It displays your devices in a different way to the Home app. You cannot control devices. You cannot configure devices. You cannot reorder anything. If two rooms have the same set of devices they might appear in the same order for each room, but most likely they won’t - e.g. you might get “Bob’s Room: light fan blinds, Jim’s Room: blinds light fan”It has some weird ideas about what classification things should be - my fans are all “air sensors”, my nightlights are all “sensors”.Trying to add a room to a zone caused an error dialog to pop up. Repeating the operation caused a different error dialog to pop up.I could see no way to delete an empty zone. The author of this app also sells a $15 HomeKit app - based on this app I’m not sure I want to shell out for that app.
It does literally nothing but renaming accessories and as a result it does allow you to “view” them by room or type as it claims. However, it is still pointless and does nothing that you can’t do in the HomeKit app.
I can't edit the order of any of my devices. And every device's status is the same colour so you have to really look to see which ones are on and which are off.
Home Configurator lets you see your HomeKit homes, accessories, rooms and zones in a more organised way. The accessories are grouped by type to give you a better overview over lights, outlets, switches and sensors. You can easily edit your homes, rooms and zones – create new ones, rename or delete them.
