Solid but could improve

My biggest gripe about what is otherwise an outstanding app is that you can’t determine where in your collection a particular album is alphabetized. So, if you prefer to alphabetize your physical collection by last name, there is no way to have your digital collection in Discographic to correspond with that. It’d be awesome to have a “File under:” feature that lets the user determine how things are organized.

Great - but how to get back from Discogs app?

Hi - love the interface and ease of Discographic - but when your app sends me to the Discogs app (to check for sale items or anything else) you don’t seem to be able to toggle back to Discographic easily. Swiping right doesn’t work. There is no “back” button either. The only option is to hard quit out of Discographic to get back into that app again. How do I do this?

Needs iPad Compliance

Let me first start by stating that I’ve been using Discographic since almost the beginning. It’s generally a wonderful app that does exactly what I want it to do. The phone app is great for what it is.That said, I use Discographic to do more than simply keep track of my collection, or use it when bin picking (which I actually don’t do all that often because I find it tedious and almost always completely unproductive in finding releases I’m interested in). I actually use album data in different ways. Although the phone app is great for this (I’ve stuck with Discographic, as opposed to any of the competing Discogs Apps, because of the ways in which it presents the data), I tend to NOT be using my phone when needing access to this data. I’m on my iPad. And on the iPad, the Discographic experience isn’t great. In fact, it’s pretty terrible, which means I either need to manually switch to my phone or use a browser to access album data which is inefficient and less optimal. You can’t copy paste between devices, and having to manually enter data on a different device is cumbersome at best.So I’m requesting full iPad compliance. I want to see album art on a bigger screen. Want access to data in ways that make sense on the device I most use it on.Give me a fully iPad compliant app, and Discographic jumps immediately to 5 stars.

A great way to catalog your CD’s

If you use the online site in conjunction with this app, you have a great way of tracking your cd collection as it grows. And you have a way to learn more about the artists you enjoy and their recorded output. Plus you can purchase releases you never knew existed through the marketplace. The most recent update seems more cosmetic but is certainly appreciated. App stability has been very good to date.

Best music collector app available

This is a fantastic app. I’ve tried many music cataloging apps with little success. The only other app that was even remotely worthwhile was the official Discogs app (for the best music database for collectors). Yet the app was also wonky at best and would often freeze or crash while using it. The official Discogs app was inconsistent and often frustrating. The solution? This wonderfully designed app. It has perfect Discogs integration and even better features. It makes music collecting even more fun. This is a must-have app for anyone serious about music and vinyl.

New update...

I love this app I use it everyday! The new update took away the “Notes” and put “List It” I used the notes a lot and I loved the placement where it was is there a way to be able to choose what you can have there?

Great

Love this app and use it all the time. My biggest issue before was the inability to scrobble compilations, and I just tested out the new update and I’m happy to say it worked great.I am having issues here and there with the display, and a big issue just popped up where the app logged me out of Discogs. I was able to get back in and reauthorize the app. As with any app update there are always some kinks here and there, but as I type this, things seem to have smoothed out.

The best app I’ve found for managing my collection

I’m on the trial right now but so far it is a breeze to use and much more user friendly than the Discogs app. I’m most likely buying it when the trial is up. One thing I wish we could do in this app is if a user is inside a specific folder, then I could be able to randomize a record within that folder. Another great feature would be to have a way to add records within my collection to multiple folders/genres/categories. Right now it works the same way Discogs does which has always been limiting for me.Thanks for an amazing app!

Great handy and useful Discogs app.

This is my favorite Discogs app that I’ve used. There is a good all around ease of use and overall look of the app and layout. Searching for releases is easy and typically a quick task, depending on the release of course. The integration of your folders is better than the other apps in my opinion. Super handy to have in your pocket when at record stores. Developer pays attention to user feedback and makes improvements. *after a response of developer answering if paying again for the all new updated version was a one time fee and not a monthly subscription, this continues to be my choice on how to access Discogs.

Awesome, but...

This is the definitive Discogs app and I love the recent series of updates. However - my biggest ongoing frustration are with the sorting features. The implementation / interface is great, but it just doesn’t work consistently. I’ll change the sort for a title and it will continue to be in the same (incorrect) spot. This is a maddening bug that never seems to get corrected. Outside of that, this App is A+
