There is nothing helpful about this application...

I downloaded this application as a requirement from Blue Shield for a weight loss program. Nothing about the application works properly. 1. Meal plans and recipes are not downloaded to anywhere and you cannot create a shopping list from multiple recipes as promised. 2. The application is suppose to link with this FitBit scale they are requiring I use, but there is no way to link it. 3. When attempting to read your DNA report you have to start from the beginning every time you are finished with reading a section, there is no back button or a way to swipe back to the previous page. 4. It requires you to take pictures of your food but half of the time the pictures go missing after you have saved them. 5. Some days it will show your Foods to Avoid and Super Foods and other days it is locked stating “waiting for reports”. 6. It is glitchy, stalls all the time, closes on its own, and logs me out for no reason. 7. It will give you the same dang reminder everyday to log your weight...but it won’t notify you when your next “education” video is available. Honestly there is nothing about this application I find appealing or useful. You can’t even read your $130 DNA results with ease on this application. So what’s the point. Blue Shield makes all of these requirements from this program but does not provide a proper application to execute those requirements.

Works for me

I’ve been doing the Digbi program for 16 months. The thing I think I appreciate the most is the educational videos from the beginning and my food reports. Understanding how my body processes foods and reacts to exercise was an eye opener. I have lost slowly with some up and down but at least I’m not gaining. I am currently 14 pounds away from where my doctor would like me to be. I have struggled with my coaches in the past but I feel like my concerns were listened to and changes were made. I have many food allergies and can’t eat several of the recommended vegetables. I had to repeat that information several times which was frustrating. Overall I think the program has worked for me. I plan on eating this way the rest of my life.

Unreliable

When it works it has too many useless actions. Take a picture of meals? Why? You can’t even see the full contents of the meal. So you have to type in every ingredient and it’s volume. Sorry, but I have no time. And the Tiles are a joke. No accountability. I can say anything and get all green tiles and still blow my diet. Also, it doesn’t work with my iWatch Activity app. So I have to enter my steps and exercise after I find the time. (See earlier time comment). And the Fitbit that was offered had a faulty link that failed. So, after a month or two I quit this app and went to Noom, which is way easier and has great educational content. It’s been over 2 months and I’m still waiting for my gut biome results. Total joke. I deleted and reinstalled this app 3 times. Attempted to update the software and it shut my phone down. Bye Felicia!

Supports lifestyle changes!

I’ve used the Digbi app and coaching for over a year and it’s helped me get healthy. The combination of dna knowledge, gut biome testing, coaching and the app helped me learn how to eat healthy. I’ve lost over 17% of my body weight so far and have dropped my cholesterol out of the danger zone. I no longer have sleep apnea and I’m on my way to no longer being prediabetic. I mostly just work with the app now to track my progress, assist in accountability and get recipes but I know if I start to lose track I can always work with my coach. Healthy eating has finally become natural and intuitive for me. The Digbi program has helped me so much in changing the way I eat and move and I’m enjoying my good health!!

Program maybe good but software needs help

I have been on the program for over 3 weeks now. So far, I haven’t seen any changes in my weight. I like my coach and I’m looking for a more sustainable life style and so I’m ok that it’s taking a while. What I’m not a fan of is their terribly long videos that make it seem like sitting through a seminar 10 years ago and an app that needs help. 1. Each meal gets a score but you don’t get an overall view to see the scores in one page or an average day or weekly score 2. No way to store frequently eaten foods 3. No spell check (not a big deal but is frustrating) 4. Not customizable fasting windows. I do Atleast 18 but their program only shows upto 16. 5. Increase options to pick from in exercise and not have meditation as a separate bubble to pick from daily

Spellcheck, help my old eyes

I use the app pretty religiously. Not until I started taking pics of everything I actually ate, did I see better results. I wish there was spellcheck, the font is pretty small and I always seem to mess up spelling broccoli. I enjoy the fasting tracking. It’s cool to see the countdown to when my eating window opens. I wish it synced with my Fitbit to pull my activity points and sleep data and maybe be able to pull my blood pressure data from my monitor. But it’s easy enough to add in, so not a dealbreaker. I spent a year on WW and gained about 4 pounds after having great success on the program in the past. So I needed to try something different. I’ve been losing, after some up and down. I also wish that weight progress page listed actual weight numbers and not just the graph.6 Month Update: I’ve been able to maintain my weight loss. I’m off my high blood pressure meds and my AC1 numbers decreased. Results are better when you’re consistent with using app and coaching. I’ve fell off a bit with that, but the principles I learned still allowed me to maintain.

Digbi Works

As I get older I knew I needed a little help to lose and keep weight off. I started the beginning of 2021 and was able to lose over 14 lbs over a over a few months. Digbi has definitely helped me learn more about food and specifically how food interacts with me personally through more knowledge of gut health and dna. For a while I stopped recording/reporting my meals and my weight started creeping up. I recently started recording/reporting my meals and it has helped me get back closer to where I was. My coach is very understanding and responsive. Having a coach for Accountability definitely helps me keep on track. I know I need to get more into more of what Digbi offers as I have only take advantage of part of the information they give.Philip

Program works but app needs improvement

I love how the program is customized for every customer based on their genes and gut biome report. My coach is excellent, knowledgeable and very patient. If you’re determined to change your life for the better without making any excuses, this is the weight loss and diabetes prevention program to join. I have joined a couple of other programs and while I lost most of my weight while using another program, I did not really know how to feed myself. Digbi encouraged me to try new foods especially vegetables. My weight is ideal for my height and age. I used to be obese in 2018, stayed overweight for a while and now with BMI below 25, I am in the normal weight category. One more thing... I lost weight just by changing the way I eat and without any cardio. I still have cheat meals every week but then I go back to eating sensibly. I go for 5K walks twice a week and that’s it. I was apprehensive at first and didn’t think I could do it however I was an athlete fit as a fiddle back in high school and college. Getting back to wearing slim and fitted shirts, pants and jackets felt great after decades. I had to change my entire wardrobe 😎🤘

Game changer!

Digbi is such an amazing program! It is a title game changer and what I have been looking for in health care for a long time. Finally, a true holistic approach to health! They looks at everything From your gut biome, right down to your dna to help figure out the best eating style that suits the person best. It is truly unique to the individual at some level! What’s best is it is free if you have Blue Shield! Other providers charge at least $99/mo for this type of service!I love that you get a coach who will guide you and provide you feedback on your meals. She provides suggestions on how I can make my meal more functional which will serve me best health wise.I also love the Facebook group where community where you can share meal ideas, thoughts, questions or just uplift each other. The only thing is that I wish I can get my kids on this program too. I think the sooner they learn about better food choices the better. IKudos and more power to Digbi! May you help more people be more healthy!

Needs some Refinement

The app is a great idea, however there are several small areas in need of improvement. One in particular is when you are adding the description of your food, within the camera function, you can’t scroll down to ensure your description is accurately typed. The only way to see if you typed your description correctly is to go to the gallery, instead of a easy UI section like “Food Journal”, and then see what you typed. However, even if you see that you have typos in your description of the food there is no editing function for the food pictures once posted to your gallery, you can only delete the entire entry. There are other issues, such as when I tried filling out my intake forms through the app it was glitchy, again the app had trouble scrolling down and back up, and the entire app quit twice. (I ended up completing my intake forms through the website on my laptop) Finally, the app just has a lot of room to grow in becoming more intuitive for the user. A fair amount of the app is intuitive, but some of it I’ve figured out only by playing around in the app. Not a bad app, just needs polishing up.
