If iphone notes has attachment you can’t share /save with DS Note. The DS Note won’t have attachment after you sent it. Only text will go. If you open iPhone attachment in ios Notes and then try to save /share with DS Note then it’s not even an option to use DS Note. Will be great tool if you can use it along/between any platforms: ios, androids
I wanted to use DS note as my go to for note taking and my main requirements is that it allow for pasting from web based sources I’ve copied. I’m only copying and pasting text. For what ever reason DS Note can’t always complete such a simple task. Every other note application I’ve tried can. Maybe in the future this will be fixed. If all you are doing is jotting down shopping lists and to do lists it works fine but not in the method mentioned above.
Looks like the big this update was supposed to fix (2 years ago?) is back or was not actually fixed. Symbology, do you have plans to provide updates or is this it?
I’m coming from DropBox Paper and Google Docs. This app is excellent for notes, especially when they need to be private on a secure cloud.I’m wondering if the developers can fix a few things:- styles only work when clicked twice- styles get removed easily after hitting return to make a new line- styles take over previous text after hitting return sometimes- there isn’t a way I can find to “update” style headers with new fonts and sizes- would like the ability to install custom fontsThank you for making a great app!
Although the NAS system’s updated constantly, the related apps haven’t & this has been causing syncing or connection issues. Please apply the new system updates & fix these apps! How are we supposed to work effectively this way, especially remotely now due to outbreak circumstances?
This has really come a long way and has become good enough that I could finally give up Evernote. My favorite feature is the task feature.
There have been ongoing bugs with the iOS app for a couple of years and Synology does not seem motivated to update the app. Some of the iOS bugs include: - You cannot use the arrow keys to move around when using a Bluetooth keyboard. It works in the subject line, but not the note itself. Very annoying when trying to edit a note. - When cutting and pasting in a note, the font often changes. I always leave the note in the default font, but there are often font changes after cutting and pasting. To fix this, you often need to go back to the browser interface and correct the font issues. - When cutting and pasting in a bullet list, you often get “phantom” bullets that are very hard to get rid of. - The palette of colors available in the iOS app are pathetic. They are dark and muddy and difficult to read the words that have been highlighted. The palette in the web browser is very nice.Unless it is a very simple note, I tend to just use the browser interface on my iPad. The main downside of doing this is it only works when online.
I migrated from Evernote to DS Note. Starting to regret it… I use DS Note both browser version and the iPad app. The iPad app experience is particularly lousy. I emailed Synology with some recommendations/requests included arrow key support for Bluetooth keyboards. No reply. Is there even a team still working on this? TConsidering moving back to Evernote.
It's so close to being a great in-house solution to quickly sync and share info between all my devices. It's just annoying I can't manually sort the order of the ToDo checklist and sub-checklist items via drag and drop or something along those lines. You’re limited to the predefined choices.
This is such an annoying app. I really isn’t worth using, especially when compared to OneNote, Apple Notes & Evernote. I really, really wanted this app to work because I take A LOT of notes and have a Synology NAS. This app needs to be re-engineered to be inline with the other popular note taking apps.
**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the Note Station 1.1 to get the complete set of features** Whether for creating your weekly to-do list, sharing information on projects with your teammates, or simply describing your best holiday memories, DS note’s editing features make it easy and pleasant to take note of anything you want, anywhere you need, even with no network. Use tags, notebooks and shortcuts to organise all your notes, and share them instantly with anyone you want. And that’s always safe as DS note keeps it all in sync with your note library on your Synology NAS server, your personal cloud.
