Just Right

Not only is the finished image pitch perfect, but the tools are intuitive, the interface easy, and the balance between readymade layout and freedom to create gratifying. A great app!

S’ok. Good idea.

Quick & easy gag covers. Missing Wheaties, though!The templates are not editable so far as I can tell, while I haven’t experimented enough to be sure. You get 7 templates in each pack & drop a photo in behind. I bought 2 of the packs, though I’m not sure I will ever use them. It would be nice if you could apply them to the Comic Life 3 app which has far more capability & gets better all the time, at a good price.This is a canned way to get used to the idea of what Comic Life 3 can do, in my opinion & can’t kick about the price, y’know. Its a fun diversion.

I’ve had it

I tried to us this app to make a cover. Maybe it takes a little getting used to. Maybe my iPhone screen isn’t the optimal interface and is just too small. I changed some text, and good ol’ autocorrect kicked in. I couldn’t see it, because the text edit box was below the controls at the bottom of the page. I couldn’t select the text to fix it. I tried zooming in, but it was still too low and was obscured. When I tried to update the text, the text just changed size and shape. I tried deleting it and copying some other text on the cover. After I got the text right, I tried to move the text, but it kept bouncing back to its original location. I give up.

Love the App!

Please update to work with the iPhone software. It has great features, especially when you combine with the other Comic Life Apps.

Fix it or F it

Okay I'm not usually brutal on App reviews, but I went to use this app recently, and it's very annoying what's happening.First apparently you can't type a caption in another program like the notepad and then paste it in because it becomes the giant notepad font as opposed to the normal comic book font.So then as you laboriously retype in what you already typed, some pop up appears right in the middle of your workflow, about joining their mailing list!!And you can't get out of it as the keyboard obscures the cancel button, and then when you do you find the half-paragraph you typed is now not editable!

Fun and Easy to Use

I really liked the original Comic Touch, and really like this version too. I'd give it five stars but there is one thing missing from both the old and new versions that I would really like to see: Arrows. I really want, no, need arrows! Comic arrows that would allow text would even be extra awesome. Otherwise this is a pretty great app.

So so...

Not a bad app per se, but missing key features. Primarily the ability to move and resize the photo chosen. Why you folks opted to not include this option is beyond me, but it cripples the app's functionality for me. You can move and resize everything else except the photo. I'm just dumbfounded by this.

Fun

I like this app!!! It does crash at times. And there seems to be anyway to resize image. When you post pic. It cuts off top part.

Amazing app.

This app is fantastic , the templates are top notchIf anything could make it better would be to have a way to make your own magazine template covers.

Newly released and still buggy

I'm a big fan and user of Plasq and its products, but this app is not ready for prime time. Sure, this is the first rev, but it crashes frequently on the iPhone 4S, sometimes requiring a phone restart. Good fun, though, and I'm sure the update will fix that problem.
