Amazing app

This app is so fun and engaging your kids can learn a whole bunch of new things! And it totally gives them inspiration in their creativity! I’m a user and I’m speaking from experience, this app is awesome and it helps kids find other people who like the same things and then I get so happy when I get even one more follower and it engages me to get more followers by posting more and more things! And this app is so supportive of anyone! and tbh ITS THE BEST THING IVE EVER DOWNLOADED (btw I’m not lying It the best) and I’m not some jerk parent that thinks this is the worst app because you have to pay for it. There is different settings and you can have a free trial for 14 days and you can cancel the subscription and even have up to 4 kids on the same account so you’re not paying for 4 different kids. It’s awesome and it definitely boosts kids confidence and yeah that’s all so I totally recommend downloading this app! OH AND ALSO… there is these adults on DIY that moderate stuff so it’s not inappropriate and is super nice and they delete things that are inappropriate ASAP so no kids can have access or can see things you don’t want you’re kids to see - a person who uses this app 😁😄😃😀❤️❤️❤️❤️

I used to love DIY back in 2019 until around the beginning of 2021 DIY was so much better back when it was called jam and back in 2019 and 2021 on the App Store they are still putting it like it used to be a app for kids to explore and create and stuff but here’s what I don’t like about it there has been a ton of challenges saying you can win a Apple Watch if you win this contest I just honestly don’t like it because kids aren’t doing it for the creativity anymore they’re doing it for the prize and I feel like they could be bribing the kids to do the challenges in away because the more kids just like to post now for like popularity and to get more followers and most like TikTok there is no cussing on here so it is a little bit better but there also was this one account with the name of Ted and then a few numbers that I can’t remember and they were posting not appropriate pictures and not fully clothed people it was so bad and the mods didn’t ban them until like a week or five days later so it’s just changed a lot there’s a way that you can when are ukulele on there and when a Rubiks cube and honestly it’s just ridiculous and then somehow there’s also a way to stop hunger and stuff and I did that and I was supposed to get an email about it saying that it was complete and I never did :(

Money

I really wanted to download this app so I could get better at my realistic drawings and learn all the tips and tricks for game like Minecraft and roblox! Now, don’t get me wrong, this seems like a wonderful app, but I tried to open some videos for Minecraft and it said I had to sign up or sign in and get 2 weeks free but then I had to pay. Obviously, I’m just a kid and I don’t have my bank account set up to my phone and I wasn’t going to beg my parents to let me just for me to not gain any talent what so ever (because let’s be honest, how many times have you seen a tutorial on something and actually been good at it). I didn’t want to pay money, I just wanted to learn how to draw. This still seems like a really great app for kids and sometimes even parents! But I deleted it because I didn’t want something taking up storage that I wasn’t using. I hope other people who are willing to pay enjoy this! Thanks 😊

Not worth it

I used to be REALLY into DIY. It was simple and fun. But then they started coming out with new updates, like an update where you were encouraged to log in every day and you would get a sticker or something that you could use when you posted a picture. I obsessed over this, and I spent a LOT of time on DIY, making sure my posts were getting liked and featured, and that I was getting new followers. My parents got really frustrated, because this was the type of unhealthy relationship that they were told DIY would prevent. I started taking pictures of Disney characters, and giving them a "modern day makeover". I got good at it, but the mods were convinced that I took the drawings from the internet, and that they weren't my own work, no matter how many times I explained that I had done the drawing. It was these two things that made me leave DIY. It's not worth the money. -HappyDancer07, a former DIY user

I love this app

Okay, so this app is really fun and I love doing it because most people don’t get to be online so much and I don’t get to be outside so much and online so I download a DIY for one reason is because I could make friends on there I could have fun and I’ve been in DIY for only just a month in DIY has been a dream. If I never download a DIY, my life would be lost and you should download DIY right now if you don’t want to get Wednesday is going to be on your bed. By the way did you DIY free? for this app and thank you the people that made it and thank you everybody for joining this app. I hope everybody has a fun time on this app and this app is the best you have to download it all the people that say mean things don’t believe them okay just be positive and download this app right now. Bye thank you

Yes. But no.

For starters, I love DIY. I love the people on there, the challenges and yeah. But there are a couple things that the DIY developers can fix. One, so many people are leaving this app. Most reasons I saw were “my friends are leaving” so people that leave are effecting other DIYers leaving too. This is a problem for me. Because soon, no one is going to be on DIY very very soon. Second, I don’t like the groups people are making. It makes me feel absolutely horrible to see a bunch of DIYers in a group making fun stuff and chatting, and they won’t let you join. I bet this makes other people feel left out as well. I have more reasons. I will explain them later but those are my main reasons of 4 stars. - mysterious DIYer (did not leave, figure who I am) ✌️

Don’t get me wrong…

I love the app! Great app, I’ve always wanted something like this but, I decided to get DIY plus and I bought it, the free trial started, I even got a purchase confirmation email from Apple telling me I bought it. Why won’t it work then? Yes I tried restore purchases but it won’t load when I click the restore button. So that isn’t working either. Although I understand why it’s there, I wish that DIY plus didn’t keep you from liking things or doing challenges or following people. I understand posting videos. But most of all I would LOVE to change my profile picture. I feel like that most of all should be free. Sorry to keep you this long, but like I said great app just a few thing that I wish worked differently.

concerned-ish...

heyy so i might delete this because well... i just don't want to come off rude or something, but here goes nothing-DIY is an amazing website/app, i've had it for almost 3 years :) But i do have some concerns, DIY (it even says in the introduction) if for 6-16. Now i've come across a profile of someone over 16 (not an adult but still older these the targeted audience) There are people under 13 commenting and stuff on his posts, now this may just be me but- it just comes off as weird. I don't want to be quick to judge but it's also not like he posts a talent (like drawing, writing, etc.) All he does is post photos of himself and other teenage boy things. I was analyzing his profile and I see one of the mods saying that they took down two of his posts for not being fully clothed and guns/weapons. Now the weapon thing doesn't concern me too much (unless it was in a graphic way) but not being fully clothed??? I don't know about you but that seems like a MAJOR red flag, even if he's just posting himself without a shirt, keep in mind most of the users on here are MINORS, CHILDREN, and PEOPLE UNDER THIRTEEN. Shouldn't he be on something like Instagram or TikTok?? Now I don't want to be quick to judge but i've also noticed a lot of the things he likes are photos of girls. That is concerning to say the least. Guys i'm not 100% about this stuff but still, take this into consideration if you ever see this. Thanks again, a DIY user.

Great, but could use some editing.

The new D.I.Y is a wonderful app. I love the community, the rules, just everything and everyone. BUT, that dose not mean this app is perfect. No app is perfect. My first suggestion is to actually give penalties to rude D.I.Yer’s. They are out there, you know. There are also some things I would like to be added back. On the original D.I.Y you could search of usernames, posts, etc. but on the NEW D.I.Y there isn’t an option to do that. PLUS, now you even need photo library access to do challenges. Here’s another thing; posts take LONGGGGG to compress/upload. Anyway, that’s it for now. But don’t get me wrong, this app is great! It just needs some editing, like any other app. :) Thank you D.I.Y for responding to others comments and mine as well. I won’t do an email for now, but thanks!

I used to love the app but it started going downhill and just kept rolling

Hey it’s ThePurplePandaDragon/Flowerciten/Ex jr mod here and don’t get me wrong I used to LOVE this app but it just started going downhill and it just kept rolling down it, first of all I submitted a form to get my challenge on diy and I finally saw it was on diy so I was kind of excited but then I clicked it and saw that they ABSOLUTELY BUTCHERED WHAT I PUT IN THE FORM, I don’t even get why they give us the option to put the desc we want in the form if they are gonna take it and make it TOTALLY DIFFERENT!! Another thing is they got rid of all the little things that made diy fun like, the xp leaderboard, mentors, the donate to an important cause in diy shop and lots more. Another thing is ALMOST ALL MY DIY FRIENDS left diy bc of very similar reasons. I wish I could say this is a good app but it just isn’t, in my opinion I don’t think it deserves even one star it deserves -5 stars but sadly that isn’t an option, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS APP. Goodbye diy I won’t miss you ✌️ -ThePurplePandaDragon/Flowerciten/Ex jr mod
