Great App, some flaws

I recently got this app and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys making edits. However, the fact that you need to pay for it and still have a watermark kind of bugs me. It would also be nice to have an option not to have music, and just glitchy sounds or something along those lines. It would also be amazing if you could layer effects. I can understand purchasing some other effects and things considering the low cost of the app, I understand that making an app can be expensive, but if you could take this review into consideration that would be awesome! I hope I wasn’t a waste of your time.

This App Used To Be Amazing & It Was FREE

Now you guys did what everyone else does, added a premium subscription and there’s barely any content it’s absolutely incredible that Apple has even allowed this I would rather pay a one time price for an app then have a subscription to a free app no offense but you app developers aren’t Netflix providing mass movies and television shows to the people, these are little effect apps I understand it takes work, time and effort but everything was free before with better effects & I had really high hopes for this app but now everyone has a subscription fee for absolutely nothing it’s incredible how money hungry everyone is on this stupid planet that we can’t even create video content on the iPhone anymore without having to pay $3 a month! 😡

PREMIUM

I've been using this application countless times with absolutely NO issue. I LOVED the feature that is unique to the app where you can make live versions with filters! I was okay with watching an ad EVERY time I wanted to save an image! I like to support them. IM VERY upset to see after upgrading the app, all the features that were free to use (and the food filters like glitch and the new one, not the crappy free filters) ALL the good ones are now premium ONLY. I do NOT want to pay 3.99+ to use filters that I could've used YESTERDAY for free! I already watch an ENTIRE ad to save my images. I'm not changing my rating until the premium feature isn't required to be able to use the filters I like and have been using for a long time. This used to be my favorite app for editing. I am EXTREMELY UPSET with the new update. I was very excited to see new filters but you've disappointed me with the new update! Fix it or else I'm not giving you a good rating! My rating stands at 1 star and won't go back up to 5 stars unless I can get away to use the good filters for free! I don't care if I have to watch an ad. I WANT TO USE THE FILTER WITHOUT PAYING 3.99+!! I used to love the app now I'm considering deleting it and telling everyone who I recommend to get THE apP to scratch that cause the good filters aren't available anymore. FIX IT!

So much wasted potential

I am a paid user of this app but sad to see that the developers don’t care about feedback or even improve the app. Almost a year later, the app still suffers from stability issues, no option to save projects, no option to work with different video sizes or resolutions, just stuck with vertical video and most importantly, no unlimited video creation or the ability to add our own music. The 30 second max limit, no horizontal or landscape possibilities and zero ability to import my own music makes this a half baked app that is exactly the same as when I upgraded it. Hope the developers will listen now.

It’s great but...

I love this app so much!! I been using it for a few months now and it’s the only app I can rely on for music since other apps require Apple Music or iTunes (which isn’t free). With Groovo, it comes with its OWN and FREE music! ANY song I want, this app has it. The down side is that this app tends to go mute. Music is unheard and can take days for it to work again. I just also came across another problem recently within the app with uploading, it no longer saves my videos!! ): I really wish this app continues the updates to fix these problems. I love it a lot and hope the issues can be fixed soon.

Amazing app

This app offers great effects. I think it is worth getting it. The effects are cool. I have some requests, I would like to hav more effects added to the previous ones. Also, I would like for the video time to be longer (about 1-2 minutes instead of 30 seconds). Also I would like a feature that lets u fade between slides if u don’t have one already. I really like using this app, and I like the fact that u can search many fun songs, but I would like a feature that will let u choose what parts of the song that u want. And I think adding a feature that lets u upload your own music for your video. I wish this app had more of those details, but it is fantastic for beginners.

Wish it worked.

Some of the features and capability of this app is great. Great ideas. But....Trimming clips or trimming timing on photos is not working. I got stuck on my feed page and it wouldn’t let me go home. It’s unfortunate that once you post/“save” a file and you want to go back and edit it, you have to start over. Interface is not very intuitive. It’s not a “simple” app. Not that is hard, it’s just a little cumbersome. Maybe these are all new bugs.?.? Not sure. But I’ve been trying to just get started and have spent a ton of time and still have not figured this app out and why things that should be really straight forward are not working. I think most of the problem that I’m having seem to be bug related. I’m use to working in Photoshop, Premier, After Affects, and dozens of other very robust applications.

Love-Hate Relationship

I have a love hate relationship with Groovo! I love the app there’s no app with the cool video effects that Groovo offers and the music selection is awesome! Music is Endless and Available! They even had historical recordings (I used a Malcom X clip for a promo I was doing) On the other I hate that when you make a video to edit once you start you have to complete it... in a timely manner because after so long the app will kick you out and there goes all your work. Once it kicks you out you have to start all over! I have spend countless night redoing videos becuase of this factor. Also you can no saves video to a draft... if that was available life would be easier!

I love the app but...

Hi! I love groove soooo much but ever since I updated it there have been some rlly cool changes it’s just when I go to the picture icon it only does video! I have no clue where the picture is! When I noticed I was doing a video I freakin held my eyes open as long as I could! Man, I felt like crying after that HELLA LONG video i noticed i was taking! I had to wash my face....cause my eyes were burning so dang much. Ok I’m going off topic but anyways I would love for y’all to make new filters and make more cool FREE stickers PUH-LEASE. I expect an amazing change after this, thanks! ❤️

it WAS great

I thought this app was pretty great for editing videos and such, what with all the cool free filters and huge watermarks like most other video/picture filter and editing apps. I’m so extremely disappointed after the new update recently. Majority of the live filters now available for only people with premium and big watermark in the corner. I really don’t understand the reason for this update besides trying to force a paywall on features that should be free, and forcing money out of people to remove a watermark that shouldn’t even be there. I doubt it’ll get changed back because they probably don’t care, and ya know, money. It was one of the only amazing video filter apps out there with quality and a variety of great filters, and now it’s just added itself to the list of pay to use editing apps. Updated it a few days ago and was using it again today when I saw what had apparently happened and then immediately uninstalled. I’d rather find an alternative.
