Works well; won't save

It's a good app that my kid loves; the only real problem is that the Save function doesn't work. A tip: Use Guided Access, under Accessibility in Settings, to ensure that your kid can't exit the app.

Very engaging!

The app is very cute and I love it. Just wish they offered some slower, classical choices in music to help kids relax while painting. Nice app, though!

love this one but......

My students and daughter all love this app, I rather like it myself. We like the sounds and the colors are nice a bright. So far I haven't been disappointed with any of your apps. However.....The new ones that are out, the Big Bang apps. While I really like the computer games and think these apps would be fantastic for my CVI kiddos after paying $7 for each app I stil have to pay $7 for each in app purchase???? These are the best games and are the favorites of my CVI kids. But there is no way I can afford $7 a pop for each game and each pack of pictures. And they would have been fabulous for my home based kids. :(

One issue

My 2 year old absolutely loves this app. I only have one issue and that's when you touch the sides of the screen it will switch pages and actually leave the app. Which causes us to have to reset the whole thing. And considering my 2 year old goes crazy having fun this happens almost every 5 secs now. Otherwise a great free app.

Simple, fun, engaging!

We love this, it is simple yet open ended enough to be intriguing to to my students as well. It is even fun just as a reward for kids who are past learning cause/effect- they enjoy drawing and exploring the different sounds and colors. For the user who keeps swiping out of the app, go into your iPad settings, go to General, then turn off Multitasking Gestures (have experienced the same issue in the past!) one request- I would love to make the sound effect for the yellow color more quiet, it is more jarring than the rest. Music mode is our favorite!

Description

Explore touch with colour, sounds or music. An opportunity to finger paint without the mess! Finger Paint with Sounds offers a fun alternative to help children with special needs and others to practice their first interactions with a touch screen.

Simply choose a colour and draw with music, fun sound effects or no sound at all. Finger Paint with Sounds offers multi-touch and single-touch options. We suggest that single finger touch is better for some users with special needs as it reinforces finger pointing skills with a purpose rather than encouraging a random whole finger approach (may be difficult to un-learn). Using multi-touch gives a more obvious “cause and effect” activity for some. Try turning off the sound and music to see if the child needs auditory feedback or if they can see and enjoy the visual feedback alone. • Choose single-touch to encourage finger pointing skills. • Choose multi-touch for maximum cause and effect. • Bright feedback for children with visual impairments. • Save your best work to “Photos”. • Choice of musical or sound-FX auditory feedback or none.
