Love this app

I am just starting my period and this is super easy and super simple just put when you had your period then put how long and boom you are set up This app will tell you how long your period will last and you can tell them what you are felling and what you are experiencing every day throughout your period like your cravings if your happy sad and or mad or feeling cramps back pain and heat flashes and it will even ask you what you are thinkingIf it’s your first time having your period I would tell you to get this app I’m a twin and that means me and my twin sister are both going through the same thing but not at the same time I’m 1 min older then my sister which don’t mean much but I had my period first and she had here period a year after mine so I told her to get this app I told her it is super simple and easy and well is always correct which who does not want it always correct

Almost perfect

This app has everything. I have been able to track symptoms of PMS and adjust my cycle lengths and pms lengths easily. This has helped with collecting data regarding PMDD symptoms for doctors and has helped my partner and me stay aware of when symptoms can start and end. If I could add one thing- it would be great if users were given several symptom options to track (add or takeaway symptoms that don’t feel important or add symptoms that are individual) or the ability to add their own symptoms to the list for simplicity in tracking patterns. Such options/toggles are available for other parts of the cycle like, the ability to add reminders, change tracking data like fertility or ovulation, for example. These options can be changed for preference and the ability to add specific moods or body complications would be really helpful.

Good - but confusing

I was hoping to use the app to track and predict my irregular cycles. The amount of information you can input is awesome- basal body temp, mucus, etc. But it doesn't automatically calculate when your next period will be based off your previous ones you've tracked. You have to input your average cycle length yourself which I find really inconvenient and can be extremely inaccurate. I have to manually count how many days it has been between all of my periods and then add the total days, then divide the total by the number of periods to get the average. It would be so much more helpful if the app did this automatically. Another odd thing is that you can change the current day on the cycle view. Beyond just going back to yesterday to put in information, you can actually change the day to today being the 21st day in your cycle vs the 20th. So again this provides the opportunity for your data to be inaccurate. Other than that, the app is great. It doesn't crash, and it has an easy to use interface.

Not reliable

First, I used this for years and about 6 months ago my data disappeared. Second, when I was adjusting my start date this week, I noticed my data from the last several months was inaccurate. Third, adjusting your start date used to be so simple and easy. Used urn the dial, tap the center, done. Now I turn it and have to choose adjust dates, and it opens up the calendar, and I have to wonder what day it is so I can drag it over to the right date.I am ready to just delete this app. I liked it’s simplicity, but now it feels totally useless.Thankfully I have been using a second app for comparison sake, and that has been much better for accuracy and reliability.I am only giving this a second star because I never paid for it or registered an account (not even sure that used to be a thing to guarantee your data was saved), and because I did like the simple design.

Beautiful App!

I work in tech and am studying ux design and everything about this app is perfect. I’ve used other cycle tracking apps and this one is by far my favorite. No unnecessary bells and whistles but allows you to track everything you need. I think cycle tracking should be taught to all girls when they start menstruating. I’m 31 and it’s crazy how many women I know who are unaware of their cycles and how they work. I use a basal thermometer from a different company and it automatically syncs to my Apple Health app, and in turn is automatically loaded into Cycles. Kind of annoying because I need to keep the other tracking app I have since it syncs to my thermometer - that’s a personal issue and nothing on Cycles 😅

Once you get how to use it, it’s great app

It’s actually a really great app! A lot of bells and whistles but keep playing with it and once you get the hang of it it’s super helpful. Logging the periods is a bit confusing specially when you have irregular periods but I like that it kinda realizes it and will keep pushing the date out until you mark when your cycle officially starts. I also really love how it lets you know what stage you’re in, fertile, pms, etc, story days etc lol I do wish in the mood: “how do you feel” category they add IRRITABLE though cuz it’s not that I’m angry just irritated lol love that there’s a pill taken option and reminders can be set as well. Thinking about getting the insights upgrade but not sure if it will be that much more useful. Def worth giving it a try overall though!

Could be a little better

I have been using the app for several months. I do like it. It has a few features that I don’t like but do keep it for the features it does have. I don’t like that you can spin the wheel and push the middle button and it changes the whole month. It could really cause problems if you are trying to avoid getting pregnant. I also don’t like that it’s not intuitive to the days in your cycle from month to month. If your actual cycle is say 24 days long, even for a few months. It will still show the next cycle with however many days you originally manually put your cycles are (say 26 days.) so it is not intuitive and if you don’t change it manually than the “prediction” of the ovulation day is off by days.

No longer useful

I used to love Cycles. But sadly, 3 years of tracking suddenly gone. A couple months ago, one day all my history was gone. It was like I was opening it for the first time as a new user. Thankfully, by closing the app and relaunching, all my info came back. Over the following few weeks, the same happened off and on. It was a bit annoying but I could live with it. I was hoping it was a glitch that would be fixed. Then, it never came back. I was super sad. I kept trying over several days. Eventually I just decided I would start over, because it’s still so useful. I even had to create a new account. But seriously, every week now all my new logs keep disappearing and I have to keep starting over. It’s no longer a useful tracking app because…um, it won’t track. It now says I’m on day 83 of my current cycle and doesn’t show a single log I’ve entered. I’m done.

Functional- not distracting

I just wanted an app to track my periods, and this app does that wonderfully! It tracks whatever you want it to! The best part about this app (and ultimately why i chose it in the first place) was it’s simplicity. A lot of other period tracker apps have a million other things-including one i had that literally had a forum- but Cycles is not cluttered like that. The only bad thing i can say is the notifications are pretty spotty for me, like i have some enabled and i just don’t think they work great, the only one i get is the log your day notification. Also, sometimes the tracking glitches the dates out a little but that might just be me being dumb so i don’t know! Also, it’s pretty cool the app can connect with apple health

Very Happy with this App

Before downloading this app, I was semi-routinely taking my temperature during my fertile days in order to avoid pregnancy. With a toddler, remembering and staying consistent with temperature tracking and checking myself was difficult at best. Since learning how to use this app, and learning how to change the cycle length and period length, I have not used my thermometer, nor have I been concerned about an unplanned baby. I feel confident that when we are ready to welcome a new member to the family the app will be helpful in helping us know the optimal time to create a new life. I've been able to succeed with this app just by using the basic, free pieces, which tells me that this app is designed well. I am considering paying so I can be even more accurate in tracking my cycle.
