Why we exist: My name is Andreas and I’m the founder of clir. I was inspired to embark on this journey by witnessing my brother’s struggle with hearing impairment. Even though he’s using expensive hearing aids, he still faces trouble communicating in noisy situations. This drove me to work on an AI to alleviate this issue. What then started as a university thesis soon became what is now clir Voice, an app to bring AI speech enhancement into the hands and ears of millions of people suffering from hearing impairment, as well as millions more who simply need an effective background noise removal tool.
