Good idea, but game is broken

The graphics are pretty nice, I had fun playing it the first couple levels but the idea for the game is broken. All you have to do is place all of one color each turn and you win every. single. time. This is because it saves the moves that were right, and theres always the equal amount or more of turns. This made the game just boring because theres 0 challenge after you figure out the trick. Theres not much you can do to fix this other than change the core of the game.

Make something change.

Yeah, I saw this game on an Insta ad, and from the moment the ad started, I had already figured out that if you just place a color in the row over and over, you would eventually get the answer. This works due to design the amount of guesses possible being equivalent or less than to the amount of balls. This, in all honesty, just seems like a money grab game. It’s got a level system that some people crave. This said level system draws people in and keeps them playing to get to higher levels, but without a difficulty increase due to the cheat, there’s not much of a pay off other than the number of levels you wasted time on. Also, there are a BUNCH of ads, which one can assume is just to make money. These ads play very often, and with the level system that people crave, they keep watching the ads, thus making the creators money. In all honesty, I don’t know how this cheat slipped producers minds, but it can be fixed. This has potential to be a great game, but at the games current state, it is not.

No thought

The ad for this game was pretty appealing which is why I downloaded this. I was disappointed to find out that this game requires pretty much no skill to play. Just guessing the balls that fit in the right areas gets old fast because once you figure out that you can press each color for each row until you get it right, the game becomes pointless. The constant ads after every round along with the small amount of effort into making the game makes you think that the developers only care about the money. This seems like a common trick that a lot of mobile game developers use to trick people for money. Do not download this game because we need more mobile games that are actually fun.

I haven’t even played for that long

For the first time in the many years of the trend in ads for these sorts of games, I actually understand why the “player” in the ad is struggling. One of the most frustrating marketing tactics, in my opinion, is having some game where the answer is obvious and the “player” is still failing. It was so refreshing to see and ad like the one I saw for this game, where I actually wasn’t sure if I could do it or not. And that curiosity made me want to play. The mechanics are really nice and the concept is really interesting. Well done. I will continue to play. And I don’t see myself getting bored of this game any time soon.

Great Concept, Disappointing Execution

I love the fallout hacking system that works in a text form of this game, but this one just... doesn’t work. All you have to do is fill all of the spots with one color and make your way left to right until you’ve got the combination. The number of attempts is always more than sufficient for this strategy, and honestly there’s just no other logical way to do it.I’d suggest working on the hint system so that it only checks to see if the first ball in each sequence is correct, not the subsequent ones after an incorrect placement. It’s not a great fix, but frankly, it’s hard to pull off a concept like this without just straight up ripping off fallout.

Good but needs to be developed more

Loved the board game Mastermind as a kid. Same idea. This is fun but there is so much more that could be done: 1. There is no bonus for getting answer in fewer tries. Like whether you get it in 2 or 5 makes no difference. 2. I keep earning money but there is nothing to use it on. After you get the 9 pets and balls early on there’s nothing else to buy. Not even like a help or hint. 3. I’d like to be able to select options of number of holes and number of balls. Or select random the way it is now. Then I could play against someone on the same device. 4. This would be fun to be able to play against another person and have the game keep score. 5. There are a lot of ads. Some of them I have to restart the game to get rid of the ad bc it won’t close.

Cool game. Not perfect.

I like this game. A lot of people are saying if you work your way left to right and put the same color in one row and then the next in the next and so on, you can beat the levels every time. There are some levels where you can’t like level 14. That’s actually good though because it’s not as easy as I thought. Fix the game so that there are no tricks or hacks to solve the levels. It’s a great concept but it’s not quite there yet.

Poorly designed- did these people do math in college?

Because you are locked into keeping the correctly placed balls, you lose a spot that could be used to more quickly test all of the possible colors to see if they are part of the combo. For example, say there are 8 possible colors and four slots. If you happen to get three balls right by chance the first time, you have only one slot to test things in- so even playing with optimal strategy, you might need up to seven more turns to get it right (because you need to test all the colors you didn’t test the first time, plus the three colors in the three correct spots). If you were not locked in like this, you would need at most three turns to get the correct combination (two to test colors, one to input the result). Therefore you are punished for having a lucky guess, which in my opinion is poor game design. I am surprised that people who presumably have computer science degrees produced a game that reflects such a lack of mathematical consideration.

Pretty addictive

Based on this title, you’re thinking I’m some bot writing this review. But nope, I’m a real human. This game is actually pretty enjoyable. I often play it whenever I am not connected to wifi because that way I have no ads. Game is very repetitive, but that’s kind of the point. I’m past level 300 and I’ve noticed how good I’m getting at guessing and noticing patterns. I feel like I’ve gained something and for that, I’d give this game 5 stars.

Good Game, One Error

The concept of this game is very good. Even for people saying that you can cheat, it doesn’t work that way in the higher levels. However, the game’s one flaw is due to it forcing you to lock in balls you guess correctly, thus decreasing the number of chances you have to find which colors still remain. Like someone else said, if you guess three colors right the first time, then you cannot guarantee success despite optimal play, since you might only have one option to try every single color in the game
