The 60 core exercises are split into five categories, each containing three levels of difficulty. The categories cover Warm-Ups, Co-ordination, Ear Training, Stamina and Rhythm, but all will test your left and right hand capabilities to the limit. In addition you can add extra categories via in-app purchases of the David Mead Guitar Gym expansion packs. Expansion Pack 1 adds 48 exercises in four all new categories - Arpeggios, Modes, Cross Picking and the Major Scale. You can design your own custom workout by taking one exercise from each category to practice every day. You can hear the exercises in advance and play along using the tab player and there's an adjustable metronome to keep you rhythmically on track. There's a timer, too, to make sure you perform each exercise for the full two minutes. You can keep a record and view stats for each exercise to help track your progress.
