Like it but don’t

I like the simplicity of this app but am no longer wanting to use it because of these issues: there is no way to delete envelopes individually. When you go to “help” it brings up a menu but when you click on a help subject nothing happens and it doesn’t expand for further explanation. When doing a deposit you can’t input cent amounts. You can’t edit a deposit amount if you put the wrong amount in, you have to start over with a new envelope and can’t delete the one you messed up on. Like I said I love the simplicity but the issues have made me incredibly frustrated.

Just what I needed!!

My wife and I spent months looking for a budgeting platform or application. We ended up just using Quickbooks Pro (2021). However, we don’t use it correctly because we do the envelope system through their software which isn’t designed for that. It forces us to create new “banks” and it can be very time consuming and tedious to balance the budget. I’ve tried Every Dollar as well, but it left a lot to be desired. Needless to say, this app is literally perfect for what we were looking for. The only con that I have with this app is that there is no login system. If I were able to create an account and share it with my wife, we could both view our budget from each of our cell phones. Overall, for $5 you get a lifetime access to this software, and that’s beyond generous and helpful. Most companies want you to pay a recurring fee. If you’re struggling with money and need some organization in your life, get this app. In the words of Dave Ramsey, “you are the boss of your budget when you make the budget, but after that, the budget is the boss of you.”

Perfectly simple but exactly what I need

This is #5 on apps I’ve tried, and it is 1000% worth the $3 to buy the full version! I just have been needing to keep track of each of my spending categories instead of on paper or in excel and this is perfect. Don’t need a million extra things and don’t need to link my account, just need to stick to my budget. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for an app but had to for this. So glad I found this!

Good but could be a bit better!

Hello! Just writing to say I love a lot about the app, such as the ability to add memos to the deductions and the dollar amount at the top. However, I have been noticing some things that I really wish were different. One is that there is nowhere to see what your original total was. I think it would be really helpful to see how much I would be spending per month if I spent everything in each envelope. Perhaps at the top if it was not just the amount left, but something like original amount/amount left, that would help with budgeting a lot. I was able to see the original amount before the month started, but then I realized I needed to add more envelopes, and couldn’t remember how much the total would be. Also, I wish there was a way to save each month rather than just deleting or resetting. That would help with tracking trends as well. What also has been bugging me a lot is that editing in this app is really hard. I have a really hard time with changing the amount in the envelope after I have created the envelope. Sometimes I realize I should have accounted for something else or want to divide one envelope into two, and most of the time I just end up starting over. I feel this could be made much easier.

Does what I wanted but I have a question

I like this app to help me track different categories or funds I have in 1 savings account. I do have a question and I just did the update. When I am in an envelope looking at transactions I can only go back so far. I would like to be able to see all transactions.

You can only add 3 envelopes - updated review

I like the app so far, easy to use. However, the free version only allows 3 envelopes which I. Think is a bit stingy 😳😳 Please make an update so that we can have 4 or 5 envelopes in the free version please! :)——I just realized the paid version is just $5 and only a one time fee! So that’s worth buyin! Changing my review to 5 stars

Maybe be able to have 2 accounts?

I went to version history to get the email address for support. I could not find it. Hopefully you will see this.I love the APP, so easy to deposit and withdrawal to keep balance up to date in each envelope and the combined account.SUGGESTION:I would LOVE to be able to separate my Saving’s account from my Checking account! I got nervous when I saw my balance in my bank app and it did not match the Envy app. I then realized I needed to subtract my savings balance from the combined total.

Great app

Love the simplicity of this app. We don’t want to carry cash around but wanted to still utilize the envelope system. This is the best app so far. One thing I would love to see is the ability to sync across multiple devices. So my husband and I could both see real time balances of our envelopes.

Awesome for sinking funds!

I love using this app to keep track of my sinking funds. I especially love all the color choices for organizing and how easy it is to use in general, even right from the start. I would love to have the ability to move my envelopes into the exact order I choose in a future update. Since I use this to keep track of my sinking funds, I wish I was able to drag and drop the envelopes down to the bottom of my list once they are fully funded. Otherwise a wonderful app for an excellent price!

I finally found THE app

I’ve gone through all the budgeting apps literally at least 30. All of them wanted my back information, didn’t offer digital envelopes, or was just over complicated! I needed an app that I could have 5-10 categories on that was easy to use and didn’t require me to put in all my bills and total salary. Nobody uses envelopes for an electric bill or mortgage payment - we use envelopes for the categories that have variations of spending! This was perfect for me. Great app!
