I really LOVE this new game but …

I really love this new game from the details and how you can make different kinds of meals. I have a few issues starting from the change in mama’s voice to when you achieve 3 stars. I wouldn’t actually call this a issue I just found this interesting. Secondly, I found that you can’t undo one of the ingredients with coins and stuff like in the old game and somehow with that one miss up I get 2 stars instead of one which is odd but eh- it’s a game :p lastly when I clicked one my save data I found my meats replaced with dairy items . I’m guessing that it changes every day so I wouldn’t called this a issue just a weird theory. Overall this game is AMAZING I love everything in it! Please get this game if your a fan of cooking mama 👍

Great gameplay, questionable choices

The gameplay itself is quite fun, but there are a few things I wish stayed consistent with older Cooking Mama games.Daily ingredients are definitely a letdown, as I work hard to unlock ingredients and appliances one day only for them to reset the next.I can’t even practice certain steps, and I would consistently get two stars on a stir-fry piece until I figured out how to actually complete the step.Also, the mixing ingredients is a good idea but poorly executed. We should be able to choose to unlock new recipes (by spending stars as a currency, maybe?) or to find them ourselves through ingredients. I didn’t know I could make boiled eggs because the ingredient mixing is unclear at best.In my opinion, your time would be better spent using a ROM of DS cooking mama games instead.

Games great but…

The game is great for being a cooking mama game, however I did come across some bugs and couple of things that I ether don’t like or wast obvious. One thing is I wish I knew that you don’t need to combine everything that lights up, this could just be me, but it took me 3 days to find out you can make boiled eggs because I assumed the ingredients needed to be combined with something else before you can start cooking. Another thing is im not a huge fan of the different ingredients everyday thing, I cooked every thing I could with the ingredients it game me today and now I need to wait a whole day just to get carrots and beans to make something else. Something else I wish you could do is exit out of cooking WHILE your cooking, all the pause button does is just that, pause, if I want to get a three star on something and I messed up I needed to wait for mama to give me my score before I can redo, and this is worse if you mess up on the last step because you have to wait for mama to take beauty shots and praise your “almost” perfect dish. But other than that and a couple of glitches here and there it’s still a really fun game, there isn’t a lot of cooking games out there that I really enjoy and this is one of them. It’s worth it if you need a game to play during a flight or while in a waiting room; its also great because it could definitely keep a kids attention if you needed it to.

A cooking themed game, not great for learning to cook

This is a super cute game, with great design, and beautiful animations. There’s also some high-quality voice acting. If you’re the type who enjoys affirmation, you might enjoy this game for that alone. At first glance, it might seem like this game is about cooking, but in this game you’re doing less cooking, and more mini games. If you do the mini games right, things get cooked correctly. But the mini games aren’t always relevant to what’s being cooked. For example, one minigame had me make random cuts in the middle of steaks. I patiently waited till the end to see if those cuts in the steaks mattered, but they didn’t. That’s what forced me to realize that all I was doing was playing mini games in a cooking environment, and not actually doing things that would be relevant to cooking the dishes that are made. Additionally, you don’t actually know what you’re cooking until the meal is ready. That means you’re just doing random actions and waiting to see what the final result is. I’d recommend this game to anyone who’s a fan of mini games, in the same spirit as Mario party. But if you’re expecting a game that allows you a realistic cooking experience, it might be best for you to drop that expectation before trying this out.

Amazing (Espantoso)

I love this game because it helps me in many ways! I am a very very picky eater and to be able to see how some of the foods that I could eat in the future are made, makes me feel like I’m growing out of that feeling that I don’t want to eat a salad because I have never really tried one or something to that effect. So yeah I am going to say thank you! One quick thing, I think that you should totally go crazy and let us choose what to make instead If giving us different food’s daily. Thank you have a great day! Also, just something random, Espantoso means amazing in Portuguese

Almost Perfect

As a die-hard Cooking Mama fan from the original DS era, I love that I can take my favorite little chef everywhere I go. This is a visually beautiful game that anybody of any age, whether they are familiar with these games or not, would enjoy playing. However, my only qualm is that this app version of Cooking Mama is too easy at times. I understand that it’s targeted towards children, but I would hope that the franchise realizes that their original fans are now in their 20s. We’re looking to experience some nostalgia and have fun. I also feel that the original game and, even, the Wii game were more difficult that Cooking Mama Cuisine. Some of the difficult settings and challenges in those games felt like playing the hardest song on “Expert” mode in Guitar Hero. To remedy this, we should be able to change the difficulty setting of the levels like we could in the past. I hope this is implemented, because I can’t see myself playing this game for very long as it gets boring as times from the lack of challenge.

Recipes aren’t right

Recipes repeat themselves even if different ingredients are used. It’d be nice if I knew which orders I’ve tried when picking ingredients so I can tell which ones haven’t been chosen yet. Ingredients will appear in an order once you’ve started cooking that was never seen before. Certain recipes don’t include ingredients that they originally say they will include. How am I supposed to advance if these things aren’t fixed? Furthermore as a side observation, does the game have to show the avatar after Every cooking step? Pop up the stars quickly and show her in the corner or something while the stars are popping up. It’d also be nice to add a section where you can get the real recipes that you make on the app so you can duplicate them in real life

It’s good 😌

CookingMama: Cuisine is pretty fun to play and I found it pretty cool. But I would like the game more if they did a few things. 1: The part when you are done cooking 🥘: When you are done cooking, something pops up on the screen that says “ Congratulation!” It is supposed to be Congratulations!🎈🎉🎊🍾2: The little tumbleweed thing. If you mess up on any step, the tumbleweed thing will appear. But who is thinking about it? The CookingMama? 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3: Happy places. In your first CookingMama game released on the App Store, I saw 👀 that there was Happy Restaurant and Happy Ranch. They look fun !! I hope 🤞🏻 they make an exciting update with Happy Restaurant and Happy Ranch. So, I love this game. It is too cute !! ☺️☺️ I hope 🤞🏻 you find my review helpful and it makes you play more CookingMama.

Happy to play Cooking Mama again

I haven’t played any Cooking Mama for years, but I loved it when I was younger, so I was happy to see this come out on Apple Arcade since I thought it would be like a full release game. Overall, I enjoy it, though I’m not sure it’s as good as the handheld games were, but I can’t say exactly why since it’s been a long time. I think it would be better if it was more complex.The biggest quality of life improvement is definitely some way to be able to tell what recipe you’ll make with the ingredients you selected if you’ve already collected the recipe, it’s a bit of a pain trying to find new recipes since I keep running into the same ones I’ve already finished without realizing.I would give it 4 stars, but I feel like gameplay alone is closer to 3 stars.

not bad but not the best

lets start with the pros: it has GREAT graphics, when cooking the oil and a lot of the food looks almost real. i like how u can customize the kitchen and such. this game is really fun and way better than the free mobile cooking mama.however there are many flaws. i dont like how mamas voice is different, her accent and everything i love abt her is gone. why cant we have the old voice? maybe youve lost rights to the audio clips you used to use, but maybe get a voice actor who can replicate mamas old voice. mamas voice is whag i loved abt the game and now its just gone. i also wish we could redo a step during a recipe, so we font have to start the whole recipe over to get a five star.
