A must for your old iPads

We all have giant photo libraries these days with old photos that we rarely get to see. Being able to see those memories always on display is a treat — and this app is *the* way to do it.I tried a number of other apps to turn my old iPads into photo frames; here’s why this one is head and shoulders above the rest:- iCloud Photo Library support. This is a must, and with Shared Photo Library in iOS 16, my partner and I can take photos and see them playing on the iPad without ever having to manually select and send photos anywhere. It’s seamless — and better than you’d get even with dedicated photo frame devices.- Tons of customization. Choose any duration you want, how photos should be scaled, whether or not to play videos, and one of my favorites — animate live photos once when they appear, then just show them as still. A nice way to catch your eye when a new photo appears but not be distracting.- Show image metadata like location and date simply and elegantly, which adds a whole level of context that makes your photos mean even more.- Supports the newest screen sizes and features. I use it with a 12.9” iPad Pro and there are so many slideshow apps that still have awful scaled-up displays. The UI here is clean, attractive, and it all looks “right”.Best of all, it all just works! I can set it up the way I want, and then just leave it alone.

This app is everything!!!!

Ohhhhh I cannot begin to explain how happy I am to have found this app!!! I’ve been driving myself mad trying to find a digital frame with the functionality I am looking for, when really all I needed was my old iPad, a cute frame, and this app!!!! Ridiculously easy to set up whatever slide show you want with many options and you can do it from the albums you already have without having to load them on a memory card or send them to some email address… Go ahead and buy it because the lifetime access at $25 is worth every penny. Much better than some $150 digital frame that is just meh.

Works great - even on old iPad 2

My old iPad 2 still works but the more modern apps don’t work with it anymore and my uses for it for dwindling. But I hung on to it because it’s a memory of my mom who passed away in 2019. She had used it a lot of some games. An idea occurred to me to see if I could find an app for the old iPad 2 to use it as a digital photo frame. Fortunately I came across this app. It downloaded and booted which was cool. Alas it cost me a cool $25 for the lifetime membership. But just for the app being able to work on an ancient iPad 2 made it work it for the memories I can display on it for as long as the iPad 2 still works. I have the app on my iPad Air 2 now in case I want to use it in the future. Good jobs in keeping compatibility across all devices.

Fantastic for even older iPads!

I have an older iPad Mini that I wanted to show photos & live weather info by my front door. So I searched and searched and tried lots of apps, but couldn’t find anything that wasn’t scammy junk or would work on my older iPad. Even some apps I thought might work would crash after a day or two. Not this app! I’ve been running it non-stop 24/7 on my iPad Mini and it’s fantastic. It has excellent options and works perfect. The one feature request I’d like is if newly added photos to an album would automatically show up in the rotation. I believe I currently have to exit the slideshow and start it again, at least that’s what I’ve observed. My use case is that I show my Favorites from iCloud and would like them to show up after I hit favorite on any other iCloud device. Kudos to helping an older iPad have a new, useful life!

Amazing!!!

I had been searching around forever for an app to display my photos from a shared album since the apple version doesn’t work well and this is it! Plays videos, live photos, and normal photos seamlessly. Lots of options within the app to customize how you want them played too. And IF you run into any problem (unlikely) you can contact the developer (Manuel) and he is super nice, very responsive, and willing to work with you to resolve it and even push out an update if needed. I am super happy with this app and totally recommend it!!!

Perfect for digital picture frame

This app is perfect, it does everything you’d want a slide show app to do. But have 1 small enhancement request... is it possible to link the photo? In other words, have an icon on each photo, so if I want to go into that photo I can do that? Maybe I want to share a pic on social media etc., so a link like that world be cherry on the cake for me. Currently, I have the date displayed so I know what time frame to go find it. But the quick share link would be a dream feature for me. But even without this dream feature this app is still very well designed! Thanks!

iCloud Photo Library Support makes this One Of a Kind!

Hi Manuel, I want it to display 12 hour time, but it’s stuck on 24 hour, even after force quitting and restarting the app. Would be cool if the text background could be a little more opaque, or maybe an opacity adjustment in settings? Otherwise it’s excellent, and filling a niche that I haven’t seen any other app fill...ESPECIALLY because it supports iCloud Photo Library! Excellent work. I subscribed for a year. I repurposed an old iPad to replace the Google Nest Hub to show photos in the kitchen, because I decided to switch the family to Apple and away from Google.

A great gift for my parents

I purchased an iPad solely as a digital frame for my parents, thanks to the amazing app that I have discovered! This app is loaded with numerous features, but the one that stood out the most was its ability to synchronize with Google Photos. I created a shared folder with all my siblings, and we can all add pictures that automatically show up at my parents' house.Although the app is great, I do have one suggestion. I wish it had an option to display multiple pictures on both sides of a portrait-oriented picture, similar to the Apple Photos app's slideshow mode.

Perfect for my needs

My "retired" iPad 2 and iPad 3 are running 24/7 slideshows from shared albums.I tried Apple Photos built-in slideshow feature, but it would not run continuously. I was restarting each iPad's slideshow daily, sometime twice a day. That was irritating enough to find another solution.This app runs on old iPads and does the job well. I can quickly select a shared album and start the slideshow. The app has many options. I like the flip transition. I set 10 seconds for each picture. I especially like the option to NOT play videos.I prevented my picture-frame iPads going dark by searching for "auto-lock" in the Settings app--change it to "Never".This app has a subscription payment model. I am still in the one week free trial period. It is working just the way I want. For me, it is worth $10 per year.Update, several months later, the subscription has gained value. Two iPods Touch and an iPhone 6 are running slideshows 24/7. The app’s Ken Burns transition helps on those tiny screens. And today I added an old-ish, cracked-screen iPad to the digital picture frame lineup. Six devices. This is a great way to get end-of-life value from old, but still working screens.

Changed How I Use My iPad

This app hands down has changed how I use my iPad. In times when my iPad is just idle I’m able to now make it into a picture frame with my favorite memories from my photo album. This has changed my life because now at my workstation I can have my memories of love ones playing in the background with video and picture. The support team is amazing as well. I reached out just with a suggestion and BAM the suggestion was added to which makes the app that much special and personable to me.
