Just an OK App
Having to log back into my provider daily is very annoying especially when it stops what your watching to make you sign in. It does not maintain what your watching. I have to keep moving the bar to where I was when I stop watching something and come back to it. I also have to try and remember what episode or movie I was watching as there is no spot that shows what you were watching to continue the same episode or movie Ike everyone else has with their app. Good original programming though.
Great product login nightmare
Great content and really enjoy original programming, however it would be nice for it to actually work! Constantly having to re-enter Fios credentials and recently won’t even let me watch after I am logged in on my Apple TV. Have zero issue with HBO, STARZ, showtime, not sure why this is such constant hassle. Considering dropping epic all together if this isn’t fixed.

Update: December 9, 2021There have been 2 updates since my review and still I am unable to login with my FuboTV credentials. I used to be able to, but not for the last 2 months. This is not just towards Fubo, other people say that they are having the problem with DirecTV, DishNetwork, etc. It is pathetic that EPIX has not fixed this. When you try to login, you get an error message that says:{"message":"There was a problem parsing the response from our partner, please try again."}It sure would be nice if they cared at all to fix this, instead of doing nothing about it!Original Review:No longer able to login with TV provider FuboTV. It seems that others are having the same problem, hopefully this is fixed in the next update.
No link to subscribe
After logging in with my DIRECTV account, I am only able to view an extremely limited number of EPIX series and no movies at all. The app constantly tells me that I’m “missing out” and that I need to subscribe, but it never provides a link or directions on how to do that. Even after logging in to my DIRECTV account on the EPIX website there are no directions or options to subscribe.If I truly need to subscribe after logging in, then a method that’s easy to find and use should be available. If I don’t need to subscribe after logging in, then this app needs updating.2 stars for being able to view Pennyworth and Get Shorty, which seems to be the only things I can view at this time (among the shows and movies I’ve attempted to view).

I have been working in the industry for decades, I found Berlin Station and it is an excellent series. One of the best shows I've ever seen. I couldn't get the app with Direct tv but I am determined, I wrote Michelle Forbes, Dubai, everyone until I was successful. I envy anyone fortunate enough to have a provider that carries EPIX. I am looking forward to season II of Graves.
Failure to play downloads
I have been experiencing major problems with playing downloads when I am not connected to a network. All videos will play but only has sound for first five seconds or so. After that it will continue to play but muted. It seems to be a problem when a video has been previously partially played. Only way I have going to fix issue is to delete all downloads and reinstall app. When it works it is a great app hence my three stars but when it doesn’t it is terrible. I can never trust epic to to be the app I can rely on for offline entertainment
I’m very happy with the EPIX app!
So far I haven’t had any problems with the app or watching what I’d like to. I can only say that I don’t like downloading movies or original series. I wish I could just watch or stream some of programming on EPIX. I love the all the choices I have, the original series are wonderful. I’m totally happy I have this app, I highly recommend it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Variety
EPIX provides a variety of classic and recent films and some extraordinary original series. The Godfather of Harlem, Get Shorty, Pennyworth as well as others are entertaining and when possible Binge Worthy on Video on Demand or the App. I had wanted an opportunity to watch EPIX for many years and when it was finally made available I was extremely excited.
Barely worth the Effort
I really dislike the app, to the point when I pretty much ignore it. First issue is the frequent and cumbersome log in to verify my provider. Second issue is that choosing something to watch is so frustrating. The Coming section needs a visible date when the item will be viewable and most important DON’T include it in the lists by category until it can actually be watched. Nothing more annoying that finding something to watch only to see that it won’t be available for days or weeks. I get disgusted at this point and go to other streaming services.
Explain To Me AGAIN…
…why I should have to pay for an EPIX streaming account just to use the EPIX app when EPIX is part of my AT&T TV package? I can watch EPIX programming through the AT&T guide — why are you telling me to call AT&T because YOUR app insists that I need to ‘subscribe’ in order to access most anything in the app? I don’t understand.Until you guys remove that block, there’s no sense keeping the app on my AppleTV — which is a shame, because I was looking forward to talking up your programming and recommending your service to friends as an alternative to STARZ and Showtime. Please fix this.
