Worth the time

‌‍ As everyone already knows, you name it & there's an app for that - apps are a dime a dozen & most of them are completely worthless. I tried this app out and found it to be professional, based on current material, and capable of going the distance.The test question bank was large enough to actually help practice the NREMT test - unlike other apps it did not start repeating questions after the first practice exam. After taking the 2021 NREMT-Basic exam I can say the practice questions from this app accurately reflected the material in the questions on the NREMT exam. This was the only test app that I tried that even came close to the actual exam

‌‍ 1st attempt and passed ‎‏

This is a really helpful app and asked questions in a similar style to the NR. It even asked questions that the book I used in class only glossed over. I even recommended this app to my classmates who haven’t tested yet. Showed this app to my instructor and she liked it and will be recommending it to her students as an extra aid. But reading my class book and learning things from paramedics helped out. ‍‍‍

Misleading

This app is fine for anyone seeking to become an EMT-B. However, I answered a couple hundred paramedic level questions and did not encounter a single question specific to paramedic skills or knowledge. Instead, all were at the EMT-B level. This app seems to have intentionally dishonest so as to mislead people who select “Paramedic” (or AEMT) at the skill selection screen. I give it 2 stars for what it is, but deduct 3 for the dishonesty. I purchased this app and now will have to debate whether I want to spend more money to prepare since the creators of this app weren’t transparent with their product. I only recommend this if you’re going for EMT-B.

Better apps out there

I got this app to review for the NREMT, and I should have read up on other apps before purchasing this one. Many of the questions are incomplete, or have typos or parts of the words missing. There are a lot of repeat questions in the same quiz, and it feels like most of the questions are copied and pasted from the internet, and quite a few of the explanations of answers are either not helpful (just repeating the question), or nonexistent. Overall, it’s adequate, but there are definitely better options out there.

Don’t waste your time.

I was really hoping this app would help out. Having an app with “1700” questions with me constantly sounded amazing but they ask one or two question at least twice in the same test. They also have DIFFERENT ANSWERS for the same question. 90% of the questions have an explanation on why this is the answer.. but then 50% of the explanation just asking the question again. I wish I would have just paid for EMT prep and not this app.

This is probably the best budget friendly investment you could make in studying for the NREMT. With how fast paced and on the go life is, pocket prep offers a way to study on your electronic devices that will help improve your score and your knowledge of the material. It provides in depth explanations for answers, on why it is correct and to why it is wrong. I also love that it kept track of my progress and gave me an idea on what areas I needed to improve in and what areas I was strongest in. I also loved that the questions, scenarios, and explanations came from my EMT textbook, so I knew they weren’t just drawn out of a random generator. I can honestly say that this will help you pass with flying colors (Just took my test and passed) and with confidence! I say BUY IT, TRY IT, and find that it is WORTH IT!‍‎ ‏

False advertising

I am rating this low simply because it keeps giving me the notification it is 40% off but it is still the same $99 when I click on it. If the price is $99 just say that and dont keep trying to trick people

Ugh!

I really liked this app at first, but I am trying to finish all questions before I take my NREMT. This app reduces the number of questions you have left every time you answer a new question. The problem is, it keeps giving me the same questions over and over that I have gotten right multiple times. It should only repeat the ones you get wrong. It starts to get frustrating when you are working for hours to get through the questions.

Great app except…

I am preparing for my national exam next week and have been using other apps in addition to this one. I do like how this app is set up and the questions are phrased differently, which will help for retention and on test day. However, there are a LOT of spelling errors and flat out missing words that can cause you to answer incorrectly because you don’t know what it’s asking (word missing). The spelling errors are things like expect instead of except, among other things. Not a deal breaker by any means but the cost of the app definitely does not lend itself to the obvious lack of proof reading.

Typos.

I love the idea and while I do find the free quizzes helpful- there is no way I would spend near $100 for an app with so many typos in the questions! Wrong words are in the questions, incorrect grammar, poor spelling, etc. I appreciate the app for what it is, but if you’re wanting to charge me $100 for unlimited access, it needs to be better.
