKeywi, I am sure it is there somewhere or coming soon. (If it is there You might want to add a page in the Start menu to explain it more). And with the combination of swipe-to-select, I don't have to wait for SwipeSelection. (I would slow the swipe movement speed down a bit). Very happy to have this and the developer is doing rapid improvements in the app.Well worth the $! I recommend, without reservation, that you buy this!

Good idea but not a perfect keyboard yet.

The idea behind this keyboard is amazing and coming from a previously jail broken device I'm very delighted to see these feature. My only problem with this keyboard is that the size is too small, even though I have pretty small hands the keys are still too small for me to type on. Another feature I think that would be useful is secondary keys that are accessible through a simple swipe up gesture, and the swipe to type feature, much like TouchPal keyboard's features. Because of those reasons I think I will stick to using TouchPal or the Default Keyboard as my primary keyboards. However if the features I pointed out are implemented I will definitely start using this keyboard a lot more.

Not quite there

I was really stoked about this app because of its swipe selection-like feature, but after using the keyboard for a day, I've removed it from my keyboards. It's practically unusable as-is. The keys are way too small (can you pleeeease make them the same size as the current stock ios 8 keyboard (which works so well on my iPhone 6)? Also, there needs to be an option to remove the 5th row. The autocorrect is also terrible. It more often screws up what you're typing rather than correcting it. This becomes a big problem because of the tiny keys; I'm constantly making tons of typos (I am normally pretty accurate). Consequently, it took me forever to type a couple sentences and requires tons of editing. To the point that using this keyboard started to give me anxiety and made me not want to message anyone (I had deleted the stock keyboard hoping I would no longer need it). If the keyboard size was increased a bit to take advantage of the larger iPhone 6 and 6+ screens and the option to remove the 5th row added, it would vastly improve this keyboard (but don't forget about improving the autocorrect). I really hope this keyboard gets updated soon because I have such high hopes for it and it's one of the few apps I've ever actually paid for in the App Store.
