Hooked & Unhooked &

90% of the time This is my number 1 go to game. I love the pals, kinda like my little buddies and I'll play it every chance I get. I do get frustrated when I need to make a move in a hurry and it locks up. By the time it allows the move it is WAY paste to late. I can't even get a little ahead. After a couple of tries I just quit playing and go on to something else. Those levels take forever to pass and that isn't any fun. I don't mind "not winning" but I need to be given a fair shot at it. Eventually, I think by accident, I'll win that level & whoot whoot I am playing all the time again. I guess I should say thank you for the great, fun to play game. On the flip my house work says thanks cuz I quit playing for awhile.

2 Problems

Overall I enjoy playing, however, there are two problems I have with this game. The first is that the data is not saved in the backup. This means that every time I get a new phone, I have to start the game over from the beginning again. I have tried restoring from backup through both iTunes and iCloud (yes, I made sure that the backup was turned on for this app) and still, I have to start from the beginning on new device. This seems to be an issue with all of the Storm8 games that I have played. I quit playing a few of them because of it. I didn't feel like starting over again. The second issue I have is that there is almost no way to earn gold without buying it. Now, I'm not one to spend money on in app purchases to begin with, but I'm definitely not going to spend money on an app that doesn't even save my progress.

Could be cool and addictive BUT...

I'm rather fond of the matching 3 or more of an item to make drops games, I'm sure y'know the games I'm referring to. This one puts a twist on the common concept by collecting "friends" with special powers related to the goal of each puzzle which, again, I praise the designers for originality but personally I have issues.The game includes a QUICK tutorial at the beginning of each level something is added but it goes so fast and doesn't elaborate well enough for some of these special "friends" and their powers. So you say, hey just replay the tutorial, right! I've looked everywhere with no success. They have a "key" but again if you don't understand the "key" is useless. The FAQ is useless; there is a forum but it's tedious to use.I am willing to concede that my blondness is the true issue🙃. I'm open to any and all correction

Favorite!!

I have played many many different games on my phone and this one is by the best!! If you're like me and binge play a new game, this game will never be boring! I've been playing it everyday for months and there's still more levels. The colors, sounds, and puzzles are addictive. I love how I can choose different characters that may affect the outcome and be rewarded with new ones after so many wins. The only thing that can be frustrating is you only get 5 tries before having to wait for the energy to be restored AND once you get to a Gate it takes 21 hours to wait; however, it's a nice break. Love love love this game!

This game is good however improvements are needed

I have played this game for months on my Mini iPad then I purchased an iPad Air and downloaded the game and I was disappointed to learn that I lost all of the Puzzle Pals and coins that I purchased. This game does not let the user log into Facebook or sync device to a laptop to gain access to current account settings and your purchased treasures instead users will have to start the adventure from the beginning. Another irritating factor about this game is that users have to play each level without knowing what type of monsters or tricks you must defeat to win a level so the user will have to play the level first before determine what is needed to maneuver so basically you will lose a life just to review the level to prepare for what you are up against. Yes, IMPROVEMENTS ARE NEEDED!I am updating my post to to inform gamers that the game developers have not created a way for gamers to learn more about the puzzle pals powers. I believe that the omission of this information reduces game satisfaction.

Not bad.... BUT

I really like matching games, and this one is pretty cool, but... Unlike other games you win nothing. You earn keys to get "pals" but they don't really help they are part of the game and you have to have pals to play. You don't win gold bars and need too many for extra moves, no challenges, no quest (as the name suggest). If you need to reload the game, you go to settings and sign in with Facebook, you might need to play the first few levels but will sync. If your not using Facebook you will lose everything. Some levels are extremely hard to pass which makes the game no fun. They need to add more fun stuff to the game, win a chest of keys and gold, watch an ad movie and win gold bar.... Add something!!!! It will get boring quick. I'm going to uninstall to add a different game, I'll check to see if more fun stuff is added and may reinstall later.

Awesome game

I’ve been playing this game for quite a long time now. It’s really enjoyable. However, I sometimes get really stuck on a level and it takes ages to get past it. Also, I’ve noticed that some reviews are complaining about data loss. If you only play this Storm8 game, then you should try downloading another Storm8 game (I’d recommend Dragon Story). Whenever you lose your phone or need to change it, you can log in your Storm8 account (if you have one) through the other game, since Diamond Quest usually doesn’t offer this option. Your data should be back on both games once you log in. I hope this helps.

Used to really enjoy this game

This is my second review. After playing it for quite awhile, I have gone from really enjoying it to thinking about quitting to play it. As some other people have stated, the levels are ridiculously hard. In fact the level I am on has timers that blow up if you fail to make a match. Not only that, the colors you need to match in order to win don't even have the colors of the jewels needed to match! For example, you need to match 90 yellow and 90 light blue. Well there is usually plenty of yellow, but by the time you use up the moves allowed, you maybe have matched 50 blue, but there is only 1 left!! So of course in order to win, you would have to...guess what?...buy lives!! If that isn't a blatant way to get money from us, I don't know what is!! Also, you only get 5 lives, and once you use those, you have to wait 45 minutes to get just one. This game would be much more popular if it was easier to play.

Love this game. Want more levels

I’ve played all the existing levels of this game. For last year or so I think part of the reason I stuck with it even though it sometimes felt impossible was the fact that ads didn’t play automatically and that storm 8 weren’t constantly advertising their other games as they do on cupcake mania and many of their other games. I suspect that’s because they stopped updating it and I just didn’t notice as I was having fun. I’m disappointed there most likely won’t be more levels. I may go back and replay and try to get more friends. Sigh. I’ve missed this game after reaching the end about a month ago. And—for those who say it’s impossible, I would sometimes play a level for a few days while trying to figure out the friends I needed to beat the level. I didn’t spend much money on this game. It is possible to get to the end without paying or watching ads. It’s supposed to be challenging.

Cute game

I love the match 3 games & I really like this one with added pals you collect to beat levels. I wish there was a better way to learn about each pal's power. Only the ones during the tutorial give you a good overview. I'm finding it hard to move on as well. I went back about 15 levels go get more keys to get more pals but I can't ever seem to get 3 stars on certain levels. I'm way above the level requirement so this can be frustrating. I have also not figured out a way to make friends and exchange gifts. My husband also plays & we both linked to Facebook but the only thing that seemed to do is remove him from the invite friend section. If I go to the mailbox it says I don't have any friends/gifts. The game is still cute & has potential but it could use some improvements.
