User Reviews for Endless Paper

great app

for now, this is probably the best infinite canvas out there for handheld devices. I've read other reviews and it's unfortunate that some users had issues with saved work. but there's a backup feature now. sometimes the app crashes but I don't lose anything other than a few brush strokes. the app is 'deliberately simple' but I wish it wasn't. I crave tools that will enable me to do more complex things with my imagination. I literally have to import a line image and draw over that for reference. or import a circle image for drawing a nice circle, etc. having a bucket tool or line tool and bezier tool would make this app even more amazing. in any case, I love the app for the most part. just wish those things would be implemented.

Great to finally see maintenance and improvements

This intriguing app does an amazing thing, but it has some real limitations which prevent me from relying on it. On the plus side, it really is infinite, infinitely wide and also infinite zoom in both directions. And it seems stable. It has not crashed on me or lost my information yet. The new color selection, added recently, is a welcome addition! But what limitations! There is only the one file, which is the infinite canvas. You can’t close the file and start a new one. I understand that in theory you don’t need multiple files if you have infinite space inside your one file. But I’d like to be able to back up my work. For that reason, I’ve only played with this app, never used it for anything long term because I don’t feel secure against catastrophic data loss.

No selecting tool

I just bought this app and as it seems you are using the native tool set that apple has for pencil, but 2 very important thing are missing the first one, please can you add the selection tool? It is very important as you can save a lot of time selecting and duplicating an item, and 2, not as important as the first one, please allow to snip the tool menu to other side of the screen, for example I’m left handed and it is more comfortable to me to have the tools on the right side of the screen, thanks, hope to hear soon from youThis is a little frustrating and disappointing. This app is not the cheapest one by far and yet aside from those comments I also discover when you export a file is a jpg with very bad resolution, I can,t share my sketching with my work colleagues with this image quality...

Groundbreaking, but desperately needs a few features

This app is one of a kind with it’s infinite zoom. It enables a never before possible way of advanced thought mapping. It needs these few features to become a recommendable at it’s price point. I think it with these it will become extremely popular.- iCloud file saving and syncing across multiple devices- Multiple file / canvass management- Path selection tool to move, cut, copy, paste drag, and resize paths.Other would-be-nice features- Cleaner line rendering ( no need for fancy brushes )- Selection of path and turning i into links that jump to other places (bookmarks) on the canvass by tapping on the path. and link click history. To developer, this app should be 100x more popular than it is. I hope you can implement these features soon, so i can feel this app is totally worth the price and recommend it to others. Best wishes!

Paradigm shifter

Endless Paper is everything advertised and more. The developers are responsive, helpful, and looking to the future — interested in the ideas of users. Very quick turnaround-time answering my questions. It’s like an individual or team whiteboard that gives you endless access to space for drawing, writing notes, including ability to drag & drop images from elsewhere — but it also works as a presentation tool. It helps you think outside the box as you explore the uses of the Bookmark function.Worth the money!

Many important, basic features are missing

I was excited by the concept of this app as I’ve often wanted an “infinite canvass” for note taking. This app delivers that... and nothing else. The writing/drawing tools are very poor compared to other apps, especially if you’re used to the simple but very good tools built into the Apple Notes app. The pen-like tool is too fine a point for my tastes, and apparently can’t be resized! The brush feels very “heavy” and draws extremely fat lines with even a slight amount of pressure, and again can’t be resized. The eraser is tiny... and can’t be resized. Very frustrating to use. There is no selection tool to move previously drawn elements around. For an app that is based on organizing things spatially I can’t imagine why this isn’t a core feature. Finally, the app only gives you one “canvass”. Sure, if you’re taking notes about multiple subjects you could zoom out and scoot over to an empty space, having multiple documents/notes pages seems like table stakes for a modern app.I’m pretty disappointed.

Don’t pay for this

Cool concept and has some utility but in the end you can’t trust this app to retain important info (like your notes for work or school), and customer support is completely non-existent. To that end, this app is ultimately just a scribble toy and not worth paying any fee for it. I’d been using the app for a few months as a portable white board for work and had tons of notes in it. Then about a week ago the app froze while I was trying to take a screen shot. No big deal, it happens, but what was hugely disappointing was when I closed and relaunched the app for some unknown reason the entire thing jumped back in time by at least a couple weeks. It was like someone hit the undo button 10,000 times and redo was not an option. At least a week of notes and work gone in a snap. Again, if I ‘lost’ the last few minutes before a crash I could understand that, but a week plus?!?! Unacceptable. I’ve reached out to the customer support email address provided within the app but that was a waste of time, still no response over a week later. Would love to get my $10 back but probably not happening. Recommend avoiding this one until Epiphanie matures into a real developer / vendor.

Needs Lasso to move things around.

Great idea, great start. Agreed, a whiteboard usually has multiple dry erase markers in multiple colors. All you can do is erase. Endless paper does that. For me, it’s useless without at least a Lasso that allows you to move something around. A Lasso can do much more than that (see Good Notes 5), but the most important is move. So please provide this first, rather than trying to add a lot of features to it. I would also prefer to have multiple named Endless Papers to keep things organized. Yes, the bookmarks work great. This will become important to me when a Lasso is added just to move things around.

Truly reimagined idea-capturing on iPad

With its fractal-like note taking, you feel like you gain a whole new dimension on your 2D iPad screen. It's like Google Earth of your thoughts, you start with the big picture and you can zoom in down to the smallest detail and then back to the big picture and see how details come together. App works very smooth and hand rejection while writing with Apple Pencil is great. Design is very minimalistic, which let's you see your work and not the app. You can bookmark different views/details of your creation. This app will inspire you to develop your ideas farther than you could with white boards, post-it notes or whichever other method you use, check it out, I gladly recommend it.

Only ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because…

…we can’t cut and paste!!! 😢I am so grateful to have found this app. It’s perfect for me because i think spatially and even though I love GoodNotes and Notability E.P. Scratches that itch of being able to write and draw anywhere. Bookmarks working great for me too. Make sure you use those or you might lose something in the endless white space.Recently I downloaded a similar app, one that has “endless” zoom ins and outs. Endless Paper has them beat when it comes to that, however this other app blew me away with the cut and paste ability and also edit like in GoodNotes or Notability. If E.P.ahead this ability I would rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Please please please implement this feature 🙏

Description

** Please note that Endless Paper requires an Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon, other styluses are not supported. ** Introducing Endless Paper, an all-new kind of App featuring an infinite canvas which lets you take handwritten notes, sketch diagrams, explore and grow ideas visually, brainstorm with your team, organize your thoughts spatially, and so much more… Deliberately simple yet powerful, incredibly fast, Endless Paper is as natural to use as pen & paper without the limitations of physical medium. Whether you're an engineer needing to visualize a problem, a designer wireframing your next UI, a student taking notes, a teacher giving captivating lectures, a manager brainstorming on the next big thing with your team, a scientist working on long formulas, Endless Paper is the ideal tool to help you think and communicate visually. Highlights: • Infinite canvas • Spatial organization • Broadcast your whiteboard on the web • Designed & optimized for iPad & Apple Pencil • Powered by Fractile: Metal-accelerated, 64-bit vector rendering engine • Drag & Drop of images • Color wheel with nearly 120 hand-picked colors & Advanced HSB Chooser • Bookmarks to quickly retrieve your content • Toolbar optimized for two hands operations • Presentation mode with support for Bluetooth remote/clickers • Unlimited undo and redo • Continuous auto-save The Best Whiteboard Have you ever started to sketch an idea on paper only to find out you won't have enough room to finish?

With Endless Paper, you will never have to re-start from scratch on a blank page, to erase your whiteboard to make room, or, more importantly, to limit yourself because of the lack of space. Every big idea starts small, and we know how fragile nascent ideas can be, so we deliberately designed a malleable tool that encourages exploration when you need it the most, when your ideas are the most vulnerable. Organize your Content Spatially Spatial organization is prevalent in our daily life: your kitchen, your desk, the city you live in, are all organized spatially. A calendar is time turned into space. Yet most of our digital tools deprive us of this profoundly humane organization method. Thanks to its unique infinite canvas, Endless Paper lets you organize your content spatially. You can focus on the minute details of your project and quickly step back to see the big picture. It gives a sense of place to your work without artificial separation between document management and the documents themselves. Everything you can do on the document level can be done at any level. It all just works in a surprisingly consistent way. Worth a Thousand Words Import images directly onto your canvas. Make your notes come alive. Collect ideas in mood boards. Take pictures and pin them. Import study material, stickies, or that paper template you rely on. Endless Paper supports drag & drop from Photos, Files, Safari...just about any app really. Deceptively Simple, Incredibly Powerful Endless Paper is designed to be natural to use. But this is no purposeless minimalism. Interactions are as simple as possible in order to minimize errors & cognitive load. This lets you dedicate 100% of your brain to the task at hand. Interactions feel second nature, especially important in stressful situations or when you hand over your iPad to someone who has never used the App before. And in case you made a mistake, you have unlimited undo & redo and everything saves automatically. Designed for iPad & Apple Pencil The tailor-made Fractile vector rendering engine delivers unparalleled level of performance: Whenever you are panning, zooming or writing, you always get ultra-crisp, retina quality, vector rendering at a silky smooth 120fps, even with millions of strokes simultaneously on screen. Canvases accumulating years’ worth of notes will open instantly. No sweat. It all participates in an almost unreal, magical experience.
