I finally found a great gin game

After trying numerous others, I discovered this gem! It has an eloquent UI which provides smooth playing. No crazy number of pop ups at start up or after a game. Thank you!! I’ve been playing the game since I was 7. That was 70 years ago. I played and gambled in bookie joints with serious players. Most of the games were hard fought, tense games. It was extremely rare for anyone to gin after 2 or 3 cards. This game reminds me of those times. It comes across as a fair dealer. The best I’ve seen so far. I have no need to look for another gin game. Thank you developers.There is one option I would enjoy seeing added. That’s Hollywood style where the knock card can’t be higher than the turned up card that is first dealt. It presents a totally different challenge.

Regulate top end players

The game itself is great but you have players with literally millions of coins in the newbie and rookie areas. That should not be the case. Stay in your lane play to your level stop robbing new players trying to learn the game. Also, i have played gin rummy for most of my life, and have a 62 percent win rating which is really decent considering there is both skill and luck to a gin rummy game. Every time i play a game for big money though, a “guest” shows up to play me some of which have over 10,000 games played and have a 98 percent win rate but still play as a guest. These players often gin within 3 cards. Sounds fishy to me.

Beware!

I absolutely love this game, but!, Once you get to a large bet and you have a lot of coins, all of a sudden network connection is lost. I have made $2000 bets and had no problem, $5000 bets and I’ve had no problem, but once I get up into the 40,000 and over, all of a sudden, network connection is lost and I lose the game. (not every time, but, a lot of the time).However, does not make me stop playing it. I just go with the lower bets to raise my coins. Once in a while, I’ll get lucky with a big pot, but most of the time my network connection gets lost and I think that that is quite sneaky on this game’s part.They want to dwindle you down to buy more coins.

Best gin app I’ve played

I feel like I’ve tried almost all of the Gin apps. This one is one of the smoothest and allows online play and creating your own table. I don’t know if the game is rigged, as some reviewers have said; but it definitely seems like you always pick up the card you need after you discard its match. Seems to happen way more on these apps than in real life. I do wish this app would allow you to create your own leagues and clubs like one of the other big gin apps does. Overall I like it though. It doesn’t crash on me the way the other big hotel gin app does.

I do not believe in spending my hard earned money on games, but that being said, this gin game is the best I have played. I wonder sometimes if the AI cheats based upon the cards that come up and when it deals. I suspect that it is programmed to help PAYING players. I would make one suggestion - add a knock play where the knock number has to be below the first card turned from the draw pack. Examples: Ace plays to gin. All other cards are their value and to knock the knock card must be less than or equal to the card that determines the knock. Some games also play that any spade used as the knock card it worth double points. The knock card value can be displayed on the table. Otherwise, it is a great gin game!!!UPDATED REVIEW - DOWNGRADE THE STARS TO 1 - THE AI USED TO DEAL THE CARDS CHEATS - ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON COINS - EVERY GAME I’VE PLAYED USING THEIR “JOKER” STYLE, MY OPPONENT ALWAYS HAS TWO JOKERS IN THE FIRST HAND OF THE MATCH - THE SECOND HAND THE OPPONENT ALWAYS HAS ONE - GARBAGE GAME - NOT WORTH PLAYING - GOING TO DELETE.

Great Gin Rummy App

I prefer this game over another similar one on the App Store. The format is user-friendly. There are very few ads. You play against real people. I like that anyone can create a table (choose: bet amount, straight gin or gin rummy, and number of points to win). Another app I used required players to pay money to be able to create a table. New players beware when leaving a table after a game, make sure you select the “Leave Table” button. Otherwise, another game will start and you will lose coins if you left with exiting properly.

Great Gin Game

I have found this to be a challenging online game much like the real thing! I do believe the instructions could be more detailed for beginners and an option available to join a game or not where the stakes are high without being penalized as a loss for immediately leaving the game. It takes a bit for beginners to accrue wins without unintentional excessive betting losses for leaving a game immediately that is not appropriate for beginners. With most everything, there is room for improvement to encourage beginners to take up the game!

Good game

My only issue with this game is the music. Since the last update and the new beach scene it plays this goofy music and the only way to turn it off is to turn off all game sounds. I like having the game sounds so if playing someone really slow… you can do hear when it’s your turn. Even if you mute the ad (which is a great feature) the music then kicks in… like it’s constantly playing in the background. Anything constantly playing in the background is draining the battery unnecessarily. Every app I’ve had in the past that had music gave two options for sound. One for no sound and one to turn off the music. It’s really annoying when trying to play with a friend and FaceTime simultaneously (so you can trash talk with a buddy!). The only other option that would be great is an auto sort when an opponent knocks/gins. If you rearrange your cards while it’s the other players turn to see what your hand looks like… and they knock… you can get caught giving extra points to your opponent. Before the music or with the option to mute music only… it would be 5 star.

Great Gin game

My husband and I both love this game! I Like that it gives you the option of playing someone you know or a random opponent. I like that for the most part it's real people you are playing, at least on the lower levels. No ads to speak of which is great and opportunities to earn coins with bonuses for playing. It would be helpful to have some kind of help area to explain how the jackpot works and maybe some other things that aren’t obvious when you start playing, but most of it can be figured out after playing a while.

Time Wasted

I planned to give this 5 Stars, but I spent hours trying to Win the Jackpot which requires winning every hand in a match and it got up to 1500g as it adds 150g for every consecutive match that you didn't win all hands to keep you playing the next match in hopes of winning the larger pool of gold. Someone left the match in mid-game and I got punished because the Jackpot reset to "0" even though I stayed true and kept playing consecutive matches. My games are set to 100pts to Win so you can imagine my matches can take some time to complete. I stuck with it hoping to Win the Jackpot when I had other things I needed to get done due to the amount the Jackpot got up to.
