Exactly what I was looking for

That’s pretty much the kind of functionality I would expect from Apple themselves (I already used aliases on my macintosh’s desktop 30 years ago… I was 6 years old 🤨!) But so happy that someone smart did the job for them ! It’s still a bit rough on the edges but I guess widgets don’t allow much freedom to program with… One feature I miss though : being able to rename the shortcuts to make them shorter in the context of the app ( i want to keep the original file or folder name untouched ) otherwise it’s unreadable.

It didn’t work at first, but then …

It didn’t work at first (even after a restart, I couldn’t add widgets I had made), but then suddenly and mysteriously it worked beautifully.

Very frustrating

This app would work well, but for some reason, it won’t let me add some Pages files as shortcuts. I can add some, but not others, and there is no reasoning to it. Even if I take a Pages file that the app lets me use to make a shortcut and copy that file, the app won’t let me make a shortcut from the copy. I don’t understand it, but it is very frustrating. That flaw puts it directly down to a single star because it simply isn’t usable when I can’t add the files I need.
