Get a REAL tutor

This app is really really bad. I've been taking French at school for six years and this didn't teach me anything new obviously but I just wanted to look at it. It doesn't teach you anything about definite and indefinite articles, verbs, or anything that would help you survive in a French speaking coutry except words and a few questions. No one could ever last in a French speaking country if they learned from this app. The tests are so easy because you can basically guess the answers with this little thing at the bottom that tells you if the letters you put in are correct. If you really want to learn French seriously get a REAL tutor.

False advertising

NOT free. No part of the app is usable for free. But why would they call it that other than to take it vantage of people?

I just got this app and have not tried it yet so idk bt anyways forgive me if I sound dorkey or something I'm only 14 but the person asking bout the numbers 1-100 they are not that hard I would put them on here bt I can't I don't think and that's same with the alpabet. I mean I can't really tell u how to pernouce it or how it supposed to sound the closest way I could is doing what my French teacher does... I hope if u don't already know it u learn both and good luck and I hope the app helps improve my French grade and turning in my homework would help also....and if anyone is wondering y I'm only rateing 1 star it's because I'm nt sure I like it or nt. Like I said I just got this app and haven't got to try it so... And does any1 know if there is a free app fir algebra1? I dont need help in that class i would just like some extra practice. :-)

Fantastic learning tool!! =D

I used this app to help me learn some French basics. It is great! I recommend this app to anybody who wants to learn french. It has audio examples that are really helpful. If you have never practiced French before (like me) you may find it difficult to hear the distinct sounds of the audio examples but if you keep practicing it gets easier. Also the games are fun and perfect for beginners and more advanced learners. I say 5 stars!!

Excellant !!!

I'm using both this French language app and also the Spanish one from the same company. It's hard to study two languages at once but I want to have some ability to speak the languages when I travel to France and Spain next year.I have to say that these apps are really great. When I've studied other languages before, I've always had a very difficult time, especially in the beginning. This app however really makes it much easier and a lot more fun. The multiple quiz methods used are really very effective. I've never learned so much in such a short time.I highly recommend these apps. It's really very surprising that you get so much for free.

Joke- you would feel foolish if you used this very informal...

Like most language's, their is a common/ casual way to speak and a proper way to speak. French, the language, may have the allusion of being Le même, the same , but, when I spoke with a person from Quebec, I believe they call them Québécois, they , in they say things so differently than France. The French do not use the word Je to describe inanimate situations. There are feminine words and masculine words. Every word in French is either or , further you have to know which one it is plus who you are speaking which adds to the mixture of a proper sentence. This app is a data dump. The tutor also isn't french, and lacks the depth and nasal inclusions along with pronunciation of speaking.I truly believe their is nothing in America , unless L'ecole ou L'Universite ( and I wonder if that I used the masculine noun correctly ) pardon moi, not excusé moi, will French. Try an erudite or a Parisian. Otherwise, I highly doubt using French after studying it and then you visit , they will call your attempt to speak it just, "necessary ". Not good. Bottom line, don't use/ bother with this app at all. Free is used for a raisôn.

Easier said than done

For a free app, it's worth the download for anyone wanting to learn French or just wanting to expand their horizons. It's not easy learning another language, so I'm working my way through it, but so far, since I've only had this app for a short time, the sound works and I'm struggling to pronounce the words in French. But this latest version definitely has working sound for me and so far, it's really worth a try.

Not worth it

I wanted something to help me learn French along with my Dad teaching me. I quickly found a few major flaws. Can you find a worse way to learn a language? The person speaking it says it quickly and in a paris accent--FYI, there is more to France than a city with, honestly, an ugly way of speaking French. They pronounce le lit like they have a speach impediment. You don't learn English with a Bosten accent, do you? Who cares if it comes from a big city! It's a tiresome system of memorization and butchered french. Even if the accent wasn't horrid, NOBODY could learn a thing from and this and even be remotely competant in a conversation.
