Love this app!

This is my go-to app for tracking and organizing all of my cocktail recipes. I make a new recipe card when I come across a drink online, in a magazine or at a bar. I love the ability to customize every aspect of the drink card. It’s easy to scroll through the list as well. I have built an extensive library and wish that there was a may to group drinks by base spirit, glass type (up vs rocks), stirred vs shaken, etc. this would be a great update and I’d gladly pay a onetime upgrade fee for these advanced features if that what it would take. Thanks again for a great app and I do look forward to future updates.

Amazing app with 1 small flaw

I love this app. I love the colors and versatility and all the options for customization. We use this as our main book for all our favorite cocktails. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to sort the recipe cards. They only sort top to bottom in order of date added, rather than alphabetical or by type of liquor or any other sorting system. I hope this function will be added soon, then the app would literally be perfect!!

Very clean and easy to use

I’ve been looking for a way to store all the different drink recipes I’ve come across from various sources, and this app provides the best format by far. It’s a well-organized and neat way to store drink cards. They make it easy to create custom drink recipes so your favorites are on file, but they also have a decent library of classic cocktails for someone whose learning. Hopefully they’ll add more garnishes in the future, but even if they don’t this app is great as is.

I truly love this app but

Im only giving this a two stars because there needs to be a way to export multiple recipes at once. Everyone would also greatly appreciate having the ability to organize into folders or alphabetically, and the cherry on top would be to have a cloud. Please please please bring these features into the next update, this app deserves 5 stars but I want to get someone’s attention with the low rating. I use this for my craft cocktail bar and we have so many cocktails and it is so difficult to use this app for the reasons mentioned, but I don’t want to use any other app.

Good library, poor editor

Lots of apps provide recipes and images. A few allow the user to import or create recipes. This app is one of the few. However, I've found it difficult to use. I want to copy/paste the ingredients and directions, and edit the recipe easily. The app allows me to copy/paste, but it does not allow me to insert paragraph breaks. I've spent much time and thought creating a Google Doc with all my recipes. I'd hoped that I could easily inport or copy/paste all my recipes into the app, but I've found it to be cumbersome and tedious. The app does not retain any of the formatting when copy/pasting, and it does not allow me to add paragraph breaks in the directions. Not a good fit for me.

Best looking cocktail app but very limited

This is the best looking cocktail app in the store. I love that it is focused on storing your own recipes rather than being a big database of existing recipes. It’s clearly focused on the enthusiast with their own recipe collection rather than the person who wants to make a drink here or there. With that said, I wish they would put a little more time into development and add a few features that could greatly improve the app. Ability to sort and categorize your recipes would be huge. Currently the best you can do is by color of the cards or where you place them in order. Another is backup. There needs to be a way to back up to the cloud. As is, what’s the point of manually typing up all of your recipes only to have them tied to one device? Phone breaks, so does your recipe collection. And exporting each recipe card, one by one isn’t a realistic workaround for a large library. As it currently stands, this is more of a novelty way to make pretty recipe cards than an actual useful tool. Dear Studio Neat, several reviews have mentioned a pay model. Seriously... charge us for the app. Even just add cloud backup and an iPad version and I’ll gladly shell out a few $$.

Great UI/design

Great looking and functioning program — easily the best in these regards of the drinks programs I’ve used. Limited database of drinks (though being an encyclopedia of drinks isn’t the point of the program) which may not work for some, but drinks are easily added and will look better and be more accessible than in other programs. As a former bartender/present drink creator and mixer, I finally have the app I’ve been looking for. One suggested improvement; a live conversion feature that would allow, say, moving a drink/ingredients units from centiliters to ounces.

Cards/numbers won't load

I'd love to give a higher rating but unfortunately the app has always failed to read the QR codes on cards. Trying to enter drink numbers manually also comes up with a warning "this number didn't match any cards". Luckily it's possible to enter my own recipes manually, though the cards are one of the main features they advertise. I wish there was a way to sort the cards into a few different groups - if I'm feeling like a rye drink, it would be convenient to pull up a list of my favorite rye drinks. Maybe by swiping left/right to move between multiple user defined lists of cards. To workaround this, I've sorted them in groups and altered the colors of the cards so that they're set apart visually. I also wish there was a way to track the spirits you have on hand so that I could do away with a secondary app entirely. I love the minimal look but nailing down the card loading, and adding a few extra simple features would make this a definite 5 star in my eyes.

ALMOST perfect

This is hands down the best cocktail recipe app for the casual/home bartender. Great look and feel, easy to use and deceptively simple. The only problem is that it DESPERATELY needs an update to add a few things. Database backups, iCloud support, more glassware and garnish options, and more organization tools. I realize it’s a free app and it’s not Studio Neat’s primary focus but it REALLY, REALLY needs just a few things to make it a 5-star app. Maybe consider a refresh or handing the codebase off to someone who can really put the time into it? As others have said, I’d happily pay quite a bit for this app if it was paid.

Great app but could be better with a few small changes!

First of all I want to thank studio neat for making such a great app but is it possible to update it to have a few more garnishes and glasses and types of ingredients? Also to back it up. I’m surprised there isn’t a sugared rim garnish and a few other things. Like globes for the glass ware. They’re becoming more popular. And now i might be getting nit picky but a visual measurement next to the ingredients would be amazing. I remember things a lot better through images than words. That being said I love that you can pick the color and the glass. I would love to see these updates so much so that I’ll even toss y’all a couple of dollars for the development. I know plenty of people that would pay for this app if it just had a little more variety and usability. If it’s not in your wheelhouse to update this I’m still grateful. Thank you 🙏🏽
