Just lovely

This is arguably the BEST all-in-one app for food that can be found. As of this review, CozZo supports shopping lists, purchased item expiration dates, recipes, leftovers, and meal planning up to 2 weeks ahead. (With a ton more features, but those were my key “must-haves”) Sadly, it doesn’t have nutrition tracking (yet?), so I recommend just using a spreadsheet software for that. One star is taken off for the app crashing every day to few days. Nothing bad, just a minor annoyance.

Great for managing inventory

I really like how easy it is to add items to different inventory categories and to be able to search with barcode scanner. I only just got the app and entered in my inventory so waiting to see what else I like and don’t like.Only drawbacks so far:- search recipes by inventory crashes app on iPhone and iPad, don’t even know what the results would even look like- most items I do barcode scan for have unmeaningful names and I have to reword over half the items. Upside it keeps that renamed item for next time

Great way to keep track of food

I love this app since it keeps track of your fridge and pantry items. One thing that this app does that a lot of others don’t is it automatically tracks the expiration of the foods you enter. It gives you a lot of features out of the box during quick entry but adapts to your usage the more you use it and gives you a natural shopping list of the things you’ve gone through

There is a learning curve but worth it!

I waited until I had three weeks use in. I appreciate the help in managing my very deep pantry. It took awhile to inventory mine but am happy I did; I have much better awareness as a result. The receipt scan function was excellent the first two weeks and then stopped working, I will contact support. Farmers market visits of course are more of a manual entry. I am surprised and happy how many barcodes are already in the recognized database, that’s a nice timesaver. After I have more experience with importing recipes I’ll weigh in on that piece.

Paid Subscription - Lost my data

I had high hopes for this app and paid for the household subscription which allows you to have more than one “space” and link with other household members. After taking the time to add items to several different spaces, all of the items I took the time to enter were lost except for the ones in my original space. I believe this may have coincided with an update/subscription change on the backend. Support wasn’t very helpful. I will not be renewing and am looking for alternatives.

Great App; Bit Buggy

It's a great app that's changing how I look at my pantry, but there are some persistent bugs. Deleting recipes crashes the entire app, and certain websites don't import recipes correctly - which would be fine except you can't manually fix or complete malformed imports. It's also be nice to have folders for the cookbook, to see thumbnail pictures of items in list view, and to be able to use percentages of units instead of absolute measurements for quantity remaining. That said, it's a fabulous idea and has lots of great functionality that I think will help me keep track of my food and my grocery shopping!

Would be incredible if it worked…

Nothing is more infuriating than an app that alllllmooost works. I was really excited, since it looked like it had every feature I wanted.When looking for recipes with items I already had in stock, it failed to recognize ingredients in recipes that matched word for word with an item in my pantry. Folks I tried for 30 mins and was never able to help it recognize that “canned peaches” = “canned peaches”. Certainly doesn’t help that after entering in your own recipe, you can no longer edit the ingredients. I also had very little success importing my recipes in from other websites or apps. I must have tried 6 or 7 recipe keeper apps and websites before giving up - for short recipes in particular, it always kept claiming that it could not find any recipes on the page, or gave an extremely glitchy failure screen when importing from another app.

Can’t Edit Search

This app has a couple of major problems. First, when you have an inventory of 100+ items in a space, it is very difficult to find an item. There should be a filter or search on the screen when you are viewing the contents of a particular space. Second, there is a bud with the search on the home screen. The search works well and allows you to view the item — and easily change the quantity. However on this screen you can’t easily move an item to a different space (ex: from fridge to freezer) nor can you mark an item as consumed and add to your shopping list. You have to click the Edit button. Unfortunately, there is a bug in the current version. When you click the Edit button on an item from the search screen, it kicks to back to the home screen. If you try to edit enough times, it will eventually let you in after several attempts. Super frustrating and it makes the app just about worthless. What good is spending hours building an inventory, if I can’t update it?Update: the last release of this product was huge. Addressed all of my issues in my original review. I am also impressed that the developer responded quickly to my review. As a result, I am changing my review to 5 stars and look forward to the continued development of this app!

Good idea, Bad implementation

I have been trying to use Cozzo to manage my herbs and spices on an iOS device. First, there is NO library of herbs or spices, you have to type each one in; not a deal-breaker. Second, the available documentation is really really poor. This is made worse by the non-intuitive interface. I have used a lot of applications over the past 30 years and I think Cozzo’s interface is very non-intuitive. Bombined, these two issues are tough for a user to overcome. Third, there are many instances where Cozzo just freezes up — heck, it may me waiting for some input, it is not possible to tell; this is a real deal-breaker. By way of example, I tried to attach an image to a spice entry. I decided, in the middle, to stop but could not. There was NO WAY to back out of this operation. Again, there may be a way, it just was not at all obvious. I hope these folks continue on and fix these types of problems. I would have preferred they do a lit of this BEFORE they released the product, but . . .

FIXED.

The app is pretty good for keeping inventory, but the customizable grocery lists are very good, and much more valuable. The ability to make several lists for separate stores, or even restaurant orders for takeout are wonderful. The below no longer is true, was fixed within a day. Glad that the devs noticed.Won’t even open anymore with the latest update of iOS. Goes to the loading screen with the logo, then crash to Home Screen.
