Why I’m no longer going to use Fox

I’m no longer using Dix because they are not airing the debate and have threatened to sue any social media channels or YouTubers who do air it. I hate censorship of any kind. I can NOT and will NOT support any media outfit that does this. I encourage others to boycott them as well.

Too many alerts

Stop sending so many breaking news alerts for things that are not breaking news! Save those for real news.

Too many ads

The app is so riddled with ads that it’s a nuisance to read the articles. Also, from time to time when I’m reading a long article the app will refresh and take me all the way back to the beginning of the article. I don’t know if that’s caused by one or more of the ads, or if the app refreshes content periodically, and for longer articles it refreshes before there’s enough time to finish reading the whole article.

Trouble posting

Why when I go to post a reply to a story it tells m to sign in. I had just posted on another story and another after the failed attempt. I was signed in the whole time. Something I said???

Over Tracking

Uninstalled today. App seems to collect too much personal data. E.g. why do they need access to my financial data. They do not allow users to opt out of sensitive data tracking and sharing.

Wouldn’t let me cast video from the app, only live broadcast

It’s rather a pointless app if your intention is to cast to a TV. I downloaded this app with the intent on watching videos on the TV. After downloading, and signing in with Xfinity, I attempted to cast a video to the TV, wherein an error message came on my phone screen stating that only Fox News Live and Fox Business Live can be casted. So I downloaded the app.

No Options Setting

Parts of the coverage are good, but the app needs an option to select the categories of interest. In my world news is serious. I don’t want to waste my time reading what some sports or follywood nut thinks about some other follywood or sports nut. Update the app and I’ll be back but for now … uninstalling because I don’t need the distractions of what follywood thinks!!!

Need Dark Mode

I would like to see the app include a dark mode for reading articles. The main page is great but when you tap on an article in the mobile app you often get a very bright white page with print that is not dark or bold enough and my eyes don’t want to be blinded like that do I don’t read the article.
