Missing a key feature

It would be nice if you could import your floor plan as an image and scale it properly so that you can visualize your plans in 3D (Basically like a lot of the other designing apps). It’s quite difficult to start drawing every single room separately. It would be nice to have the option to use a specific wall thickness before drawing instead of having the user changing it every single time. The option to tap on a wall and entering length/width manually. Would love to get a better realistic renders at least for the M1/M2 iPads in addition to the ability to hide the UI to take a screenshot and/or the option to export a scene thats on the screen. Also, the free option is terrible. My work which wasn’t much anyway was lost. I think I’ll buy the premium version anyway for now and hope for the best. For the cost, I cant be too harsh but I thought those were simple option that should exist. Obviously the more objects the better.

Promising but not there yet

I wanted to like this app and even purchased the full version, but I can't deal with it anymore. It is difficult to figure out and a tutorial would have made it a lot easier to figure out basics without having to spend literal hours to try and do just a couple of things. The items available are basic and few, but for a $5 app, I don't expect more than that. What I do expect is to be able to edit/add on to a plan I was working on after I fully exit the app and come back to it. The app force closing or just putting a thin, blue line that immediately disappears where I wanted a room is not functional. This part is what really annoyed me the most after spending a few hours to learn the basics of the app and begin a floor plan. Considering requesting a refund as this should be basic functionality of the app. I did like the app well enough until that point just to for my ideas on "paper" so to speak.

Nothing Intuitive About It

The free version has zero instructions. There's no way that I can find to choose actions other than draw and add a new blank design, and nothing that shows how to save the one file supposedly allowed. No way to delete layouts that I can tell (the + at the top of the page creates a new blank rather than showing more tools). The creators' response to a similar complaint, “we will consider” including that info in the next version, is ridiculous. How about a link to your webpage and a pdf? Seems like a no-brainer. The layout it let me create was great, and easy to make, but it vanished when I tried to pull up the panel that lets you insert windows, etc. Why would I buy the pro version of this?

Slightly difficult to utilize quickly

This app is okay for what it does. Consider changing how the measurements for items are entered. The items with the +/- are much easier for accurate entries, the slide button items make it difficult to enter the correct measurements on the 1st,2nd, 3rd (or more, depending on your fingers) try. Also, more decorative items would help also. And it would be nice to choose the type of flooring and then change the color of the flooring as well

Has potential, but too many flaws

I bought the premium version and used it 0n my iPad Air 3 (OS 15) for a couple of hours. I enjoyed some of the features and 3D view to walk through your floor plan. But there are too many bugs. If you save your plan and come back later to continue working, it can no longer be edited. Not helpful for a big project. And it’s really a drag when the app crashes before you are finished, and it did several times. The wall texture feature defaults to a 2 layer option, where the upper half of the wall is white and wood paneling on the lower half. No matter how many times you adjust it, it falls back to this default. I finally finished a room layout and saved it. Upon reopening it. It looked pretty nice. But the layer with the dimensions is not locked to the layer with the floor plan. They move around and zoom in and out independent of one another. Also, the 3D view loads without any walls after saving it. Just freestanding furniture and cabinets.I gave the app 2 stars, because it is a good start with nice templates and features. It has the potential to be a good app. But it just wasn’t usable with these shortcomings. So, I uninstalled it and asked for a refund.

In app purchase?

It would be nice to actually be able to try to use the program before having to commit to buying it. You can open and start to use it but if anything pops up on your screen (notifications from other programs, etc.) or if it feels like it, it deletes everything you were working on and gives you a blank page to start over. Sure, you can play with it to figure out some of the commands and controls, but not enough to finish a single room or the basic layout of a project. It was more frustrating than helpful toward learning anything from it!

Why Even Have a Free Version...

The app times out in the middle of designing. I, like others , understand that you can’t save your design. I’m not a professional and would have no need to purchase the standard or pro version since I’m only needing it for one small project. It has potential to be great. If you’re money hungry have ad and ad free versions. Then it’s a win win for everyone. Also, there are very limited items to choose from and it’s really hard to tell what some things are. Anyways , just my two cents. I worked hard on a plan only to lose not once, not twice but three times before I was finished. More than an hour wasted.

Frustrated

The app itself is great. I , personally didn’t buy the nicer version because I don’t really need the ability to save. I’m using that to sort of test feasibility, before I ever plan to use the designs. But come on. There’s no reason you need to make the app close down in the mist of my work. It’s like, hey, I’m actively using it right now, now trying to keep it open to get around the restrictions. And you’ve essentially programmed the app to crash unless I spend money. I get that it’s only worth it to you if I pay, but I’m not gonna be frustrated and then put down money. No, I’m gonna get frustrated and then delete the app. So consider your objectives unachieved. Disappointed.

So far it’s fun, however...

There’s a bit of a glitch when it comes to windows and they seem to not show up in the 3-D model whenever you have more than four windows. Also, it does seem a little weird that you have to write the game in order to unlike other stuff but it’s better than buying it if I like it more than almost likely buy it since I do like to do some designs granted I already own the Sims four so what’s the point of buying an app when I could just you know Boo’d Up a game that I already own that’s more of a hypothetical thing, but this is mostly just for planning for this game better than having to look for a book that I keep misplacing unlike an app that’s on my iPad that I always know where it is

Great for the price.

And it’d be worth more if it got more solid. The raytracing is a nice feature, give the layouts a real touch of realness. I’d like to be able to zoom in further in 2D(trying to, makes the image jump off the screen). That, and/or increase the accuracy of the scale handles. Even with an Apple Pencil, some items are hard to grab and scale instead. In 3D: an x-ray view to look through exterior walls. And an overhead controller to do the walk through, instead of trying to control it first person view. Maybe a lens control option for the camera.
